Nowadays, social networking has been taking a big part in our lives especially through the existence of gadgets that helps us to access programs such as; twitter, Face book, MySpace and many more. Did you know that fifty-four percent of companies prohibit the use of social networking, but fifty-seven percent of employees admit to using social networks during work time for personal use? Therefore it’s easy for the bully to say harsh things to the victim since they have no visual contact with each other. From this bullying, it can lead to huge things as in death threats, or hurting people in real life. People who become the victims of this bullying will feel hurt, unprotected, unsafe, not confident and make them couldn’t talk to anyone about how they feel. Physical bullying can result in many extreme outcomes. The bully creates dangerous physical harm to their victims and in today society EVERY victim has a breaking point and retaliates in a violent way. Victims of bullying get thoughts of suicide, cutting themselves, low self esteem, and also wanting to become a bully because its happening to them. Unfortunately there are a lot of students and staff today and parents do not feel like their schools are a safe place to go because of the types of bullying that occur.
I find out that cyberbullying is a negative impact on social networking, because if you're on a website like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and etc. people bully. They send bad words and some people might even have money taken off them the bully might call you stupid and all that stuff.Privacy is another negative impact on social networking, because people might send pictures of themselves. Also, when an individual is being bullied they be insecure about themselves all the time, and be scared to socialize with other individuals just because of their bully experience. Next, we have bystanders, those can be somebody related or not related to the person who is being bullied, but they know about it and instead of asking for help or try to stop it they would just watch and let it happen. Bystander shows that they agree with the bully and every negative action they do towards the victim. Based on this research, bullying is a form of behavior that is facing our families, community, schools and society today.
