It seems that teens think tattoos are the new trend and are hopping on the bandwagon to get one. Tattoos are a huge commitment for anyone, especially for teens. About 67%of teens around the world are temted to get tattoos without parental consent. They argue that they should be allowed to get tattoos when they want to and how they want to. Teens also say they should't need to get parental consent to get a tattoo becuase they are just expressing themselves. Teens can express themselves using their voices, but the real question here is whether or not teens should get tattoos without parental consent. Teens are too young and have no common sense, so they should not be abele to get a tattoo without parental consent. For one teens are very
Have you ever been restricted from doing something you wanted to do because of your age? HEY There are many laws put in place formed around age restriction, the most popular being driving and drinking. However, other common activities restricted by age are getting piercing and tattoos. Currently, in the state of Florida, kids under the age of eighteen may not be tattooed or pierced without the consent of a legal guardian. Legalizing teens to have tattoos and unnatural piercings without the legal consent of a guardian should not be permitted because of immature decisions, dangers along with job restrictions.
Would you prefer your child to have a safe tattoo or a potentially life threatening disease? Having the legal age for getting a tattoo lowered to 16 can prevent disease, spread tattoo businesses, teach responsibility to young adults, and allow today’s younger generation to express themselves through art. In society today, it is becoming more and more normal to see tattoos on younger people. Instead of a new haircut or a new pair of shoes, younger people like to get a new tattoo or a new piercing.
Teens should not smoke because the use of tobacco causes many serious health effects, and teens that smoke frequently can have just as difficult a time quitting as adult smokers. A study done by the American Lung Association states that cigarette smoking throughout adolescence
When first walking into the artist’s tattoo and piercing shop, the artist will hand you the correct paperwork to fill out for this type of piercing. If not the age of 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian present. Both you and your guardian also have to have a form of identification with. Once all of your paperwork is filled
Tattoos have become a part of people’s lives. Thirty years ago, one out of every one hundred people had at least one tattoo (Feygin, NP), so you can imagine how high the numbers are now. People get tattoos because they are personal to them. Tattoos are a form of art for most people, something occurs in their lives and they get it permanently on their skin to represent a memory. “A tattoo is defined as an indelible mark fixed upon the body by inserting pigment under the skin” (Dinter, 15). Tattoos are a way for people to express themselves; therefore, they should be allowed to be visible in the workplace.
No teens shouldn’t have privacy because if their kids have something to hide then they should not have a phone. Kids should be trusted but only to a certain extent. Parents should regularly check their child’s phone to make sure they are being responsible. Some kids might start hanging out with the wrong people so if their parents check their phones then they could stop them from making some bad choices. Kids can say very mean stuff so if parents go through their child's phone the might catch them and make then stop. Some children get bullied so if their parents find the texts then they could report the kids and then they will stop being hateful. Most kids with a phone have social media and there can be some vulgar stuff on these sites and
I believe that teenagers at the age of 16 should not get a tattoo even with a parent consent. At the age of 16 you are just starting to become an adult, driving is now an option for you, finding a job to work at is the main one.All these events happening at the same time and you want to get a tattoo that you won’t be able to pay for at that time. Therefore, the apportiate age to get a tattoo would be around 18 becuase you have or about to graduate and you have been working for 2 years now and can help more with some of the finacial things.Sometimes, you think that whatever tattoo you got durning that time can be (in) but in the next 5 years might just be the most embarrising thing you have on your body.As a conecction to this my uncle has a tattoo
My class and I talked about being able to vote at the early age of 16. After everyone debated, we reached a conclusion. There are two main points to discuss whether teens should vote or not.
“According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, about 45 million Americans have tattoos, and there are now over 4,000 tattoo studios across the country.” (Johnson 1). Tattoos are the ultimate way to express one’s
Do first impressions matter? Should anyone’s physical appearance influence which job they are worthy of? The answer to these questions should be no, however, in this day and age and the society we live in, the answer unfortunately is yes. People say first impressions are very important and they last, and it is said that most employers will judge applicants based on physical appearance, as do many of us. However, does that mean tattoos should be impermissible in the workplace?
I believe that teens at the age of 16 should be able to get a tattoo without parents consent. I think that it should be legal for teens to get tattoos without their parents consent because it's that person's choice to get a tattoo if they want. No one can say you can't have one because you can do whatever you want with your body. when you're sixteen our becoming an adult and starting to have more responsibilities. Being able to get a tattoo is a great way to show that you can do things on your own and you're ready to become that adult.
Allowing young women to seek a legal or illegal abortion without notice to their chief advisors and caretakers, their parents, appears on the surface to be a wholesale assault on the core meaning of family support. (Beverly Ballaro) Leaving parents out the loop in abortions can only contribute to family dysfunction. The unfortunate fact is that for many women who unintentionally get pregnant at an early age, parental abdication of the role of counselor has played a role. For a whole range of reasons including social challenges, these parents have given up their roles, leaving their children to cope themselves and sometimes a young woman coping strategy is to engage in a premarital sexual relationship that has no hope of leading to stable family structure.(Martin Daniel)
Parents believe it’s a good idea to have a curfew for teens. Parents should make it so that teens don’t have a curfew. “It’s not fair. They think all kids are bad, but we’re not,” (Martha Irvine) said a 13-year old Jose Regalado, parents are always worried about their children at night when it late outside, now so many things could happen to children while they are outside but teens need to be making their own decisions and being independent and learning how the real world works.
Tomas has a black inked dragon on his shoulder, Amanda has a lotus blossom tattoo on the back of her neck. Martin, a single dad, has his daughters names tattooed on his wrists. Megan has a blue heart tattooed right above her heart to symbolize the love for her newborn baby.Having tattoos obviously doesn’t affect one’s career or job prospects as much as it once did. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any effect at all. Each tattoo has a personal meaning, each person will tell you that the tattoos are an important expression of their identity. And yet there are many workplaces that include a ban on body art and piercings in their dress code. So should tattoos be allowed in the workplace or should they be banned?
Teens should not get plastic or cosmetic surgery because they believe once they get the surgery, this is it and they won’t get it anymore, when in contrast, they’ll only get more and more. According to Treatment4Addiction.com in The Dangerous of Plastic Surgery Addiction “In a 2007, the American Society of Aesthetic Surgery reported that almost 13.2 Billion Dollars was spent on plastic surgery; a 17% increase” (Treatment4Addiction.com 1). This quote gives us real evidence on just how much we spend on plastic cosmetic surgery. Not everyone in the world wants to get surgery, but the numbers keep on increase, which means that people are getting addicted to this. In the same article The Dangers of Plastic Surgery Addiction by Treatment4Addiction.com “The total number of cosmetic procedures has skyrocketed 457% and growing since 2007.”
