The first step to improving soccer in Sioux Falls is to better the level of competitive play. This can be done specifically through Dakota Alliance Soccer Club by fixing technical issues. Practice times, indoor facilities, and coaching are three technical fixes that need to be addressed in order to improve Dakota Alliance Soccer Club (DASC). If all three of these issues can see improvement, then DASC will also see improvements and more success. Practice Times
Finding practice times that work for both athletes and parents is very important. For example, when I was a member of DASC there were times during the winter that my team and I wouldn’t begin practice until 9:30 pm or 10:00 pm. This was an issue to many because people would miss practice due to school being the next morning. Because there was not full participation from the team at practice, we were never able to take that next step to become better. Practice times need to be improved in order for teams to get better. Bettering practice times can be implemented by having meetings with the members of the team and parents and then determining what times work for everyone.
Indoor Facilities

Teams that practice together more are significantly better. DASC competes with clubs from all around the country who have access to practicing outside year round because of warm weather. In order for DASC to succeed against these soccer clubs, teams must have access to indoor facilities that offer game like fields. Larry Sunderland, director of coaching for the Chicago Fire Juniors and manager of Youth Development for the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer team states “indoor soccer offers players the opportunity to stay in competition form by playing-year round” (CITE). Two local indoor facilities that offer full size fields in Sioux Falls
In the cities of Wichita Falls and Vernon, the thought of economic growth and the reduction of poverty does not usually cross the minds of most citizens, but as the economic advisor of both cities, it is the main concern of my career. There are many factors that contribute towards these issues, like tax cuts, infrastructure spending, deregulation, and tax rebates (DePersio), but one focused inducer is agriculture development.
Regular season games are held on Saturdays at 3 p.m. and the teams practice on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. (North East Youth Soccer Organization, 2016). The coaching staff is trained and certified by the Special Olympics which provide coaches with the basic principles, techniques, and tools to effectively coach athletes with special needs. The program allows the players to learn how to play the sport as well as how to work together as a team and hosts a party for athletes and family at the end of every season.
Ambition, determination and team working are just a few words that can describe the 2017 Metro Rage Soccer Club. Metro Rage soccer club is a group of students who love playing competitive soccer. The girls and boys soccer teams both had an impressive season with both teams winning most of their games. They had their highs and lows during the season but were able to get through them by working together as a team. Both guys and girl's team have created a great bond this season. They were able to work together on and off the field. Being a member of the soccer team isn't about who's the fastest or who's the strongest. It's about teamwork and communication as a
Seven Roswell sophomores were selected to be on the Varsity girls soccer squad this year. This is an impressive accomplishment, because the team is typically dominated by upper-classmen. These students are Bella Akin (left back), Elise Baron (midfield), Meghan Connelly (winger/striker/right or left midfielder), Sienna Kent (winger/striker/right or left midfielder), Hayden Hammerman (center back), Anne Lescher (right back), and Kristin Liquori (goalie). At tryouts, the coach saw great potential in these players, especially in their ability to communicate and work together.
The Crow Creek site is a multi-occupied Initial Coalescent variant site along the Crow and Wolf creeks of the Missouri River within the southcentral portion of modern day South Dakota. This site is considered to be a massive in size, approximately eighteen acres. Laid out in a triangle, the site is bordered by the Wolf Creek with a steep terrace drop off to the west; Crow Creek with a narrow and steep terrace to the flood plain. Connecting these sides, the northeastern portion of the site sees a 1500-foot-long bastioned fortification ditch. The Crow Creek phase predates the Wolf Creek Phase and dates to 1050 A.D., while the Wolf Creek Phase appears to begin in 1325 A.D. The 1978 research focused upon the
One, the first main point is how to properly lay aside your differences and learn how to accordingly utilize them in a team sport. Two, the second main point is implementing teamwork and having absolute confidence in each other; and by doing that you will unceasingly come out with a victory! I hope I peaked your interest and you consider reading The Boys in the Boat this year for your knowledge and enjoyment. I would thoroughly enjoy coming back and talking to you and your students in your Physical Education class about what they thought. Before I go, I want to leave this quote from George Pocock “ Harmony, balance, and rhythm. They're three things that stay with you, your whole life. Without them civilization is out of whack...and with them, you will be able to go out in life, fight it, and handle
Freezing in the morning, the grassy fields at the Uihlein soccer complex were let off a cracking every step. The excitement of playing in my first ever varsity lacrosse game kept me hyped up on the day of its arrival. Grinning widely, wearing sapphire blue, I strutted to the bench for our team, Brookfield Lacrosse. As the tournament was preparing to start, the sound of Eminem’s music played through the speakers and parents chattered in the stands before the first game between Arrowhead and my team. All that was running through my mind at the time was, “Don’t underperform. Make a statement to the coaches.”

There are many trends going on in Sioux County that show some key challenges but also many opportunities. Some of the challenges facing Sioux County at this time are the percentage of people who are not continuing their education after high school. Depending on the person there are many different trends on why this could be. For instance, those who are in poverty or there family are in poverty will be less likely to go to college, they do not want to put that financial stress on them selves or there family’s. Another challenge that Sioux County is facing but also overcoming is the percentage of population in Sioux County. When we compare the percentage of those in poverty in Sioux County to Iowa as a whole the county is on the lower spectrum.
A coach can make the practice days reasonable for students to focus on education. There is never an excuse of not getting something done because you had practice for a sport. David Sedaris got his education at forty-one and did not have excuses. Sherman Alexie taught himself to read at a young age and compared himself to superman. Most people will not agree with this essay; however, they will understand that the truth is being told. As a parent I want my son/daughter to focus on education and not
This type of new program offering and adding one-on-one training for his current customers would increase NOCO’s market penetration in the 10-13 year old group too. Using customer satisfaction surveys would be a great market research tool for Dyer to use to identify the types of new programs his customers are looking for. Diversification in NOCO’s target markets is another avenue for Dyer to explore to expand his business. Consumers in Colorado are very interested in soccer. Is there enough interest to warrant developing adult soccer teams? Is there a market for toddler soccer training? What about a childcare program for younger kids so parents can watch older kids compete in the tournaments? Dyer needs to hit the pavement in his community and in the neighboring communities to get first hand feedback from the demographics he is targeting. In order to increase awareness of his business in the towns adjacent to Fort Collins, Dyer could host recruiting events in Loveland, Longmont and Greeley. With the information he gathers at those events he could consider the viability of bussing new customers to Fort Collins or offering camps outside his home base. This type of market development could be instrumental in growing NOCO into the recognizable brand that Dyer wants it to be.
Scheduling within the Strength & Conditioning department is a process that is currently executed extremely poorly. There are many things that have to be scheduled within the strength and conditioning department of the athletic program. One of these things being specific sports teams and their assigned lifting times. The current process for this type of scheduling is to ask coaches what time they want and what the student-athletes schedules look like so that we can schedule the lifting time. All of the teams are given an hour time slot, which I do not disagree with. This is enough time to get all of the work that need to get done with that team completed. Right now, because we only have a couple strength coaches available during
A Soccer surge has captivated North America. The biggest benefiters of the trend are Seattle and Canada. Their unique relationship has impacted the World cup and MLS expansion. Both areas feature a community obsessed with the game. These thriving communities are the vital key to local stability.
Playing soccer on his current soccer team has been the most significant event in Dennis’ life. Five years ago, Dennis was a victim to his malicious allergies. Exposure to outdoor activities were difficult for him as he constantly had extreme reactions. At that time, we decided that Dennis would have to combat his allergies rather than temporarily subside them through medicine. Then, we found a soccer team. At first, Dennis seemed curious and ready to play, but the team he played for was unstable and new with a constant losing streak. With his allergies only getting worse, he faced the decision of quitting. However, friends and family prevented him from taking the easy way out.
Sports have become extremely important in public schools throughout America. Children are being pushed by parents, coaches, peers, and in some cases, teachers to excel in sports. Hours upon hours a week are spent practicing for some form of competition. Years ago, all this time was spent with family, at church, or a combination of both. For example, how many times in the past few decades has a student said, ?Sorry coach, I can?t go to a game or practice because I have church?. Schools used to not schedule events on Sundays or Wednesdays
