Legalizing marijuana is the most argumentative issue in United States. It has been discussed for many years. There are many debatable questions that need the final answers such as: Should Marijuana be legalize and taxed? Should medicinal marijuana in all states? Should the issue be addressed at the national or at the state level? Everything has its own pros and cons, so does legalizing marijuana. It can reduce the pain in medical purposes, prevent consumers from consuming marijuana illegally, and develop the United States economic. Marijuana helps people getting hungry constantly. In the article by Stephen Mayer called “ Providing Personal Use: The Admissibility of Evidence Negating Intent to Distribute Marijuana”, the author clearly mentions:” If marijuana’s medical applications gain wide acceptance, defendants with symptoms like Judge Reichbach’s will certainly attempt to introduce those symptoms as evidence that they too possessed marijuana for symptom relief, not distribution.” (1264) It gives patients some relief pain and nausea, stimulates appetite, and makes patients easier to sleep. Marijuana does not distribute to reduce the symptoms of the diseases. However, somebody uses those medical purposes above, and marijuana abuse for personal use is the most dangerous problem. Marijuana seriously causes bad effects for human’s healthy when people overuse it a little too much. While tobacco has a bad reputation for pumping the huge amount of carcinogens into the lungs, marijuana is estimated to have different levels of carcinogens that are 50-70% higher than tobacco smoke (“Pros & Cons of Legalizing Marijuana”). The effect is extremely amplified by the fact that many marijuana smokers inhale more deeply than cigarette smokers.
