Should young people serve in the military? I think not because they have a lot of life to live, they shouldn’t have to experience that situation at such a young age, andthey haven’t been raised all the way yet. Young people have a lot of life to live still. They need to experience a life of freedom and have a decision to want to join the military. Children need to had an education in order for a future, even being in the military. If you’re still a child why should you have to serve for 2 years or even serve at all. They shouldn’t have to experience that. Young people shouldn’t have to experience serving in the military. It’s too much scarring for a teen to have to see killing occurring. They shouldn’t see that violence is necessary
“Should the United State of America adopt the idea that every American citizen should serve at least 2 years in the military?”, in my opinion, this is a terrible idea. America is “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave”. Going into the military should be a personal choice. What would this benefit anyways? This is, in my opinion, a bad idea, this would change the course of America’s history as we know it.
The idea that members of a community have the duty to defend it, is as old as civilization itself (Ruschmann 10). The United States has an extensive history, starting with the original thirteen States of involuntary conscription in time of conflict. Citizen’s service is a standard principle of American military service, which places the obligation of service upon citizens to serve and to ensure that the state require those citizens to serve (Dalehite and Birskyte 1). With this obligation, young people will be imbued with a sense of “duty” and being part of the collective effort in which everyone will have and do their part for the benefit of the nation. Thereby, military service in the
First, I think that there should not be a mandatory military service here because some people may not want to. The military can not obligate people to serve in the military. People have rights here to choose whether or not they
When people think about the military, they first go to thinking about the men and women that fight for our freedom or they think about the husband and wives that they are leaving, or they think about big trucks and guns. Rarely do people think about the kids that get caught up in this world. They do not get to choose to live in the world like their parents, these kids just get born into it and there is no way out. People look at these kids and feel bad for them, but they should not feel bad for them. The kids growing up in this world are able to travel, learn a new language and they get opportunities that normal kids would not be able to dream of. Even though they have great opportunities, military kids face challenges that most adults have never had to experience. Growing up in the military world has its pros and its cons.
Why is electing a political representative much more important than authorising a 16 year old to go fight and potentially die for their country.
Every able-bodied American should be required to serve a minimum of two years of military service. We are the first line of defense; whether it be of our county or ourselves. Many are more than willing to turn this responsibility over to someone else. As a society, we are soft, distrustful of one other, thin-skinned, easily distracted, and unwilling to take personal responsibility for our actions. Mandated military service will help establish a more committed nation that is resilient, respectful of rights and freedoms, will enter adulthood with practical work experience and better physical fitness standards. I will inform you of each way military service would be beneficial for the general population.
However, the last situation is different. If the military decides to kill the three people they found it will be morally correct, because they are on a mission, and they cannot risk the mission because of they found three innocent people that may give themselves away. So if they have some doubt about what the farmers and the teenager will do, they should kill them and they will be
The time someone becomes an adult varies from state to state in the United States. The three ages of consent in the US are 16, 17, and 18. Some children that have been in war were those ages when they got “recruited” So that means they should face their crimes, right? Well they were forced into it anyway why should their age matter. Whether they’re 8 or 18 if they have an AK-47 against their head will most likely do whatever the person with the gun says.
Mandatory military service is wrong. Have you ever known someone that was devastated because they lost a child, father, sibling, mother, grandmother, or a grandfather to war and bombings? If you don’t, you soon will if they force young people to serve two years of military service.
Have you ever wondered why the U.S. doesn’t make kids do two years? No young kid should have to leave their family to go fight in a war. Reasons why are because their parents would be torn, The kids need to start their future, and they need enlightenment. These kids don’t need to be handling guns, knives, etc. I wonder why other countries have these kinds of rules.
Less than one percent of all Americans are enlisted in the military. An even smaller percentage of high school students are enlisted. Students are thought to be incompetent, and not mature enough to decide on enlisting in the military. However, students should be allowed to join the military. The military offers many benefits students can use to help their future. The protection of our country is not overlooked for recruits; they are awarded many personal benefits as well. Tuition assistance, job training, and many benefits that help prepare recruits for occupations while enlisted. Not only are students getting great benefits, but they are also in a small group of professional workers.
One reason younger people are joining the military is simply to serve their country. The term serve doesn't refer to only those who fought in a war, but also for those who have never deployed. Military attorneys prepare needed paperwork to those preparing for battle. Military doctors serve their country by providing services to the sick and injured. Who would ever think a chef could serve his or her country? Well, someone has to prepare meals for the troops and the President of the United
I believe that high school graduates should not be required a year of service before going to college. Some students, by choice, will join the military or civil services; others may already be set on a career they want to achieve. For example if someone wants to be a doctor, they already have many years of school ahead of them. But, if students are not attending college immediatley following high school, they should be required a year of service. As a result, students are able to learn valuable life lessons and give themselves a better life. For example they learn to be flexible, make safe decisions, and self-direct themselves. Students that are already set on going to college, however, should not need to serve due to the commitment it takes.
Although we need people to help serve, they should give people the right to choose whether or not they want to fight. If they get kids that just turned 18, a lot of them wont be ready to face war. Some aren't even ready to face the responsibilities the world has for them, let alone have them fight for their lives. Once they send them out there with or without the proper training, more than half will most likely die due to the fact that they're just not ready mentally. For example, a guy has been spoiled his whole life
As many other countries mandate young adults partaking in the military for two years, the United States should follow suit. Many beneficial consequences would be rendered as a result of the increase in service. This would also be a great commencement into the real world for any young adult. These statements can be explored by discussing the benefits of free college tuition, disciplined young adults who are ready to follow orders, and the sheer power of numbers.
