Small Town Redneck: My Hero

Unlikely Way Heroes come in many different forms. Heroes can be anyone, they can be your, mom, dad, sister, brother, etc. My hero is my best friend Sarah Watt. She’s kind, sweet, honest, and caring. We became friends because of the nice thing she done for me and I’ll never let it go.

When I think of a hero, I think of someone who is brave, strong, hardworking, trustworthy, and unselfish. Someone who can protect you and make life better; my dad has all of those qualities. My dad was raised by my grandma and had a very different life growing up compared to mine. He grew up where his brother now lives, outside of Brooks Oregon. He really liked riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles and skateboards when he was my age. He also really enjoyed drawing and learning. He graduated from McNary High School. After high school he went to college where he then had to drop out because of money reasons. Later on he went to college again and graduated with a degree in computers and engineering after I was born. Right after college he started working at Intel Corporation. My Michigan Hero Everyone has somebody they look up to, admire, and wanna be like. We all have our own hero. Mine is my brother Tyler. Tyler Shellenberger is an independent, young American. He’s 19 years old and attended Marshall Schools. Tyler is on his way to earning his GED. My Michigan Hero is my brother Tyler Shellenberger.

The name of my hero is Pat Tillman, he is my hero because he is an American warrior and he served our country proud and I respect that.Pat Tillman was an American Soldier he served in the army and was killed in friendly fire and gave up one something that he dreamed of all his life, and what he had worked for, just to help out our country in war. A hero to me is someone you makes you proud, believe in or who you can look up to. Heros have to be respected because they give everything they have because they want to make the people who look up to them proud.

My personal Michigan hero is a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and daughter. Her family is everything to her, and she has shown them to live life to the fullest, to follow God, and to be a role model. Moreover, hard work has never defeated her, and she has shown courage in all that she does. Not to mention, the love between us is like a sunny day, but shines even greater than the sun.

My Michigan Hero Sometimes I wonder what is a hero, is it a person who can fly and do amazing tricks, or is it a modern day soldier who puts his or her life on the line to protect what they love, or could it be a hard working parent or grandparent that is always willing to do anything thing for the people that they care for. And I always come to the conclusion that a hero can be anything because it is the beholders opinion. My abuelo or grandpa was born in Mexico and moved to the United States of America when he was only twelve. His real name is Zenon Cardenas and his early life was not easy, he moved from place to place with his parents on their tremendously low income and sometimes they barely had enough money to get food. Later, he was old enough to get a job in which he chose to be a construction worker, and that is where he learned how to make buildings. After awhile, he eventually settled down in Ionia, Michigan and built the house where him and my abuela or grandma currently lives now. That is the spot that he had my mom and her six siblings.

A hero, a hero is someone or something that tries to be funny and is loving and caring. My Mom, Sara Lundberg is a mother, a wife, a hard worker, and most of all my hero. Sara Lundberg has has dark brown eyes that are the opposite of her personality loving, caring and nice. She is my Michigan hero.

My hero would be would be the all inspiring Adrian Peterson. The life tragedies he would have to overcome would prove to be a true story of learning how channel that energy into sports and moving forward in life. From everything that has happened to this man the thing that spoke out most to me is that how he learned to move forward whether it be good or bad… just move forward. Losing a brother and a dad would be pretty hard and sometimes it seems like lifes out to get you these are just some of the things that plague Adrian's life, he would channel the energy from this into sports surpassing records and even legends.

My Michigan hero is my grandpa Jack. The reason my grandpa Jack is my Michigan hero is because he's kind, funny, and a kid at heart. We have always had fun times laughing till are stomach's hurt and there were tears running down are faces. When I think of the definition of hero I think of fun, loving, and caring. All the memories I have of my grandpa are all good there's to many to name but here's a few snowmobiling, sledding, and boating. That is why my grandpa Jack is and always will be my Michigan hero.

Dalton’s Inspiration Heroes are people who inspire and motivate other people. Have a few heroes in my life. They have inspired me to make good decisions and to never give up. My step dad tells me all the time to never give up for any reason. My papa and “Deuce” inspire me to not smoke, do drugs, or drink.
