The increased penetration of internet in the world has rapidly increased the users of social media making it widespread and accessible to people throughout the world. Its emergence has led to building of new relationships while also impacting others.

Social media plays an important role in the communication of thoughts, ideas and informaton and has become a significant aspect among many people. Its influence has extended across the world with thousands of users consuming it everyday from various parts of the globe. Did you know that there are over 550 million tweets on Twitter every day. Did you know that there are the number of photos uploaded on Facebook in 2 days is around 7 times the amount of the human population (50 million photos). So I don’t think that I am alone when I say that I believe that social media is very important in today’s day and age for people to communicate, get help when in an emergency, and be able to talk with anybody anytime, no matter how far apart you are, on dozens of different platforms.

As we all know, social media has a tremendous impact on society and has affected in some way our daily life, relationships, and/or business. Every day, people around the world access famous social media network sites such as facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and so on to find out about other people, others might use social networking to reconnect with old friends, make new friends, or even meet their spouse.
