Brandon HaleI am going to compare Julius Caesar and Abraham Lincoln and their previous achievements and the ending of their lives. Though they were born and lived many years apart they still had many comparisons and were a lot alike in many ways. They both were leaders and they both were assassinated doing and fighting for what they truly believed in. I admire and respect both of these men even though I didn’t live in my lifetime. Caesar ended the five year republic. He was assassinated and stabbed 23 times and died in 44 B.C.Abraham Lincoln was also a statesman. Abe was born Feb. 12, 1809 and died on April 15 or 1865. He was the 16th President of the United States. He was also assassinated in 1895. Lincoln was the leader of the U.S. through the Civil War. He wasalso a general and went through many wars but was famous for abolishing slavery and made the federal government stronger. Abraham Lincoln came from a military background that helped him with his political background. He has started small but ended big. He was the president of the United States from 1861 through 1865. He has made many difficult decisions throughout his presidency and will go down in history as the really tall 16th president, but also as the one who put the Emancipation Proclamation into action.
They both over ruled their countries, but also helped their people live in a safe world. In the end, they were both assassinated as well. As of today, people still look up to both of these men in ways you could not believe. The American people whose passed relatives were slaves look up to Lincoln, because he was the one who issues the Emancipation Proclamation to free the slaves who reside in the rebellious states during the Civil War. The Modern day Europeans whose passed relatives were begging for Caesar’s protection amongst their little town of Gaul look up to Caesar, because in their eyes he was a hero to them by protecting them from German invaders.
Lincoln was born on a farm to a very poor family and had very little schooling. However, he rose from very humble beginnings to become the 16th president of the United States shortly before the beginning of the Civil War. His fame comes mostly from leading the country through the Civil War and changing the thinking of the American people at that time. He is a self-taught lawyer, who was also a shrewd military strategist and savvy leader. Lincoln is known and recognized for the Emancipation Proclamation. It helped pave the way for the abolition of slavery.

Both Abraham Lincoln and Julius Caesar ruled a Country. Both of their rules was cut short by their assassination. Julius Caesar ruled Rome for a year before his assassination. Abraham Lincoln had just started his second term before he was killed.
When humanity thinks of Julius Caesar most of them do not compare him with another great leader, Abraham Lincoln. Or when people think of Abraham Lincoln, they don’t often compare him to Julius Caesar. These two men may be the unlikeliest people to be compared together, but the thing is they have many significant similarities to each other. They may have been born in two different time periods, but the effects of their lives are still affecting individuals and countries today. Some of their similarities include both had a great impact on their country, both of them change the world, and people still look up to them to this day.

Abraham Lincoln is known as the sixteenth president of the United States. A self-taught lawyer by trade who was born in a one room cabin in Kentucky, he came from meek beginnings. Mr. Lincoln was only known to have a few years of formal schooling he had to work to help support his family. He moved to the capital of Illinois and practiced as a lawyer. This is where he earned his nick name of Honest Abe. He was known to help the common man. He met and married a woman named Mary Todd. They had four sons. One of which passed away with Typhoid fever. He was shot by John Wilkes Booth in Ford’s theater on April 14, 1865 and died the very from a gunshot to the head. He never lived to see the Union win the war with the plans he helped devise. He next day is known in history for his moving speeches. Two of the main speeches are the Gettysburg Address and the Emancipation Proclamation. Both of these are remembered today as turning points in history. Honest Abe was not only our president but a leader in that he felt like he needed to protect our constitution and the rights it afforded us but also protect the Union. He was a level headed man in a time of war and conflict. He was elected to office when the Union was in a state of unrest due to the issue of slavery. Several states succeeded when he was elected to office. This set up a series of events that lead to the beginning of the civil war. The steps that he took forever changed the history of the United States.
Abraham Lincoln was a self-educated lawyer who did not support slavery. He surprised many people when he became the 16th President mainly because he beat out several promising contenders. During the Civil War Lincoln became quite brilliant with military strategy and an excellent wartime leader. With the Union on the brink of victory Lincoln became a martyr when he was shot and killed by a Confederate sympathizer by the name of John Wilkes Booth. Over time Lincoln became known as one of the greatest Presidents of all time.
