The United States and India are very similar and different in various areas of life. These subsections describe their similarities and differences in a concise fashion.

The Social aspect of both India and the United States refers to the societies within these two nations. Indian society is much more traditional, conservative, and religious. In the region of India, society is constructed in a hierarchy. This hierarchy divides individuals in caste groups, ranking individuals based on wealth and power. Society in the United States on the other hand is not based on religion. Society is divided into three classes: the wealthy class, middle class, and poor class. India is focusing on the spread of digital technologies, advances in energy, and productivity of business and agriculture (Kaka, 2014). The United States is much more technologically advanced than India. As those in India use technology to gain jobs, the constant dependence in technology in the United States can lead to the disconnection of people towards the outside world. The reliance on technology could result in the lack of social and developmental skills, constant distraction from smartphones, and negatively impact futures. The sole purpose for technology in both these regions is to improve the lives of its citizens. Health care in India originates with the idea that health is based on our happiness and lifestyle. Ayurveda, which is widely practiced in India, helped start the movement of complimentary and alternative medicine in the west. Although there are only a few trained practitioners, Ayurveda is growing fast in the west. There is now a training program in New Mexico, and Dr. Deepak Chopra helped expand the knowledge of Ayurveda in the United States. Ayruveda gained plenty of recognition because it was thought to be successful in preventing and treating chronic conditions, or any illnesses western medicine can’t treat (Professor Price, Ayurvedic Medicine Powerpoint). This alternative medicine would also be used by those who are desparate for a cure, and have no hope in western medicine. The different practices of Ayurveda also dramatically changed health care by developing treatments such as cleansing, diet, meditation, and spiritual healing. A widely popular practice that evolved that from Ayurveda is yoga. Yoga appeals to all people, and there are no requirements in engaging in the activity.
