Samantha is playing on a boys soccer team and gets pushed away for the eighth time because she was too weak. At about the middle school age everybody changes, and usually, the girls will not be as strong or have the same physical abilities most of the boys will have. Guys are most likely taller and stronger than the girls so they would be able to out muscle the girls, jump higher, and the male is usually going to be taller than the girls. If the best of the girls that were good enough to play on boys teams played; The women sports funding might get cut for funding. Boys and girls should be on separate sports teams because boys are much stronger than most girls.
Girls shouldn’t be allowed to play on boys soccer teams, because of boys are more

If high school athletics gets cut for girls, the other girls would have to find a new hobby and have a better chance of taking the path to drugs and alcoholism. If all the girls sporting events get cut, then there is a greater chance that If all the girls that are good enough to play on boys teams funding might get cut. If the girl sports players went and played on boys teams, then it would first be unfair for men, and the girls funding could get cut(http://www.debate.org/opinions/should-girls-be-allowed-to-play-on-boys-sports-teams ). Girls should stay off boys teams to help school funding. If all the girls that are good sports players and could play on boys sports teams and the school cuts girls, the girls will not go to college( http://thelariatonline.com/girls-shouldnt-play-on-boys-teams/ ). If the girls don’t go to college, there would be a lot fewer people going to college, so the colleges wouldn’t be able to give scholarships for those who need them to attend college. The girls playing on boys teams could result in the women's sports getting
Its not fair to boys I dont mind if girls play on boys sports teams like basketball and baseball and soccer but not contact sports like football and wrestling because if i were to touch a girl during wrestling in the wrong spot then it would be weird, and if i were to tackle one in football, for one thing i cant hit a girl and i could injure her. Im not saying shes not tough but boys are more '' get down and dirty '' where girls are more like '' I need my blush'' so i dont think girls should play on boys CONTACT sports teams the others they should most certainly
The setting up of co-ed, or mixed gender, teams in schools has been highly debated by many students, parents, and school staff. Some argue than not allowing girls and boys to play on the same team promotes gender stereotypes among kids, while others claim that because of differences in body size and strength, boys and girls should not be on the same team. Co-Ed teams are in place across the nation with many claiming that they “promote a healthy environment where boys and girls are equal”, but the reality is that the forming of co-ed teams in some sports like football or basketball is not a good idea because boys won’t be able to get as physical with girls as they would with boys, nor would they be able to play by the same rules.
My first point is when do we decide boys should play with boys and girls should play with girls. Everyone develops at their own rate, which means that some girls develop at a faster rate than boys and could be able to compete fairly. A 12 year old girl named Makhaela Jenkins took this idea to court in 2013. She was fighting for her right to play on a boys only football team. She won her case, and that year there was more then 1,500 girls playing on boys football teams, which is a 17% increase since 2009, according to the National Federation of State high school Association.
In the world of sports it started off that girls could never play sports and then in 1972 a public law called Title IX came to existence which allowed girls to play sports but not with boys. Today the question is asked should girls play on boys’ sports teams? One would think that girls should not play with boys on a sports team because boys are just naturally taller and stronger than women and they would dominate the girls in a fully contact sport. Another may think that if a girl is truly capable to play on an all boys’ sports team, then she should not be denied the opportunity to try out for an all boys’ team. Some other people may believe that sports at younger ages should remain co-ed because boys and girls body types are still
Money is usually a problem with many things in life, one of them also happens to be gender equality. Colleges and universities spend an average of $1.6 million on the men’s athletics program. Yet, the women’s athletic teams receive nearly half that amount (Almond 2). Women should not be receiving half the amount that a men’s team gets just because their sports are less ‘popular’ than men’s. A school’s main objective may be to promote the men’s team first, to get out of a deficit. Then they may be able to finance the women’s team with the money they make from the men’s sporting events. That is not an equal or fair solution. It would take years to pay off a deficit and then sufficiently finance the female athletic programs. Numerical equality would take a vast quantity of public tax money in addition to the financial assistance that now pays for most of women’s sports. Universities increased its support of women’s athletics over the years but according to Ellen Voelz,
Throughout history, woman have been fighting for equality with men. This fight isn’t over and doesn’t stop with the right to vote or the right to wear pants. The progressive movements of feminism are starting to creep into younger generations, including, but not limited to young girls wanting to play on predominantly male-dominated sport teams. There are a lot of controversies when looking at this topic, saying there’s a natural strength advantage, it would be uncomfortable for a male to compete alongside females, among other reasons but ultimately, if the drive and effort is present, there are legal rights and no legitimate reason for woman to not be given the opportunity to prove themselves and normalize the incorporation of females to male sports.
When it comes to girls being able to play on sport teams, I favor this simply because it is a right for them to do so, the allegations formed against are unfair and unjust, and being placed on a team should be determined by skills, determination and abilities rather than gender.
I believe girls should be able to play on boys sports teams because it could get them ready for when they grow up. It would prepare both males and females for the challenge of life and having to work together. If girls and boy play on the same sports teams they could learn early on how to work together better and be more comfortable around the other gender. It could also expand popularity and it would make girls more equal to boys. The advanced girls who have no competition against other girls could now play against
Overall the lives of the athletes may be glorious and filled with amazing thrills that cannot be gained in a single day. Their lives consist of many sneaky deals and risky decisions that can either be a good sign or a terrible one. For all the teenagers or college students in this situation should be educated and know the basic concepts of adulthood to be informed of their choices and to be notified of the deals that are not always mentioned. Education in economics and financials is important otherwise, they will go through life clueless and will be bankrupt and broke. Decisions are key and if they are not fulfilled it can lead to a very negative outcome. Parents and educators should be more involved in these kids lives and my decisions in
I believe that boys and girls should be able to play on the same physical sports team, in this Essay I will try and convince you that girls and boys should be able to play on the same team. My first reason is the most obvious; its 2018 we should be able to play in peace! We already have been redefining gender stereotypes. My second reason is maybe having opposites sexes on a team could help prepare them for the "real world," sometimes the "real world" requires women and men to work together. Lastly is the fact that maybe it can help these children realize gender equality.
To begin, the school board shouldn’t cut the athletic program because students benefit from sports in their future.According from researcher Kevin Kniffin, students that played school sports, tend to get better jobs with better pay rather than those who don’t.This means that when student athletes play sports, they gain lifetime benefits of becoming a successful person. Sports on a person’s resume makes it look as if they have lot of confidence in them which is what companies look for.Researcher Kevin Kniffin stated,"If a teenager plays sports, they tend to get paid better and get a better job even if they don't go pro.”It doesn’t matter if a student athlete doesn’t get a scholarship or doesn’t make it to the big leagues because they will most likely
Girls shouldn't be excluded from any sports. This essay will explain several reasons why I think girls shouldn't be excluded from any sports. First of all, everyone is equal no matter what. In the story it talked about how African Americans didn't get to be in baseball teams. At first African Americans got to play with white people, but just because they were familiar with the game.
Throughout the article the writer talked about school sports and gender equality, the writer focused on girls not having the same sports or having the same opportunities as guys. In my opinion the writer should have focused on how both genders have unequality in sports. For an example, many of the schools don't have boys volleyball, meaning that the boys who want to play that sport can't. This is shown in many schools throughout the country including the school I go to. At Rangeview High school girls can play any of the sports that guys play, they can join the boys football team or wrestling team. On the other hand guys that want to play volleyball are not allowed to join the girls team. We are trying to teach our kids that gender equality
Although some people believe that girls should not play boys sports, it may actually be argued that they should play on boys sports team. Some girls like me may want to play stuff like football, baseball, and many more. Some girls may be down if they do not get to play their favorite sports.Like me I would keep asking to play on boys sports team.
People might still say that the segregation of genders in sports are making gender equality impossible, but the separation of genders in sports is not because one gender is better than the other. It is to ensure the fairness and equality. Women and men are naturally built differently and they both are both truly strong but in different ways. In order to keep sports fair, just and equal, the best thing to do is to keep sports separated by
