Anne Frank and the Boy in the Striped Pajamas both showed courage and positivity in the face of conflict. For example, when Anne Frank was forced into hiding she maintained a very positive attitude. Also when Shmuel was being punished he still showed courage. So when there is conflict, the best response to it is to have a very positive attitude toward others. In the beginning, Anne Frank was a positive person all together even with her classmates who might not be the friendliest at times. Even after she was told that they would have to go to a hiding place. Also when they actually did go into hiding she STILL maintained a positive attitude towards it, she even made the place feel more like home by plastering pictures on the walls. Even though
To begin, Anne was a selfless, outgoing, and positive young girl that had to live in hiding. Anne was always positive during the time of the war,
Anne Frank is a Jewish girl who had to go into hiding because of the anti Jewish culture of Germany in July 1942. Anne's family and another family decide to go into hiding. They hide in the secret annex and survive for for two years. But they get caught and sent to concentration camps. Dispute the horrendous treatment Anne faced she still stayed optimistic, caring, and playful.
The Diary of a Young Girl: Anne Frank and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas The most immediate similarity of both stores is that they take place during the World War II and in German-occupied locations, for example The Boy in Striped Pajamas takes places in Poland in a house near the Auswitchz concentration camp (was a network of German Nazi concentration camps and extermination camps built and operated by the Third Reich in Polish areas annexed by Nazi Germany during World War II.) , mean while The Diary of a Young Girl takes place in Holland, inside a secret annex. Anne is a thirteen teenage girl and Bruno is a nine-year-old boy. Both of them view the world with authenticity and openness. They follow their own code of moral right and wrong and use this to examine the world around them.
Anne Frank is an important girl, she has a famous quote that states "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are good at heart." this quote has lots of background information behind it. This quote is very touching and can teach us all a great lesson. Three examples behind this quote might show that, Anne believes in people, also how she thinks positively, and lastly it shows that she tries to live a great life even when she is sad or down. Anne Frank says very strong words and speaks the truth when writing.
To kill A Mockingbird and The Diary of Anne Frank both address a young girls journey to maturity amidst a society prone to prejudice and racism. If someone was to compare the views, actions and environment that Anne Frank had grown admits, to that of Scout Finch, it would be very unlikely to find many differences. Growing up, Anne and felt isolated from society. Despite, the racism and prejudice environment they grew up in, both had hopes that the future would change for the better. Although, Anne and Scout were physically and emotionally similar, Anne matured while Scout didn’t through their journeys in the novel.
That is truly amazing. Anne makes everyone happier and just smile more. She can bring the best out of people and, in situations. Anne is just being a teenager and trying to have fun. I truly hope I can be like Anne someday. This girl went through torture and pain and still kept a smile on her face. Meanwhile if teenage doesn't acquire an iPhone they have a fit. We all need to take lessons and look at what's really important in life. Anne knew that family is more important than anything. She would do anything for them, it played a major role in making sure everyone wanted to continue on the journey they were all fighting for. If Anne was not a part of this hiding, who knows what would have happened. I'm so glad I was able to be taught a lesson from such an aspiring young woman, who had a horrible fate. We can not even comprehend the full story on what went on in the attic. There could've been much more terrible situations that happened in hiding that we will never know about. Nobody can judge anything that happened in hiding, because they will never truly know how it felt to be cooped up for two years. We should all give the Frank family our most respect. Especially to have a little girl who believed in people so
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.” – Winston Churchill. The two selections, Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and Hitler Youth: Growing Up in Hitler’s Shadow, are both great examples of people who are going through conflict but still display courage. The best way people can respond to conflict is by having courage and confidence.
Remember that she is only a young teenager, and that she’s likely not aware of all the danger she’s truly in. Because of this, there is a huge impact on how she thinks of others. It’s a lot easier for her to believe that people are all good at heart this way. In her diary, Anne once said “I don’t think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains,” this quote shows how Anne recognizes all the hate and sadness in the world, but she always tries to look past it and see the beauty that is still there. This also shows Anne’s viewpoint on people, and how, unlike her, most people first see the flaws of other people, but she always tried to look past the poor parts and see the best in people. Also this is seen in the play, such as we saw how she is caring for her sister and father. That is the last piece of evidence I have that shows that Anne was a positive
Growing up during the Holocaust was a rough time especially for Anne. Growing up in a small cramped annex with strict rules and a family she hardly knew was not an easy transition from her living in her own home with some to no rules. To go into hiding Anne had to give up all of her friends and leave the school she was attending. It was like her and her family just disappeared. While staying in the annex for two years Anne has shown many characteristics of a survivor such as being friendly, becoming composed and having an optimistic attitude.
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who went into hiding during the Holocaust because the Jews were being sent to concentration camps. When Anne went into hiding she took her diary with her and in it she recorded her story. One line in her diary that stood out was the quote, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” On this issue I agree with Anne. That despite whatever evils a person may have committed, they are good at heart.
Anne Frank is a kind, positive, and caring person. She has stated that "In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart." She is kind to everyone after they are rude to her and call her many names. She takes most of the positives out of a negative situation. Also, she's just a caring person in general to everyone she meets. Anne Frank has risked so many things going into hiding in the secret annex but she always found the best in it. She's a hero and a role model to many people.
During the Holocaust, six million Jews were persecuted, and even more were oppressed by the Nazis. Throughout all of this suffering, Anne Frank still stood by her ideals she talked about and saw, such as hope, selflessness, and family. Anne had hope that she would soon return to a classroom someday, after the war is over. She also talked about selflessness, because of the people who risked their lives to keep her safe. Family also affected her because she had many people around her who acted like family, even if they were not consanguine. Throughout all these years, Anne still believed in these standards, even the toughest of times.
As for Anne Frank, a young girl recognized everyday for her hopeful view on life as well as the Holocaust itself, profoundly conveyed heroism. In the play, The Dairy of Anne Frank, Anne continued to reveal her spunky, but buoyant attitude through several different occurrences. Anne allowed a positive vibe while hiding away specifically when surprising everyone with gifts on Hanukkah. When Mrs. Frank tells Margot that having everyone there and alive is present enough Anne states, “No it isn’t. I’ve got something . . .” “…Presents!”(Act II, Scene 5, Lines 2430-2441). This shows that even through these gory events, she still has a way to find the good. Anne’s positive and heartfelt attitude also shows when she had said, “…I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are really good at heart” (Act II, Scene 4, Lines 1758-1760). Anne leaves such an amazing outlook on the world that many people cannot do. Some may believe Anne’s rambunctious and obstinate attitude while hiding away really takes away from her being a heroic figure, but being at such a young age and seeing only the good in humanity definitely deserves an applause. Although Anne’s adolescence is seen quite a bit, there is also an insane amount of maturity within her as well.
Even though Anne lived in confinement and in such circumstances she didn’t give up on herself and was still optimistic. This shows that Anne Frank is a strong person, at an early age she was able to not lose hope and still believed that people are really good at heart. She continued to grow as a person and still had positivity in
Anne Frank teaches the importance of enthusiasm while she was in hiding. Anne and her family were described in Time’s article called, Anne Frank, which describes the time they were forced hide. “Otto and Edith Frank, their two daughters Margot and Anne and the Van Pels family decided to disappear themselves… But Anne had an instrument of freedom in an autograph book she had received for her 13th birthday” (Rosenbllat, Roger). The two families decided to hide after the Holocaust had gotten to them. A diary was given to Anne to help her get through the Holocaust to describe her opinions in private. An entry was found from Anne’s diary in an article describing how Anne felt about the war. “What I'm experiencing here is a good beginning to an interesting life, and that's the reason--the only reason--why I have to laugh at the humorous side of the most dangerous moments . . . I'm young and strong and living through a big adventure” (qtd. in Frank). Anne knew that becoming pessimistic while in hiding would make matters worse for her and her family. The enthusiasm she had allowed her to laugh through troublesome times in her life. Anne’s love for life did not dim after she was captured, "… but until a few months before her
