All cities are unique in their own way, for example – moving to Dubai made me realizes how different Cairo is. They both have different cultures and tradition as well as environmental manners. While two countries spark an ambition of life and memory, both of them tend to leave a significant impact on me. I’ve been a resident in Egypt for nearly 10 years then I moved to UAE and have been an expat for 8 years. Furthermore, if you ask me how Egypt differs from Dubai, I can easily tell you the differences and which one country prefer. They both differ with technology, security, and culture.
Technology differs from one place to another. In Dubai, technology has advanced in many ways all across the globe. Most of all, we benefit from the various methods of teaching and learning, ranging from chalkboards to e-projectors

While Dubai and Cairo continue to differ greatly, the two countries are nevertheless decades apart from each other. Cairo has been carving its mark in the Middle East for as much as 200 years, leaving its trademarks of humorous and colorful cultural activities. Dubai on the other hand, keeps its cultural activism shared with its citizens; this is a result from its never-ending amount of diversity and cultural competence. The word that can best describe the relation between these two is cultural diffusion, which defines itself as the scattering of one’s cultural beliefs to the standing grounds of the country’s own set points. Dubai is filled with nationalities that continue to share Dubai’s culture and tradition together that shows how Dubai is dedicated to celebrate its traditions and spread these celebrations along with the citizens even the expats who live in Dubai. On the other hand, Cairo manages to rely on its own activism and historical virtues, revoking entanglements with
Ancient Rome vs. Ancient Egypt – Political Rome In the beginnings of the Roman civilization, kings ruled them. Ancient Rome created a government so that they rule themselves, amongst the people. The new government ideal was a form of a democracy. Rome was governed a lot like America is today.
Egyptian culture has many contrasts and contradictions between the old and the new. The two cultures are much different from each other. But in its entirety, the culture of Egypt has successfully combined the best of both worlds. Keeping the appeal and magnificence of its ancient culture unharmed, modern Egypt has absorbed the contemporary ways of life. Egypt Culture is a balanced culture, both in its ancient times as well as its stylishness.
In Ancient Egypt and Ancient Middle East, the two empires had many similarities and differences which helped them survive and evolve to become something better. Ancient Middle East was located between the Euphrates and Tigris river, hence, the name Mesopotamia, which means “between the rivers”. In the Ancient Middle East, similar to the Egyptians, they were conquered leading their empire to spread into Asia Minor but stopping near Thebes. Ancient Egypt, however, was located along the Nile river which was the main source of water income. Egypt eventually spread along Canaan stopping near Asia minor due to new rulers coming into play and a larger desire for power. Even though Ancient Middle East and Ancient Egypt share the polytheistic belief and relied on rivers; the differences between Ancient Middle East and Ancient Egypt are social standings and the rights of a woman.
Modern day wouldn’t be what it was if early civilizations didn’t rise from nomadic life. Over periods of time, civilizations had evolved into what we know as modern day civilizations, but it couldn’t be possible without these two early civilizations. Between the years 3200-500 B.C two regions Middle East and Egypt had thriving societies. Ancient Middle East consisted of the civilizations of Sumer and Mesopotamia while Ancient Egypt consisted of the civilization of Egypt.Regions like these had developed the technology that has evolved into what people use in modern day. These regions relied on multiple items that allowed it to inhabit civilizations for so long. These two areas were different from one another, but they had many similarities. For example, even though Ancient Middle East and Ancient Egypt share their reliability on rivers and social structure, they differ because of their cultural arts and their views on the afterlife.
The ancient civilizations that inhabited Mesopotamia mark some of the first times where humans formed complex societies. Mesopotamia was located in the Fertile Crescent in modern day Iraq, surrounded on both sides by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers which were its source of life. Both rivers flooded irregularly, and the black silt deposited by the flooding made the land extremely suitable for farming. Aside from the two rivers, Mesopotamia did not have any other natural barriers like mountains or deserts to protect itself from invaders. Ancient Egypt, another civilization that flourished about the same time, was centered around the Nile River Valley and Delta. The area next to the river was lush and well-watered due to predictable flooding. Most of the people during this era lived close to the river and centered their life around it. The other parts of Egypt were the Sinai Peninsula, which connected to the Arabian Peninsula; the Western Desert, which was part of the greater Libyan Desert; and the Eastern Desert, which was part of the Arabian Desert. These deserts made the Nile region less accessible to other civilizations than Mesopotamia. The similarities and differences in the geographical nature of Mesopotamia and Egypt influenced the political, economic and religious aspects of the ancient civilizations that flourished there.
During the period from 2700 B.C.E to 1000 B.C.E., the civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt shared many similarities. Both have kingships, farming and agriculture, technology and metallurgy, grain storage, and a system of hierarchy that included slavery. Although they are quite similar, they show differences as well, including their perspective of the afterlife and the fact that Mesopotamia experienced conquests while documents showed Egypt as a conqueror.
For example, the city of West Jordan and Pompeii are both the same in ways. They both have buildings, shops and homes. Such as they both have mountains on both sides. Also they both have a good government. In the article Pompeii they both have a lot of people.
In Mesopotamian society, multiple different villages and kingdoms interacted with each other. Mostly through conquering and trade. For example the Assyrians were known to conquer basically every kingdom or civilization the came across. When people of different civilizations meet they tend to exchange new technologies for agriculture and religious beliefs. The Egyptians were more secluded. They tended to interact with other civilizations along the Nile, especially the people of Nubia. The Egyptians and the Nubia used the Nile to trade various goods with each other, and through this interaction they influenced each other’s governmental outlooks. Though the two groups did have a bit of tension between them. These two groups interact with each
Homo Sapiens, Humans first originated in 200 thousand B.C. from Africa. There were no physical records such as carving, drawing, or messages of some sort at this time in history. A couple thousand years later, humans began to evolve and travel all over the world. They began to invent new technology, create government systems, trading, and they kept writing records. There were different cultural characteristics such as, Sumer, Egypt, India, and China. Mostly focusing on Egypt and Sumer, had many similarities. For example they have similar governments, geography, and technology. Although these two groups lived very similar lives, they had many key characteristics that make them important throughout history.
We all wonder at some point in time how the first civilization of humans led to the world we have today. Studying this progression, we come upon many fascinating places, things, and peoples of different traditions. The most prominent development, in my opinion, would be the development of civilizations (Yes back before internet!). The first of these civilizations would be the Mesopotamians and the Egyptians. Although both Egypt and Mesopotamia developed at the same time, environment and natural forces had profound impact in terms of political systems, religion, and social stability. In this paper I will discuss the many similarities but many differences as well in these early civilizations.
Ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt are recognized as some of world's biggest innovators, from inventing the wheel to construction of magnificent pyramids, Mesopotamia and Egypt are credited with having some of the richest cultures in the world. The environmental factors of both ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt heavily impacted the product of these creations, along with the growth of their civilizations. While Ancient Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt were both developing civilizations they are also vastly different. Both Mesopotamia and Egypt relied on their environmental factors for agriculture/irrigation and trading. However, they developed very different views on their warfare methods.
It is crucial that students are not just being educated in only one way. Each child is different; as a result, learning styles should be versatile and open to new strategies. By learning to use technology correctly, teachers are preparing themselves, and the students for the future by developing certain skills that will be essential in the 21st century. The advancement in technology is becoming a great benefit in the classroom. More students are learning to use their creative side, which is encouraging individual learning and growth. Through technology, students find it is easier for them to work together with others. The group members can join together over the internet and they don’t have to be in the same room. As there continues to be new improvements in the various types of technology, it is helping the student prepare for the real world.
Today’s education differs much from the education fifty years ago. One of the reasons they are so different is because of technology. In the past fifty years the world of technology has grown tremendously, affecting everything, including education. A few things that have been brought into the world of education are computers, video and digital equipment such as DVDs, digital cameras and recording devices. The technology also includes information presentation technologies which includes the Smart Board, and different interactive whiteboards. There are many more that schools did not have fifty years ago.
For Christmas and my sixteenth birthday present my parents planned a trip for me to go to New York City with my dad. Two days after Christmas me and my dad hopped on the plane and headed for New Jersey and New York City. I was very excited because I had been to New Jersey but I never visited New York City before. I also remember being excited because of that fact that I would actually get to see snow in the winter since it rarely ever snowed in Houston during the winter. Then that next year during my junior year in High School, I had the opportunity to go on a trip to Los Angeles with my drill team. I was very excited to get to go to both of these huge awesome cities in that two year period. Both of these cities were unique in their own way. So what makes a city similar to another city and what makes a city different to another city? The people, the weather, the vibe, the monuments and popular attractions are all some of the components of what makes a city unlike any other city. My two favorite cities besides Houston are New York and Los Angeles. I have visited both and like them both equally for different reasons. While New York and Los Angeles definitely have their similarities, they also have many differences that set them apart from each other.
