Somethings that are similar to each of the poems are the names of the characters. In Shakespeare's version the names are "Romeo and Juliet" and in Brooke's poem the names are "Romeus and Juliet". The way the poems are written are different, Shakespeare's has a lot of of poetry. Something else that is different are the ways the poems start. In Shakespeare's poem it starts off with Romeo talking about Juliet, in Brooke's poem it starts off with a person named Verona and a person named Brooke. It also says that Romeus falls in love with someone and suffers, The name of the person is never mentioned. In Shakespeare's poem it says that Romeo is in love with Juliet he's also talking about how beautiful she is. In Brooke's poem Juliet tells Romeus
For many years people have been having confrontations and conflicts regarding love and most people at some point in their lives have liked someone who is liked by someone else. Even though hate and love are actually antonyms, they are two words that are closely related to one another. It is possible to love someone today and hate them tomorrow; hate is such a deep feeling that can develop when someone tries to take what is yours. It is interesting to realize how far a person will go for love. Someone who would never harm or hurt anyone can actually turn into a really aggressive person, even kill somebody, in order to protect or keep the person they love. This is why love and hate so easily go hand in hand.
William Shakespeare a man born in a town called Stratford-upon-Avon, was sent to college to learn about the arts but instead pursued his goal to be a playwright. One of his most popular plays is “Romeo and Juliet”, a play about two lovers who lie about their love and because of it suffer a devastating tragedy. “Othello” is a play about a Moor named Othello who is deeply in love, but because of lies, he suffers many tragedies. Both of these stories have similarities, but there are also some differences.
Imagine loving someone so much that you would die for them. Two teenagers meet at vulnerable points of their lives and are then forcibly separated. Their warring families are the source of their violence. In William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, love leads to death as shown by Mercutio,Tybalt, and Romeo & Juliet.
Romeo and Juliet had a power of love like no other. Juliet instead met Romeo rather than Paris. Paris was the choice her father picked for her. Paris was just a rich guy trying to get a young girl who never slept with anyone. This love story was like no other. It then all started by Romeo looking into Juliet’s eyes.
Is love or hate stronger? Although there is a lot of hate between the two families love will always prevail when paired against each other. The two families have always hated each other but with the secret marriage of Romeo and Juliet they are forced to love each other even though it is hard too. Love will always prevail as when Tybalt and Mercutio are sword fighting Romeo say’s “ Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee Doth much excuse the apparent rage”(III, I, 58-59).
Everyone experiences love some point in their lives.Love is experienced in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, simply due to Romeo and Juliet falling in love. However, if it would not have been for Benvolio, Romeo's cousin, telling Romeo to go to the Capulet's party and to look at other women they would not have met and fell in love.
The theme is that there will always be forbidden love but love is strong. That some people will have forbidden love. Some people can’t be with the other person because of a reason. Many have to hide their love from people. Romeo and Juliet couldn’t be with each other.
Is there a difference between young love in Romeo and Juliet’s time and young love in our time.Romeo and Juliet written by william shakespeare in 1597.This play is about two teenagers that fall in love at first site but fined out that there families are enemies. They still want to be together so they get married but Romeo gets banished for fighting. Juliet drinks a drug that makes her appear that she is dead for two days so she can be with Romeo but Romeo gets there he thinks she is dead so kills himself and Juliet wakes up and kills herself because Romeo is dead.Communication, Attraction/sex and marriage during Romeo and Juliet's time was a lot different than the current time.
Do you ever have that feeling of connection with a character? Almost like you could take that characters place and nobody would know the difference? It takes a great deal of talent to develop such characters, but I think Shakespeare did a great job in that department. Like in Romeo and Juliet, all of the characters feel so real and developed, that it would be hard not to find at least a couple connections with most of them. In my case, I can’t help but notice some remarkable similarities between Juliet and me. In many ways Juliet and I are similar, but we also have numerous differences.
There are many themes in Romeo and Juliet. Three of those themes are tragedy, fate, and love. Fate leads to love, and love leads to tragedy. Romeo and Juliet are star cross’d lovers whose love leads to their eventual deaths.
I'm choosing to compare Romeo and Juliet themselves, from the poem “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. This dramatic poem, dives deep into the sorrows and tragedy that can be caused by love. The poem goes back years ago, and concentrates on two families, the Montagues and the Capulets. These to family's have an intense hatred for each other, which is seeded deep within their family trees. However, despite the bad blood between the two families, Romeo and Juliet still manage to fall in love. At first glance the two young characters may come across as quite similar, although, if a deeper look is taken, they do have quite a few differences. Romeo is young, and therefore is driven by a wild teen spirit, and hormones; Juliet is quite similar
ur society, today, doesn't focus on promoting art as it used to be back in 1881 when art was a big thing in France (“Little Dancer Age Fourteen”).
For many years Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet has been known around the world. The Capulets and Montagues had a famous feud in Verona. This story has been around for so long that people worldwide have made many different versions of this movie. There are many choices to create an effect. Two directors of the film Romeo and Juliet made their own way through particular choices.
The narrative voices in the song and Act 1, scene 5 show how male characters are expressing their enthusiastic responses to the female characters. “Michelle” song performed at the White House by Sir Paul McCartney. The song is about a Male who has fallen in love with a women who can’t speak english and he repeatedly tells her that “I love you”. Lines 44-53 are an excerpt of Romeo and Juliet a play by William Shakespeare. Lines 44-53 of Romeo and Juliet is about Romeo sees Juliet across the room for the first time and he falls in love with her on first sight. Considering what both of the sources state about how makes express their emotions we are to believe that when a man feels a strong sense of attraction to someone he is inspired to respond
The account of Romeo and Juliet has been depicted in various ways but, it is a romantic performance. At its core, there are parts that show it as a tragedy but, the majority of the play revolves around the love of the two teenagers. These two so called enemies, would rather never see their feuding families again than have to bare with not being together. After a few unfortunate series of events, including a past corral, the pair’s destiny has been sealed, but not before putting themselves through turmoil to be together.
