The people of the Black Lives Matter Movement had taken what was suppose to be a nonviolent walk, into an irrational protest to forcefully get their point across. The amount of African Americans that continuously promote the violent side of protesting and that continue to make the nation only about the lives of them has increased. People need to grasp that the Black Lives Matter Movement are made of people who are irresponsible and who follow.
For the past few years, the deaths of African Americans both innocent and in wrong have been murdered by white police officers. News channels, social media, and BLM activists will not hesitate to show the white officers committing sins, but they will falter when people show the data that black groups commit more crimes than any other …show more content…

Gangs such as the Crips and Bloods are majority made up of African Americans. Their rivalry for territory in neighborhoods and past history create tension between the two and can lead to multiple deaths. A reporter stated that, “the Bureau of Justice Statistics show that from 1980 to 2008, blacks were six times more likely than whites to be homicide victims and seven times more likely than whites to commit homicide.” (“What does 'black-on-black crime' actually mean?”). The criminal activity occurring in black neighborhoods is higher than any other race.
The battle in debating whether or not the Black Lives Matter movement is still up for debate. But with the facts that are given, people to need to see that the movement need to fix themselves and their communities, before they can fix a whole
