The story “Masque of The Red Death” and “Annabel Lee” by Edgar Allan Poe are very high quality and Mischievous books. Throughout each page both stories had many connections regarding love, life, and many emotional outlooks about life. Annabel Lee and Masque of Red death both implied that there isn’t a boundary that can separate true love which was established from the dreadful events that happened in the texts. Edgar Allan Poe expressed a series of connections between the two texts which gave each text a large quantity of similarities which included Love, life, and casualty.
Edgar Allan Poe expresses love in a very vivid and creative style. Masque of The Red Death has a very unique way of representing love for example, on page 393 Prince Prospero states “When his dominions were half depopulated he summoned to his presence a thousand hale and lighthearted friends to his kingdom”. Prospero’s statement meant that the ones that shared similar qualities as him and the ones who were lighthearted can cherish with Prospero in his kingdom. Prince Prospero didn’t want his entire kingdom to suffer from the horrible wrath of the plague which killed millions therefore he made a fearless sacrifice by allowing numerous individuals into his kingdom …show more content…

For example in stanza 4 in Annabel Lee it states That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. Stanza 4 can emphasize that throughout the love for Annabel lee nothing is immortal. Masque of The Red Death shares a strong interpretation of casualties throughout the multiple events that occurred. On page 394 it states that it was a deadly disease known as the “plague” killing millions of civilians throughout the region. Prince Prospero had no other choice but to transport the other civilians into his kingdom away from the horrible plague which caused multiply
