Romeo and Juliet´s death were caused by flaw because they snuck around without telling their parents knowing, they went through with the friars bad plans instead of telling their families, and they turned to suicide at the first sign of trouble. The first main flaw that romeo and juliet did that lead to their deaths is that they were keeping information from their parents. Romeo snuck into the party of his rival, fell in love with juliet, and snuck into their orchard to speak to Juliet. Their parents didn’t know that they even met and they got married, after knowing each other for less than a day. Juliet lied to her parents about going to the friars to confess so she could get married. Romeo snuck into her bedroom for their wedding night without her parents knowing. Some may say it is because their parents feud would have stopped them from doing it, but, her parents do care about her, as proven by Lord Capulet when he tells paris,¨My child is yet a stranger in the world/ She hath …show more content…
After Romeo killed Tybalt and was banished, he decided to follow the friar's plan of going to Mantua until they got permission for him to come back. That is in theory, if he survived long enough on the streets of Mantua without any skills of his own to make a living. Juliet decided to follow his plan for her to drug herself and for Romeo to get her in forty two hours. Some may say that she had to do it so her parents would not come looking for her when she came back, but in reality, her dad would have thrown her out for not marrying Paris, so she could have just ran away and come back later with romeo and explain what happened. This depended on the letter getting there on time in the undependable mail service, as proven by Friar John when he says, ¨I could not send it/ here it is again¨ The friar then tells Juliet to become a nun instead of going to her parents and telling them that she is
First of all the potion could have accidentally been the wrong thing and she could have been poisoned and killed right there. Second the Friar had Juliet drink the potion before Romeo knew about the plan. The Friar is a man of God and he had Juliet break the law and fake her own death. The Friar’s last fault in the story was that he did not wait for the letter to get to Romeo before telling Juliet to drink the potion.
When Friar Lawrence conspired with Juliet to fake her own death, he made sure to send the unthinking Romeo a letter. At the request of Friar Lawrence, the letter was to be delivered on horseback by Friar John. When Friar John was impeded by a temporary quarantine, he determined that rather than just gooing and giving Romeo the letter, he would just stay in Verona and later tell his colleague that he was unable to deliver the letter. Meanwhile, Romeo rode to Capulet’s crypt, where he took the situation completely the wrong way. The Friar’s negligence is part of the reason reason Romeo felt the need to come back to Verona at all.
The reason I only say Juliet’s parents is because they try putting her into an arranged marriage when she was already married to Romeo. From the play it states that Lady Capulet says “Marry my child, early next Thursday morn” (Shakespeare 869). This is when she comes into Juliet’s room after Romeo has left and told her this. Then after her mother tells her this she start getting mad and starts throwing a tamp tum. Because she is already secretly married to Romeo.
Romeo and Juliet secretly marry, going behind their families’ backs, which leads to their deaths. After Romeo goes to find Juliet after the party, he goes to see Friar Lawrence demanding they get married. Juliet then lies to her parents and says she is going to confession, when
Parental Betrayal It may seem like your parents will protect you from anything and everything, but sometimes they can end up leading to your misfortune. In Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, two kids from rivalring families fall in love in their hometown of Verona. While their love for one another is forbidden, they will do anything to be together. With the help of a friar and Nurse, they get married, but unfortunately, after killing Juliet’s cousin, Tybalt, Romeo is banished to the city of Mantua.
Some people say that the word hate is a strong word, but I believe that the word love is an even stronger one. Love can consume you to the point where you can’t think straight, it influences your decisions, it controls you. Romeo and Juliet weren’t the only examples of a love story gone wrong. Cyrano de Bergerac was also put through the miserableness of being in love.
Romeo and juliet Is hate stronger that love. This is Romeo and Juliet a love story by William Shakespeare In romeo and juliet hate is shown to be stronger than love because hate makes you do crazy things honestly … like hurt someone . hate gets in your mind and you cant control yourself and things happen , but in the end you have to deal with the consequences . There are some people who might argue that love is actually stronger than hate . Their main piece of evidence would be in act 1 scence 5 when they fall in love at the Montigues ball where Romeo had first seen Juliet .
If a person goes through different personas are they still the same person? In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Juliet goes through different personas. In the beginning, there are families at war. The children of the families names are Juliet, who is a Capulet and Romeo, who is a Montague. They fall in love and get married.
How to Murder Without a Second Thought How often do people look at a situation where they must make a decision, and they overestimate the threat at hand? Although people generally realize the opportunities presented to them, when people are presented with an issue or something that is threatening one of their opportunities, they panic. There exists an urge in society to overreact to everyday problems, and cause otherwise needless drama over the situation in order to increase social standing. There also exists unnecessary stress, worry, and an arms race to see whose life is more difficult that comes with this unnecessary drama. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare shows another drawback to this everyday action.
The text does capture the essence of Romeo and Juliet because they are both tragic love stories. In both text the two meet and there is love at first sight. In Hero And Leander, Leander grabs hero hand and takes her to the temple, which is similar to when Romeo kisses Juliet hand at the party. The similarities are presented when “To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss”(Shakespeare 1.5.107) this is when Romeo goes up and kisses Juliet hand. Furthermore, in Hero and Leander the similarity is demonstrated when “As Hero and Leander, take each other's hands before they have uttered a word” (2) this shows how Leander just took her hand with even a word spoken.
One of the most well known stories of all time is Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It tells the story of the forbidden love between two people from rival families. The poems explore many parts of the human heart. The world reveres it as the greatest love story of all time. However, there is a difference between earthly love and God’s love, and Romeo and Juliet’s love was earthly.
Romeo and Juliet and Titanic were both tragedy’s that involved two people that fall in love, and are only in love for a few days before they both die. In Titanic, Jack dies from freezing before Rose goes on and dies years later. While in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet drinks some potion to put her to sleep, and while Romeo discovers her body, he kills himself moments before Juliet wakes up, to find that Romeo has killed himself, then after she kills herself. In Romeo and Juliet, Capulet wants Juliet to marry Paris, the Friar marries Romeo and Juliet in an attempt to end their families’ feud, in Titanic, Rose’s mother and her fiancé encourage her to get married in order to cancel her family’s debts - Romeo and Juliet’s love is an end in itself, but
Somethings that are similar to each of the poems are the names of the characters. In Shakespeare's version the names are "Romeo and Juliet" and in Brooke's poem the names are "Romeus and Juliet". The way the poems are written are different, Shakespeare's has a lot of of poetry. Something else that is different are the ways the poems start. In Shakespeare's poem it starts off with Romeo talking about Juliet, in Brooke's poem it starts off with a person named Verona and a person named Brooke. It also says that Romeus falls in love with someone and suffers, The name of the person is never mentioned. In Shakespeare's poem it says that Romeo is in love with Juliet he's also talking about how beautiful she is. In Brooke's poem Juliet tells Romeus
Shakespeare is widely known for his style of writing. However, this also contributes to the actual story he is telling. One of his most famous pieces, Romeo and Juliet is more understandable, at least in concept that is shown through simply reading. It is the story of how 2 young teenagers meet, and as teenagers do, rebel against their parents and society to love each other, and kept this oath to their final breath. Juliet's “evolution” can be broken down into 4 stages, the first being a section where she is innocent and obeys her mother’s command.
When Romeo goes to the Friar asking him to wed him and Juliet, he goes along with it instead of saying no until they grew to knew each other better. Juliet also goes to the Friar, but this is when she is about to be wed to Paris. Instead of simply telling her to tell her parents about her relationship with Romeo, or tell her to run away, he gives her a potion in order to fake her own death. Just as Juliet is waking from her 48-hour slumber, the Friar is with her and hears a mysterious noise. He then decides to leave her in this vulnerable position.
