Main Elements of Societies and its effect on Business….
Family-:
Family is a basic part of society from the birth of a person and up to death.
He lives in family so personal decisions of buying and selling of goods affects the family
In the culture of a family, it may happen that parents does not allow the use of a particular product, then the sale of such product will decrease.
So businessmen, must analyze different families needs. Many occasion of family, like marriage of any family member can increase the demand of goods.
Educational Institutions-:
Educational institutions are also a main part of societies.
They provide good knowledge, education, awareness, thinking, what should students buy or not to buy.
Suppose if a student is habitual to drinking coffee and his teacher advice him that this is harmful to his health after his guidance students can avoid drinking coffee after this, the sale of coffee will
Family can be defined as people who are related to you, consisting of (but not limited to): grandparents, parents, siblings, and children. Our families affect who we are by raising us in a particular way that coincides with their culture and beliefs. As we age and learn more, we can decide whether we will keep these beliefs or accept a new truth. This can cause people to either embrace their family, or distance themselves.
Also some specific, and perhaps surprising, elements that affect business include nonverbal communication, forms of address, attitudes toward punctuality, religious celebrations and customs, business practices, and expectations regarding meals and gifts.
Prepare a 10-minute presentation (10-15 slides, not including title or reference slide) on organizational culture and values.
Witness is a film which explores the differences between the modern American and traditional Amish communities. Directed by Australian Peter Weir, the film is set in 1985, in Pennsylvania, America. Rachel Lapp and her young son, Samuel, leave the Amish community to travel to Baltimore to visit Rachel’s sister. Whilst waiting at the train station Samuel enters the bathroom where he witnesses a murder of a police officer. This involves the appropriately named honest detective John Book, who investigate the murder and does things by the book. Witness brings together two different worlds and explores the effects. Witness also discusses organizational culture in its revelations of the Philadelphia police force’s entrenched corruption.
Making business abroad can be risky, but it can also be profitable for a company as well; thus the necessity to study in deep the country where the company will bring the business to. International companies are faced with many cultural challenges, when doing business across and inside of different borders. Identifying the significant cultural issues involved when evaluating the attractiveness of a particular location as a place for doing business can be crucial for a business. Aspects to consider when studying culture in a new place
Cultures are varying among different parts of the globe. People with different cultures have different characteristics and viewpoints on the subjects due to diverse understanding and method of learning. During the past few decades, the international trade grows in a very rapid rate due to the advantages that it provides; “increased sales, operational efficiencies, exposure to new technologies and broader consumer choices” (Heslin). Therefore, when considering the culture aspect to current business world, it is crucial for business to understand the culture aspect because of the tremendous growth of international business as well as utilize the international market to its maximum
I was able to demonstrate cultural competence when I volunteered at the hospital reading books to patients. I had a chance to interact with diverse groups and learn about different cultures. Some patients used to teach me their language and this is how I became more culturally sensitive. In the beginning, I had a hard problem connecting with them because I lacked the knowledge of their cultural practices. So to solve this, first I had to become aware of my own culture by asking my parents some questions and reading books that pertain to my culture. I had to understand how my culture has affected me before I understand how it affects others. The reason that I thought this was important was because if I become comfortable talking about my culture

The assignment was about interviewing somebody, whose culture and background differ from mine. After conducting such interview, I decided to convert that interview to a narrative and well-written form, which will certainly shed light on miscellaneous aspects of Mr. K’s culture. Knowing more about someone’s culture will enhance my awareness about the diversity that exists on this planet. Therefore, I decided to conduct the interview with my friend, Mr. K, whom I know since I came to this University. I was hoping that I will be surprised by knowing a lot of things that I thought I knew them well.
It is very important to study the different elements of culture of the country. When consider China and India, being large countries, the cultural diversity is higher and varies with the geographical areas. In some cultures, the value systems and ethics will be critically affected on the business. Some businesses are almost impossible to start in some regions due to cultural factors such as religion and value systems. Particularly, in Chinese culture, collectivism plays a major role in decision making. Therefore, a thorough knowledge about the culture is necessary before going to start a business.
The life experience during the kid’s time is one of most important time in the life. I have learned this by the hard way. When people looking for how should their kids to learn, I think people should pay more attention to what are their kids learning. Times are changing, the old thought of teaching might not fit in today anymore. I am always hoping one day today’s student could teach kids, because today’s student knows more about what kids like, what should kids know at this time of the day. SEU’s CCU class’s Cultural Engagement Assignment have given me a chance to see my childhood dream in life. I have decided to go one of the activity on Saturday. I have gone three times, first time I want is because I have to; the second time I want is because I like it and I want to do something I can to help the kids, also I want to know about the kids grow up in the family that not so good. Before I want the activity, my understanding of “Cultural Engagement,” is the connection between the people and the cultural, but after I want the activity, my understanding of “Cultural Engagement” has changed, it became what kind of culture for the kids have been growing up have affected to their dream and behavior. I will never forget a point that so many pastors have mentioned - Christians should never need to tell others that they are Christian but people should able to tell that we are Christian. As being Christian, we need to show the love to others and share the God’s words and
My biggest concerns as an ECE candidate are my language barrier and my cultural background. I think Korea is a very conservative country because it seems that there are only one standard of success, beauty, and etc. It has been continuously changed as the generation changes, but still, there is not enough understanding of diversity. Since there is one standard for each area, most people think different with others means something is wrong. There is a lack of understanding and acceptance of differences, so many people compare themselves with others to identify themselves and judge others with their own perspective easily. I have lived in that culture for 30 years. If someone asks me, “What cultural competence specifically means to you,” I could
The three artifacts that I will be bring in my cajita that representing my cultural identity is a Bible, kickboxing hand wraps, and hair pick. The reason why these artifacts describe me is because the Bible symbolize being free from worldly way, it help to guide me in important decisions since I am one of does people who second guest their selves, its help me to point out what I am doing wrong and to accept myself for who I am. Since grow up in America and being African American I heard that I was not beautiful because of my feature that I not going to be any and that their not a future for people who look like me. I heard all of this from both the media and community. However, two year ago when I starts reading and listening to the Bible
Social issues include population demographics (such as growth rate or age profile), employment patterns, income levels and population health and education. The above affect the pricing of the product and how the product is advertised, for example. Cultural behaviour is not always easy to analyse as it comprises many underlying assumptions which are hard to change intentionally but which evolve over time (Mullins, 1985). Methods of conducting business are altered by these cultural concerns.
Sociocultural perspective is mainly about how different people are from one another. This theory is used to determine what might trigger or influence someone's behavior or mental stage, such as their surroundings, gender, culture, or even ethnicity. A person's surroundings is a major part of their behavior or actions because this could help a psychologist understand why they think something is normal, or where they picked up some of the habits they may have. For example, someone from a more individual or smaller society will have a more independent of others as well as themselves. Society is also put into the socio-cultural perspective because children tend to lean towards what everyone else does so they could feel pressured to do things just to fit into a group.
