64% of students get stressed and overwhelmed by such long classes or too much work. Schools should make more breaks throughout the day because students get stressed, it will give your brain a break, and it won't overwork the students.
For example, many students get frustrated or stressed during some classes. It may be one of their weak subjects that they are struggling in, or they might not be interested in what they are learning. Most of the time, students get frustrated because they don't understand something. The teachers always want to help, but the other students might have questions also. When students get overwhelmed, it makes them not want to try or come to school.
Another reason why I think there should be more breaks during the
To begin with a short break can affect the way a students brain function. First of all trying to keep up with everything in almost seven different classes can be very stressful. Next, some kids get very tired during class so getting a break can affect that a lot. Finally, some students have trouble sitting still in class so being able to move around in the halls can also help with that.
The streets are dangerous after it snows people are reckless and it's no place for children . That's why I have many reasons schools shouldn't ban snow days. The most important reason why schools shouldn't ban snow day because their are kids who can't take the school bus and won't be able to get to schools. Another reason why schools shouldn't get rid of snow days is if cars shouldn't be on the road than neither should kids. The third reason why snow days shouldn't be banned is parents who think its dangerous will revolt.
When the school only gives you five minutes in between each class period and you have a whole bunches of things to do like go talk to the office or run to your locker up stairs, or talk to a teacher about missing assignments, whatever it might be five minutes just isn't enough time. I think it should be 15 minute breaks between each class for several reasons. One is it gives you plenty of time to talk to a teacher or run to your locker without constantly worrying about being late for class. Or if you have no errands to do it could give you some time to study for a big test next period, or work on homework
The students could use this time to go home or somewhere to eat food they want to eat and hang out with there friends. Also when students are at school the day seem long with a break in there it make it a little shorter. “We sit in classrooms ALL day. No sunlight, no fresh air. Just the captivity of some grey walls and a hallway cramped up constantly with other people.
Therefore, passing periods should be extended to 10 minutes since there are upsides and very few downsides, the upsides: Have more time to get to their classes, students can be spared from the worst
School is a tiring for most kids in the United States. Students should be able to catch about 30 minute breaks at school. Breaks will be great for kids at school, so they can study for an upcoming test, take a nap, and socialize with your peers. Let’s transition to number one.
Can you imagine going to an all year round –school? It must be horrible. You would have to go to school all year with short breaks in-between quarters. You couldn’t go on vacation, you couldn’t do activities, and summer is for family memories and its tradition. So why would we change tradition to go to school all year. Here are reasons why we shouldn’t apply to an all year round –schools.
These characteristics can also cause the already identified students to not achieve to their fullest due to stress and lack of motivation.
First off, Small breaks during school can affect many student’s grades. This break can wake students up, letting students have more energy to pay attention in class. Most students know the feeling of being tired in class. It can prevent the student from learning, and can cause them to get in trouble in some cases. From past experiences, I have learned that the best way to be successful is to have balance. Students cannot do that if they have to sit in a building all day without moving around or fresh air. Students should have outdoor breaks during a school day to boost productivity, daily exercise, and energy.
Do you ever get tired in school and all you want is a break? Well how would you feel if we did have breaks and could go outside and relax. Well thanks to a new and upcoming idea you can. Taking breaks every so often during school is a great idea for many reasons.
I think high school students need a longer break during the school day to relax and prepare for the rest of the school day. We don’t want recess, but an amount of time every day that we can be with friends and be able to get their mind off of classes and assignments and maybe even get some physical exercise. A recent study said “according to a growing body of research, people learn better if they are given breaks during their day”(Do High School Students Need Recess?" KQED Education KQED Public Media for Northern CA. N.p., n.d. Web. 26 Aug. 2015). This shows that a majority of people can not only learn better, but are more likely to receive better grades. Why would schools not want to do this? This would not
When I hear one say, specifically Roman Hebel, “With school out of the picture, I can be stress free and happy” it evokes many questions and stress inside. How does one’s stress disappear simply due to school being put on the back burner? Yes, most homework responsibilities are not of concern, but our school break is only nine days. With nine days, I don’t believe that all individuals including himself are duty and completely worry free. I don’t know about most people, but merely because school is put on hold does not relieve all the worries in the back of my mind. Those issues will always be their haunting me and producing stress until they are resolved, and trust me I do not want to deal with them over a well deserved break. However, this is all just apart of life whether we attempt to enjoy the free time given to us or not. With that being said, the short interruption with school does not create a stress free environment where I am allowed to enjoy myself.
three hours, so a break is necessary for everyone. Breaks are usually ten to twenty
“It’s not stress that kills us, it is our reaction to it.”-Hans Selye. Today’s high school students are more stressed out than ever, according to the American Psychological Association (APA Survey). However, it is what we do about this stress epidemic that will decide the future of today’s students. High school students need a break during the school day, to decrease stress, improve cognitive function, and improve the overall mental health of students.
