When client arrived to the office, client greeted therapist. When therapist checked in on symptoms and behaviors clients reported feeling happy 7X/W this past week as he reported that he has two weeks off for the winter break. Client reports feeling happy and excited that he is on vacation from school, having a new therapist, received many presents for Christmas and he is excited to open it soon, and spending more quality time with his mother. Client reported that he feels bored as he has lots of time during the week because he has no homework or school and he feel lazy and has no enough activities to fill the time. Client reported that he wants to play with his friends, but most of them are either busy with Christmas shopping or travelling.
For this paper, I have decided to research two social work theories and how those theories apply to residents in long term care facilities. The primary focus will be those residents who are alert, oriented, and showing minimal symptoms of dementia.
The client met with his counselor for his 1x1 session for a case manager with his STOP worker. Client is currently in compliance with his STOP contract. Client has cooperative during his time here at the program is making progress regarding his TX plan. Client has attended outside NA meeting and church meeting after his 60 day blackout. Client is set to get his ID on Friday. Client appears to be willing to do the necessary work. I really loved Adam Bennett story about how he integrated his faith into his work. I can recall in Adam story where he stated that his social work education help him doing some challenges that he come across both on his job, and doing his pastoral duties (Garland, 2015, p. 78). At hours on June 26, 2016, I, Cpl. Lessane, along with Deputy Wright, with the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office, responded to 2863 Two Sister Ferry Road, in the county of Hampton, in regards to a disturbance incident. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant, Susan Wells, who stated a yellow aggressive lab, chased her and her husband while riding their bicycle on Two Sister Ferry Road. Deputies attempted to make contact with the dogs and its own, no contact was made.
Ryan is becoming an experienced investigator. He is showing improvement in decreasing the number of overdue hotlines that he as each month. He has not had any overdue reports since August, 2016. He does have his Plans of Actions & recoding in his cases according to policy 90% of the time. He is able to identify risk in his investigations and develop steps to resolves any problems, or issues. I am also an able bodied, working class, heterosexual woman who is a Christian from the Church of God 7th Day sect. These factors which are critical to my identity, plays an important role on how am I perceived in society on a personal, cultural and structural level. The characteristics described above can also have an effect on my position within the society, which can lead to either an abundance or a lack of access to resources. My client is Kelly, a forty years old white female with a history of homelessness and incarceration. She is single and does not have any children. she was accepted into the agency on October fifth, 2016. Kelly was interviewed by the therapist as a part of the agency criterion for the eligibility. Kelly has been fifteen months of sobriety from illicit drug. Kelly developed a concurrent illness of depression disorder as result of losing her house and properties while she is in prison. But the depression range is moderate. She has a strong supportive system of brother and sister who reaches out to her to know how she is fairing. Kelly works full time job at Walmart but overwork herself with overtime which is affecting her depression.
Henry is a 21 years old collge student, he is an international student from China, he was born in China and live with his parents until he was 17 years old.Henry is now living in a shared house. Henry reported that he did not have any health problem in his childhood. Recently Henry feels he has been really depressed and he has trouble fall asleep at night. Because he feels he can not do well at school also his parents doesn’t understand him, he feels he can’t focus in class and easily got distracted when doing homework. Henry stated he always doing many tasks at the same time, but normally can’t finish them. And Henry also stated that he have difficuties when communicating with others, and he thinks is hard for him to keep listening
John, age three illustrates tremors and cries uncontrollable. John look as if he is not speaking as he should for his age. His vocabulary is very limited as if he is behind for his age. He is at this time not walking on the level that he should be. John lived with both of his biological parents. In addition, John has not had much structure in his life because he did not have many rules to abide by. Due to the lack of structure, John did not have a set routine of what time to go to bed and he could wonder the house freely. John’s father has had several job. In addition, John’s father also stays out late at night, selling drugs and manufacturing methamphetamines within the home. Even though John’s father sold drugs, there is no reports on him using drugs. In addition, manufacturing drugs in the home may have lead John to be exposed to drugs, which can have an effect on the child’s development. Due to Johns father’s actions, he was arrested leaving John not having a father figure in his life.
