Thank you very much for talking with me yesterday about the secretary opening with Silverlake Elementary School. The position sounds both challenging and rewarding; however, I would love to become a member of your staff. I appreciate the time that you spent discussing the different scenarios that involve the responsibilities of the position. I believe that my years of experience make me an ideal candidate for the position. As I mentioned in my interview with you, I have worked in the same environment for 15 years and would love to learn more of your policies and procedures. I am very organized, a great communicator and pay close attention to the needs of others. I also believe that all employees and students are the most important asset,
Park Middle is located in Scotch Plains, New Jersey and is one of two middle schools within the town. On average there are 930 students enrolled at Park over the past three years (See Appendix A, Table A1). Additionally, Scotch Plains’ population consists of 77.4% White citizens, but is also composed of 11.1% of African Americans, 7.7% Asian, and 6.7% Hispanic citizens (see Appendix B, Table B1). The town’s population is largely representative of the school’s demographics (see Appendix C, Graph C1). When referencing the school’s performance on district benchmarks and state testing, Park Middle School has met most of their established targets. However, even with most established targets met, certain subgroups are in need of further attention
Last year, at Kingsland High School’s Graduation Ceremony, Josie Hinze not only receiveed her High School Diploma, but also her Associates of Arts Degree before even attending any college or university. Fast-forward to one year later, and seven Kingsland students will be graduating high school with both their High School Diploma and AA Degree thanks to the collaboration of Riverland Community College and Kingsland High School for allowing high school students to take college-level courses in high school and receive college credit for them. Not only that, but there are several others who will be graduating Kingsland High School with transferrable college credit so their first few semesters might
To determinate if the personnel director at East High School is in trouble for these lawsuit is important to consider the two sides and see if the laws that protects minorities are valid for this case or the arguments from Tory Bolton are valid in the case.
Willows high School is located in Willows, the county seat for Glenn County. It is approximately 90 miles north of Sacramento and 35 miles west of Chico where California State University, Chico is located.
Sherwood Middle School’s students as well as parents were shocked at the news that Sherwood Middle School was hiring a new vice principal in place of Kevin McIntosh. The new vice principal’s name is Marc Jolley. The reason Mr.Jolley is here is because recently, Mr.McIntosh had made the choice to leave the Sherwood school district. While many students are untroubled and rather pleased with the new change, others are wondering if it was the right decision to hire Mr.Jolley.
Assistant Principal (AP) will be entering the community on October 01, 2016 to partner with parents of students that attend Silverado High School. The time has come for the students at Saltillo High School to wave goodbye to their principal. In a short amount of time, Mr. Devaughn will retire and leave the student body to wonder who will lead them next. Now students must consider their expectations of how a principal should carry out their job. The school board should take into account these expectations when choosing who they wish to represent the school. After much thought, the students of Saltillo High School have decided that they need a principal who can create a good school community, discipline the students, and act fairly.
Ridgeway Junior High School faculty and staff alongside some parents of students of Ridgeway find themselves in the throws of a heated debate against other parents on the permissibility of providing students attending this junior high with contraception through the school. Ridgeway Junior High is a low income school located in Maryland, where black, latino and other students of color are in majority. In many recent years, Ridgeway has seen the increase of teen pregnancies, last year alone there was a district record high of 25 pregnant girls, which didn’t include students who didn’t report because they for example, secretly had an abortion. Franklin Junior High which is just outside of Lincoln Heights, where Ridgeway is located, is predominantly middle class white families and sees much lower instances of teenage pregnancy without having to provide contraception at school. The health class at Ridgeway is not that comprehensive, abstinence is preached, but not extensively, it warns of the dangers of teenage pregnancy and STDs,
Thank you for the opportunity to work one-on-one with special needs students expanding my teaching experience and knowledge. I have very much enjoyed being a part of the Oakleigh Elementary School team.
At East Granby High School, there are no honor codes or a system that would cultivate integrity and prevent cheating and plagiarizing. This is troubling because cheating and plagiarizing play a large role in the school’s community. For example, some teachers have had to make different versions of tests to prevent cheating in the classroom. By establishing a system in which students would have to sign a statement ensuring that they would not cheat, steal, or plagiarize on any of their assignments at the beginning of each quarter, the community as a whole would benefit through the maintaining of the honesty of more of the student body. Even though honor codes would not eliminate dishonorable behavior entirely, the act of signing a statement would make those who cheat or plagiarize understand the reality of their actions. Furthermore, the principles within the system could explain the punishments that would be administered for the violating of the established code. The student body at East Granby High School would benefit from the formation of an honor system that would provide rules that made it clear that cheating, stealing, and
A recently hired assistant principal from another school in the district has been placed as the interim principal of Shoreline Elementary, a small elementary school with very involved parents and mostly well behaved students. The interim principal has been doing well in her new position and is hoping to become the principal as it is unlikely that the former principal will return.
The case study of Ridgewood Middle School resonated with me in a positive manner. The elementary school where I teach, while not riddled with graffiti, shares many characteristics with the old Ridgewood. Our families struggle with extreme poverty and our community has the highest violent crime rate in the city. As I have mentioned previously our test scores are among not just the lowest in the city, but also the lowest in the state. We have an extremely high teacher turnover rate and I have worked with three different principals in three years. The teacher turnover rate would be even higher if new teachers were allowed to transfer. Consequently, we have students and some staff that simply do not want to be in our school. The successes of
