According to Mason, Isaacs and Colby (2011, p. 11), provision of care in the field of nursing requires comprehensive nursing expertise, critical thinking, sound clinical judgement and a holistic overview of health. Registered nurses need to possess a combination of key attributes when providing care, because these attributes play a significant role in enhancing positive outcomes, not only for the patients in their care but also the practitioner and the organisation.
Nurses should be compassionate and caring to their patients while being honest and sincere to them, as well as other aspects of their career. Moreover, admirable nurses must be dedicated to their work and have problem solving skills to aid them in critical situations, and nurses must keep proper composure and remain knowledgeable about their patient’s current state. One of the most important qualities, I believe, for nurses to have is to be an advocate for their patients when they need a voice. Finally, a nurse should be a coach and an educator to help their patients become more independent and
Nurses may play different roles in the field, but their responsibilities are all very similar. Nurses must be confident in everything they do and be patient with people. They should have strong listening
General Qualifications for becoming a nurse, according to Regina Ranburn, include: “Compassion, caring for others, selflessness, love for humanity, and desire to help others” (1). “What makes a great nurse? According to Carol Danielson, senior vice president and chief nurse executive, Gwinnett Health System: “[Two] words come to mind: competent and compassionate. A competent nurse is a skilled and knowledgeable expert for the patient [and] who is trusted to always do the right thing. A compassionate nurse is sympathetic to another’s misfortune.” (Danielson, 2012).
The aspects of a good nurse must be caring, sympathetic, detail-oriented, good listener and have a commitment to lifelong learning.
Nurses need to possess different qualities to be able to do their job. Qualities such as critical-thinking skills, compassion, being detailed oriented, being emotionally stable, having organizational skills, physical stamina, and have great speaking skills. “…you also have to be a good listener and have great communication skills because you are going to be dealing with different people and are going to need to communicate well with others” (Hernandez). For example, having physical stamina is a key quality because nurses work at
Nursing is a noble and rewarding career because it involves saving and caring for others lives. When dealing with others health nurses need to posses a great amount of good qualities to ensure the patient feel safe and well taken care of. In times of sadness nurses need to be supportive and empathic with the patient and their family, in times of concern a nurse needs to be encouraging. Nurses tend to take on different roles while taking care of a patient they sometimes have to be an educator to the patient, advocate for the patient, and a problem-solver. Thus the profession requires empathy, patience, compassion, flexibility, trustworthy and great interpersonal skills.

To me a nurse needs to be courageous, independent, and thick skinned. A nurse needs to be courageous to go out and care for someone who may treat them well or may treat them with minute respect. A nurse needs to be able to handle situations that may cause them to be uncomfortable. I want to be able to be relied on by someone else and their family to make them as comfortable through their troubling times.

The topic I choose to research on is the effect of short selling on economy. Short selling is when an investor borrows shares of trading security fro his or her brokers, sell the stock immediately, and use the proceeds to buy back the stock at a lower price. Essentially, it is a way for investor to profit when the price of a trading security goes down. Since I am finance major, this topic is highly relevant to me an I want to know more about it.
It is a common notion that we, as a society, have become polarized and that the social media is to blame for it. Some scholars argue that the internet provides numerous sources of information thus enhancing our understanding of issues and tempering our views. We, as humans, also engage in behaviors such as homophily and biased assimilation which have been found to encourage polarizing behavior. This paper tries to explore if polarization is a consequence of informed deliberation or just a result of group dynamics.
