When one imagines a positive person in society, many people may come to mind. Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., and many more are positive influences on the society of the world today. A positive influence in the society is someone who lets his or her beliefs be known in a respectful way, are non-violent, and do not force opinions on anyone else. Ayn Rand is a positive influence on society because she was an author who wrote philosophical novels that showed her views in a non-violent manner, she revolutionized thought processes, advanced views of society, and remained objective, practicing objectivism. A positive influence on society has many traits. The lack of violence in expressing his or her opinion is crucial to being a positive influence. If someone were to use violence while expressing his or her opinion, this would be negative influence because violence is negative. Non-violent expression of feelings and views is the way to show any group of people respect and it is substantially more likely to get the message across and it will be taken in as positive. Revolutionizing thought processes is also another important trait for a positive influence on society. In the case of Ayn Rand, she wrote novels, and she used such vivid language and real world applications that it made people think so deeply, thus causing a reaction in their brain that opened their eyes to a whole new line of thought. Advancing views of society is also a necessity for a positive influence on society to have. Imagine if nobody ever stood up for women’s rights or the telephone was never thought of. To bring positivity to a society, one must bring to the table what no one else has yet, and have a real plan for how it works. According to Luis De Jesus, a writer for the Ayn Rand Institute foundation website, as an objectivist, one must accept the fact that existence exists. For someone to exist, they must acquire a specific identity. Remaining objective means to reject emotions, faith, or any form of

I smiled and kissed her tenderly. Never will I tire of this freedom nor will I take it for granted. Uttering a last goodbye, I started on my quest to fill my city with citizens..
One great example of this would be Doctor Martin Luther King Jr and Nelson Mandela. Martin Luther King was an activist and

Ayn Rand’s Anthem challenges the prevailing wisdom that selflessness and sacrifice are morally superior to selfishness and self-interest. In the 1937 novel, Rand depicts a future in which individual identity is erased and all action is collective in nature. The word ‘I’ has been eradicated and all people use the plural ‘We’ to refer to themselves, as it is the concept of self that a society based on selflessness must destroy. In Anthem, the banishment of individualism leads to severe dystopian consequences that are explored through their impact on the protagonist, Equality 7-2521, on the end of innovation in society, and as the basis for the collapse of society itself into a totalitarian dictatorship.
For example, an activist named Iqbal believed in education for kids. He gave speeches all over the world to show his beliefs on education rights. Many people got inspired to help his belief that everyone should have education rights. Another activist who gave speeches is Malala Yousafzai, to tell people that everybody(especially girls), should have education no matter his or her circumstances of life, genes, or religion. Her speeches inspired many people to help kids get education. “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”, she
Would you like it if the government had complete control of you? For example, the government might tell you who you aloud to interact with, or they could tell you what job that you have to go to every single day, and where you are allowed to live. The government should not have the right to control an individual because a person knows what's best for them, such as who they from relationships with, what they do for a living and what their lifestyle looks like.
When babies cry, they cry for various reasons, when they are hungry or tired or need their diaper to be changed, but there is another reason on top of all this too. Babies can “fake cry” to gain the attention of their parents. It does not matter if that same parent is exhausted or busy; that baby will wail in order to be noticed. Even when we do not know the meaning of the word selfish, we exhibit signs of it so early into life. Our being selfish is innate, apart of our nature , just like every other animal that fights and hunts to sustain itself.
Ayn Rand was a woman born and raised in Russia. She is what one would call a very dauntless woman when it comes to her personal thoughts, and she is not fearful of sharing her said thoughts. She is a strong believer of Ethical egoism, to look out for one’s own self interest, and her blunt fashion of voicing her thoughts shocked most of the public. She also wrote a book, Anthem, as if to show what would happen if we solely relied on our government and fellow man, how we would revert to a time before technology and almost have a Hungergames type of segregation. Now, the government of today is not like the one described in Ayn Rand’s book, however, government official Rand Paul referenced her writings in his argument against the Energy Independence act of 2007, and may have unintentionally compared the two governments. There is no right or wrong way to claim his action as. Many believe it was incorrect to make this reference,
Vision a lifestyle where one perceives it as a sin to comprehend data more efficiently than of one’s peers; a felony to long for things that others do not wish upon. Where floods of white tunics and austere minds obliterate the Earth. A colony built upon leaders who asphyxiate anyone from infatuation of any object or significant being; moreover, a world suffocating in collectivism. Through exasperated transcription, Anthem brings about such a community; nevertheless, a world of black and white. Ayn Rand does not overemphasize the effects of totalitarianism, but amplifies it so that it is more effortless for one to enlighten he or she’s notion on the particular proposal. First, by analyzation of “Equality 7-2521”, and
In Anthem by Russian philosopher Ayn Rand, she endeavors to explain the good nature of man and demonstrate the heroic being of mankind. Happiness is expressed as being the ability to think. Through the satirical story the author proves the importance and happiness that comes from being unique and individual.
Society originally rejects individuals who are unlike itself. These people eventually become the most well-known folks that have changed the world. Both Martin Luther and Elvis Presley prove this indication to be correct. Some of the most wonderful people are the ones who do not fit into society’s boxes and encourage a perspective that accepts
Influential people care about people and change more than themselves, which makes them selfless. They give their life to people in order to make a change in the world. Bob Geldof lived a selfless life. Instead of making mainstream music, Geldof made music to make a change in the world. He brought attention to world problems through music.
Ayn Rand was from the Soviet Union, and her background helps us to understand her rhetoric about why she preached her philosophy. “Born in Russia, and a hater of the revolution, Ayn Rand dreamed of America as an Eden of individualism. When she got there - becoming first a Cecil B de Mille extra, later a
