I feel that Jimmy should stay free .In the story, that I read there was a man named Jimmy Valentine. Jimmy was in prison ten times because he had broken in banks. The ending was left open with a cop telling Jimmy he knew that he had broken into three safes. In my opinion Jimmy Valentine should be let go free in the end. I think that Jimmy should stay free. The first reason he stay free is because he stopped robbing banks. In the story it said that he was going to sell his own tools because he gave up on cracking open safes. Even though he broke 3 safes open before he stopped robbing banks. The second reason is that he made an honest living. It says in the book that he was going to be married. The woman he was going to marry was Annabel Adams.
“It shows what a cruel and evil person you are,” said Raber, turning to Rinfret, adding, “She sentenced Jimmy to death, the least she can get is 11 years. Give Jimmy some justice because he can't be here for us. I'm begging you do what's right for
In the end, Steve is found Not Guilty and is allowed to resume his life outside of prison. The jury was correct in finding Steve Not Guilty of felony murder. However, Steve was still involved in the robbery and was there by choice. The jury failed to realize that even though he didn’t kill Nesbitt, he was still involved and did assist in the robbery. Even though this was proven to be true, Steve was still released. He has successfully gotten away with his crime and that should not have happened. He didn’t kill Nesbitt but that does not mean he’s free from any wrongdoing.
I think with all that has happened and since he has changed, he should not have to go to jail. He should have to apologize to Peter and then move on with his life because now Cole is healed and he knows now how it feels to get hurt by someone bigger and stronger than him.
A week after his release, there was a bank robbery in Richmond, Indiana. In addition, there were more bank vault burglaries. For example, in Jefferson City, Jimmy stole five thousand dollars. Due to this, Ben Price, the detective that imprisoned Jimmy, was summoned
Dustin Turner is innocent. He did not murder Jennifer Evans; however he is still serving an eighty-two year sentence in prison. Ten years more than what Billy Brown got sentenced. Turner has been locked away for half of his life. He deserves to be released. Although he waited 8 nerve-wrecking days to go to the police, he’s served his time to the system and the society to be released. Billy Brown should be the one to be sitting on death row waiting to get the chair for what he has done to Jennifer, her family, Dustin, his family, and even to his own family. Everyone is suffering from his drunken rage actions.
This wasn’t the first time that his emotions got the best of him, but as life is, every action has its consequences and Jimmy’s consequence for killing Ray was his son killing his daughter to get him back for what he did. His constant want for revenge also lingered with him constantly. From the very moment that Dave went missing, he was seeking revenge on the men who kidnapped Dave. This feeling continued throughout his life and he always had the feeling that he had to take his revenge on the people that did something to him. This is shown when Jimmy kills Ray for
Even while sitting in a small cell locked away from humankind, Jimmy is more of a man and human being than those who are willing to put another human being behind bars for a plant.
What is the difference between a Jimmy Dill Jimmy Dill’s story is one filled with tragedy and no happy ending, having to endure the life long trauma from childhood sexual assault, the mental difficulties that come with possessing an intellectual disability and substance abuse. Jimmy Dill had shot a man over a drug dispute; the man survived the encounter, only dying 9 months later due to his caretaker failing to advance on his needs. Jimmy was the one to be blamed for this, even though the victim died to circumstances outside of the confrontation. Jimmy, not being financially stable around the time, was sentenced to death, running out of time to find a reliable lawyer; he was executed, his life ending without a chance to defend himself. Him and Walter are both black men and therefore seen as less in the eyes of the law they have lie in a similar position though there was more Jimmy also was dealt with the horrors of mental illness a majority of his life and with the stigma around mental health he wasn’t allowed any comfort and was senselessly slaughtered by the law.
Throughout the letter Adams implies to her son reasons on why he is a great man. Adams letter gave many reasons on why she believed that her son was a great man to start off with. He cared immensely about his work and wanted to be able to provide for his family. In this quote from the text we are able to see that “When I found you and Cory and a halfway decent job... I was safe.... I wasn't going back to the penitentiary. I wasn't gonna lay in the streets with a bottle of wine.
He had a reason to write these works. As a die-hard abolitionist, He wanted to show the world how bad slavery really was.
He was trying to help assist with the runaway slaves so that they could become free. And that takes a lot of courage to want to and to do something like that. There are a lot of people who would not want to risk their own life to save someone else’s. Even though his wife was still a slave and he wanted to free her. It was probably more important to him that he would be able to get her.
Emily15 @Fred_627: Haven’t you heard the news? All the news says about him is that he was the most amazing inmate. He listened to every command and was very kind. That sounds like someone that has learned their lesson to me. Do you not want O.J. Simpson, the favorite football star, back to his normal life he had before either trials?
I was startled and surprised when I read on page 10 how he frequently met with slaves who were well dressed and looked as though they were living an easy life. He even said they consulted him about escaping, but out of fear they didn’t. To me it was almost like a vision was shown to him of what his life was about to become as a slave. When he arrived in Washington and was shown his sleeping room in the back part of the hotel where he began to think about the wife and children after he lay down and felt guilty about his choice to leave without telling them. My question to him would have been why did it take you so long to think about them and why did you put money before your family you were making good money doing odd and end jobs. It seems to me he was greedy for money and sacrificed his family for it and caused a lot of hurt and pain to his family. The other question I have is how
devices throughout his narrative to show the reader why slavery was such a horrific time. He was very
