Introduction
Social work refers to a profession that involves individual groups or communities with an aim to improve the social operation and the general well-fare. Code of ethics, according to Business Dictionary (2018) refers to a set of guidelines provided to workers and the management by an institution to help them conduct operations according to the ethical standards and primary values. The paper discusses some of the values and moral principles manifested in a head start agency, ethical issues dilemmas facing the agency as well as the conflicts, if present, between social work values and those provided by the agency.
Values and Ethical Principles in Head Start Agency
The most embraced value in our agency is social justice. The institution ensures that every individual whether staff or child receives fair treatment. Equal efforts apply to all students both slow as well as the fast learners to ensure success to all. On ethical principles, we lean mainly on recognizing students’ and staffs’ talents and ways to develop them substantially for future benefits.

The staff finds it difficult in deciding whether to explain the situation of the student or persist with the training for better performance. In such a scenario, the staff chooses to write a letter to a student’s parents, requesting for a medical examination of the child for the child to be evaluated to determine if the child need services or not.
