ii. American University said that child slave trade is a $7 billion dollar a year industry, made mostly from deplorable living conditions under which they keep the children, more money going to make-up, condoms and clothing than to keep children healthy and alive.

A) Love146 has a three-fold process for dealing with children sold into slavery.
i. First, according to their website, they rehabilitate these girls and boys who worked as slaves, most often as prostitutes. They build safe homes for the children in which they can perform aftercare, making them feel safe and secure as they fight some of the lingering effects of their enslavement.
ii Secondly, they work to prevent children from being sold into slavery. They try to alleviate the economic factors that tend to make times so desperate for parents that they sell their children in order to feed themselves.
iii. Thirdly, they focus on research. That research helps them stay on top of trends that lead to slavery in order to aid in prevention. They look at economic reasons, natural disasters and worldwide

Each year, students orchestrate THON, a Penn State student-led philanthropic organization that raises money for Four Diamonds and Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Throughout the year, students coordinate fundraisers and a 46-hour dance marathon to cover costs that insurance companies will not cover and attain funding for pediatric cancer research. At Penn State, I intend to be a part of this phenomenal organization. Within THON, I plan to continue my leadership through becoming a committee member. Fundraising is an essential component in any kind philanthropic organization; therefore, participating in canning weekends, becoming a committee member, and raising money. All of the money raised through THON benefits Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital for groundbreaking research in pediatric oncology and medical support for families battling this devastating disease. The novel Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys does an excellent job illustrating the troubling issue of child labor. The extent of child labor in a country is directly linked by the nature and extent of poverty within it. Child labor deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity. It is detrimental to physical and mental development. Today, there are an estimated 246 million child laborers around the globe. This irritating social issue is not only violates a nation’s minimum age laws , it also involves intolerable abuse, such as child slavery, child trafficking, debt bondage, forced labor, and illicit activities. In Between Shades of Grey , Lina and her ten year old brother are unrightfully charged 25 years of
Slave as defined by the dictionary means that a slave is a person who is the property of and wholly subject to another; a bond servant. So why is it that every time you go and visit a historical place like the Hampton-Preston mansion in Columbia South Carolina, the Lowell Factory where the mill girls work in Massachusetts or the Old town of Williamsburg Virginia they only talk about the good things that happened at these place, like such things as who owned them, who worked them, how they were financed and what life was like for the owners. They never talk about the background information of the lower level people like the slaves or servants who helped take care and run these places behind the scenes.
These were a system of escape routes created to help slaves escape from slavery. With the help from Conductors, free african americans, and white abolitionists, they worked to secure them protection, provided food and clothing, and work their way to the next station.
While supporting others that help the world she also co founded a charity non-profit organization with Michael Burg in 2006 named Raising Malawi which is dedicated to helping extreme hardship and poverty endured by Malawi’s one million orphans. The organization’s focus is primarily on education and health services. Her successful charity is now funding a hospital in which she says "This new facility is the first pediatric surgery and intensive care unit in any Malawi hospital. It will have an enormous impact on saving the lives of children," (Madonna, 2017).
There are many different charities that provide help, support and care for children. These charities provide support and care to children who are less fortunate and that are in need. One charity that helps children in wales is Barnardo’s Cymru. The charity aims to provide care and support to the most disadvantaged children/young families and communities in Wales. The charities aim to help children reach their full potential in life no matter what the circumstances in which they live in. The charity helps children and young people who live in bad circumstances e.g. people who are struggling abuse, discrimination or
The goal was to assimilate the children and make them learn the ways of the white European settlers. It is estimated that more than 100,000 children were taken away from their families. Many of these 100,000 children that were taken away didn’t get to see their family again.
Slavery, especially in America, has been an age old topic of riveting discussions. Specialist and other researchers have been digging around for countless years looking for answers to the many questions that such an activity provided. They have looked into the economics of slavery, slave demography, slave culture, slave treatment, and slave-owner ideology (p. ix). Despite slavery being a global issue, the main focus is always on American slavery. Peter Kolchin effectively illustrates in his book, American Slavery how slavery evolved alongside of historical controversy, the slave-owner relationship, how slavery changed over time, and how America compared to other slave nations around the world.
To struggle the slavery in modern world by collecting data, creating projects and building partnership with local and global organizations. Therefore, permitting every human being has freedom.

He suggests that money given to a charity could morally bring about the same type of satisfaction, than if going on vacation or spending money on a video games (Singer 336.) Singer also suggests that often time’s society is afraid of where their money will end up or how it will be use when donated. Singer names four charities that are in existence which are single-handedly devoted to improving the lives of those less fortunate (Singer 337.)
There are many benefits that come with this proposal to allow the homeless to work for limited pay. Many homeless people find it hard to be hired for jobs, but with slavery there is no redundant paperwork to be filled out or any previous experience needed; they can start working straight away. This plan also allows the rich
This place was terrible. They took our clothes away, forced hundreds of us into tightly packed rooms, literally stacked on top of one another like a can of sardines. I was missing you all so much and needed you at the time for comfort. I could not stand it anymore as we rocked back and forth, weeping and angry. As I was bleeding terribly, I forced myself to unlock my hands from the chain. At that point I didn’t care how much pain I was in, all I wanted to do was escape. When I finally did escape and free the others, this raging power came upon me to takeover the ship. The others and I killed all but two of the Spanish on the ship. It felt good to let out all the anger that was built up inside of me and I felt accomplished and powerful.
