True Love Doesn’t Die, Unfortunately People Do
“True love stories never have endings” (Richard Bach). Throughout history, the classic play The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, has been recreated many times. The play will most likely be recreated a million more. True love stories don’t ever die, unlike Romeo and Juliet themselves. However, this “tragic” ending isn’t entirely their fault. In The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, several other characters influenced Romeo and Juliet’s deaths, including Mercutio and Friar John, Friar Lawrence, and Lord Capulet.
Particularly, Mercutio and Friar John were involved largely with the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Mercutio

Friar Lawrence had the idea that if he married Romeo and Juliet, he would bring peace between the Montagues and the Capulets. However, the marriage is kept a secret, and Lord Capulet still wants Juliet to marry Paris. Juliet believes that she has no other way to be with Romeo than to fake her death. “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, and this distilled liquor thou off, when presently through all veins shall run a cold and drowsy humour for no pulse shall keep his native progress but surcease: No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest; The roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade, to paly ashes, thy eyes’ windows fall, like death, when he shuts up the day of life” (4.1.96-104). In order for Juliet to fake her death and be with Romeo, she needed help from Friar Lawrence. He gives her a potion that makes her seem dead for forty-two hours. The issue here is that Romeo wasn’t ever notified of this plan and the message wasn’t delivered to him. Romeo thought that Juliet was actually dead, and as a result, he decides to kill himself. When Juliet wakes up and realizes Romeo is dead, she kills herself successfully. If Friar Lawrence hadn’t married Romeo and Juliet, and had delivered Romeo the message himself, the suicides could have been avoided. As a result, Friar Lawrence has a partial blame in the deaths of Romeo and

Not too many people know about it. Mercutio being a good friend, goes in the duel for Romeo. Now, Mercutio and Tybalt are dueling. Unfortunately Tybalt stabbed Mercutio under the arm of Romeo. Romeo was trying to get them out of fighting, no good. Mercutio is dying, as he’s falling he yells “A plague o’ both your houses!”. He sets a curse on both families. Oh God, why must this wretched vision be so? You lay with the earth and your blood is stone, yet your passing feels so unreal as if mere touch could stir you. I’d wager there still remains a stain of passion upon your rosy cheek. But you slumber on and shall not wake, not even for me, your loyal servant, though you will never be my king now. Why must you leave me? How can my fading spirit stand hopeless against fate all on its lonesome? How, when foul hopelessness is all that is left to comfort me in this dark time and all happiness I once had flees so hastily from me, departing with you, the one that shall be mourned with all the sorrow an eternity can hold. You must awaken now, my lord! Your royal duty is yet to be fulfilled and excuse is the friend of folly! You must be crowned king. I must leave to serve you as a king, as I have wished so before. Sleep on though, dream on my prince and good tidings to you, for what is heaven if not a pleasant everlasting dream, so I hope.
The famous and critically acclaimed Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, follows the vicious feud between two powerful families of fair Verona. These arch rivals (the Montagues and the Capulets) have children who fall madly in love. In the song“You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by the Rolling Stones, a similar theme to Romeo and Juliet is presented: life does not always go the way people plan, but one can always get what one needs out of life, and it will turn out just fine.
Romantic: Even though juliet has an heir a practical person. She falls deeply in love with Romeo. At first sight.
In modern day love is shown in different ways and has different outcomes like in romeo and juliet when their love led to them eventually killing themselves because their families differences were separating their love. The two families had love for their relative and did not want them to associate with the a foe. an example that shows familial love is When Benvolio asks Lord Montague about why romeo is so depressed and he meets romeo privately and asks about what's bringing him down in which he says “What sadness lengthens Romeo's hours?”( I,I,163) This act by Benvolio is expressed by most families today like a brother helping his brother when he gets in fight This situation is very similar to the scene in Romeo and Juliet where after tybalt
Romeo and Juliet are portrayed as two star-crossed lovers who fall victims to the society in which they live. Romeo and Juliet takes place during the Renaissance in Verona, Italy. Verona is depicted as a violent and feuding city, with two noble families battling in an ongoing war. Romeo is the son of Lord and Lady Montague, while Juliet is the daughter of the Capulet’s.

Was it destiny which forced the choices upon Juliet and her Romeo, and Pyramus and Thisbe, or was it what personal choice did to the two? I believe both of the star-crossed lover’s endings were because of destiny, they did not choose the way they grew up, and passed away. It was destiny for both relationships to parish and in the way they did.
In music and in literature, male characters often express their enthusiasm upon seeing an attractive female who draws their attention. One such illustration comes from the lyrics of the song “Michelle” as performed by Sir Paul McCartney in which the character speaks in French to the girl he admires. Presumably, Michelle does not speak English, which compels the young man to speak in the words she will understand better. Similarly, Romeo, in William Shakespeare’s play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, expresses tremendous enthusiasm upon seeing Juliet for the first time. His admiration brims over and it reveals how he believes Juliet is more beautiful and more luminous than all the other girls at Capulet’s party that evening. Considering what
Romeo and Juliet: the most famous love story of all time. It has been retold countless times in dozens of formats; everything from Shakespeare’s classic novel, to zombies, to two warring gangs in New York city. And the most famous scene of this love story is the scene on the balcony. This scene, starring Romeo and his newfound love, Juliet, shows the two lovers confessing their love to each other. It is considered to be one of the most romantic scenes ever written, and there are countless versions. Two infamous versions of it are Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet and Zeffirelli’s Romeo and Juliet. Though these two movies use the same text and plot lines, they portray this classic romance in very different ways. Three of the main differences
A heart-wrenching story of two lovers was displayed from three views, and although similar they are more diverse. Both movies chose to follow the original plot, but each did that in a different and unique way. Each had been made in a way related to the year of the release and the director. The main plot of Romeo and Juliet may not be followed to exact detail, but the movies do add characteristics that reading the play did not show.
The account of Romeo and Juliet has been depicted in various ways but, it is a romantic performance. At its core, there are parts that show it as a tragedy but, the majority of the play revolves around the love of the two teenagers. These two so called enemies, would rather never see their feuding families again than have to bare with not being together. After a few unfortunate series of events, including a past corral, the pair’s destiny has been sealed, but not before putting themselves through turmoil to be together.
