Softball is my favorite sport. I like softball because it requires you to always be aware of what’s going on. I also enjoy the fact that you have to be able to work well with others in order to be successful. Unlike other sports, there is no way to function as a single player. I think this helps to teach the value of building relationships with others as well. I also enjoy the game of softball because it helps me to stay in shape. There is so much physical activity involved with this sport. This makes it hard to be out of shape and still perform well. There are lots of health benefits that come with staying active, and playing softball helps me to do that. Being in the best shape will help a softball player to be competitive. The level
Well, the time has come for me to finally put in my two cents and everyone has to listen. So, here we go… I vividly remember being a sophomore and Brooke Bushman telling me “Just wait. The time for you to give your senior speech will be here before you know it. You'll probably write a novel and make it rhyme or something like that”. Well, sorry to disappoint but I really have nothing proud like that to share. For me, softball was always just a game. It was just another enjoyable outlet
Imagine coming across a goal that you’ve been wanting to accomplish for a very long time.
Have you ever had so much passion for a sport you have been playing for almost your whole life? I love playing all positions of softball and I admire everything that comes with it that includes battle wounds, road trips to games, making memories to practicing out on home field getting ready to bat some love into their lives. Softball is not an easy sport at all but it’s my passion and a privilege to be able to stand on that field. So much love, effort and hard work has been put in over the years. After 12 years of truly knowing the sport these are my favorite things out on the field such as pitching with strength, sliding with passion, and batting to hear all of your support to make a home run!
For five years I have been playing softball. Just last year I was apart of a travel team. We had a great team and worked very well together. We went to multiple tournaments and put our best foot forward no matter what the circumstances were. I have never played with a better group of girls who love the game as much as I did.
The perfect day for softball is on a glistering, hot summer day. As a softball player you get to experience, experiences most individuals do not. As a team we go to the batting cages an hour before the game starts to warm up batting and our arms. During this time we listen to music to get us pumped up for our game and have a team bonding session. When the game starts at six, we line up out on the field together getting our names announced and listen to the National Anthem being sung. After the National Anthem we separate to our positions and the game begins. The crowd goes wild, teammates, family, and coaches all throughout the game. Standing on the softball field in 80 to 100 degree weather, the sun, beaming down on you making you burn like a tomato. Not only do you sweat, when the wind blows you are plastered in sand from head to toe. During softball
When most people think of softball they don’t take it as seriously as someone might for baseball, but softball is just as tough and competitive. The pitchers for both sports have an even tougher time. Every position is important, but if your pitcher’s arm is sore after every game, then it’s going to impact your team. Baseball players are always worried about when their arm will start hurting, and the pitch count put in place helps so that they don’t throw out their arm. Softball is different, in that there is no pitch count rule.
“The inclusion of the package of new sports will afford young athletes the chance of a lifetime to realize their dreams of competing in the Olympic Games – the world's greatest sporting stage – and inspire them to achieve their best, both in sport and in life (Elliott).” Softball should be back in the Olympics because it makes money and and benefits players by increasing interests.

Softball has taught me life lessons such as: synergy, commitment, leadership, and goal setting. Although those are just a few, I strongly believe these have guided me in variety of aspects of my life; my performance in the classroom, demeanor throughout conflict, and perspective on peculiar circumstances are pragmatic cases in which I have executed these lessons intuitively. In addition, softball introduced me to my passion for sports, which has had an extensive impact on me when it comes to considering future occupations. I am assured that my sentiment for this field will contribute to my overall success.
Nothing is more fun than a fun, warm evening full of softball. A great activity offered by my school is softball. First, softball has been a great fitness sport and will help to motivate students and individuals. When practicing and playing this activity a person gets a lot of exercise. Second, it is a sport that can relieve all stress. If someone is stressed, just go and play a game of softball. 10/10 it will take all the stress away. Last, I plan to play softball in college at UA (University of Alabama). This activity makes a really important career for lots of talented girls. Softball is a really fun sport that can be played with tons of friends and have fun. Honestly, softball is certainly the greatest interest ever. It is a great activity that is super motivating and really fun. As can be seen, a really
Softball is a sport that has gotten more competitive and popular over the years. Today there is two types of softball, slow pitch and fast pitch. Softball was created when a group of college kids wanted a sport that was similar to baseball but you could play it indoors. When softball continued to grow in number the sport moved to indoor facilities and small outdoor fields. Baseball and softball are very similar but in softball the ball is bigger, the bats are larger in diameter, and the pitch is threw underhand. Also, in softball the field is smaller, the cases are closer together, and the pitcher is closer to home plate. In softball there are different positions you can play to be effect in the field. There is the outfield, infield, pitcher,
Softball is an intense game that requires much concentration; Softball is a variant of Baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. It was invented in 1887 in Chicago, America as an indoor game. It was originally known as indoor baseball which was played with a mushy ball. This was originally played by Women but now is a both gender game. The name softball was given to the game in 1926. Most people know this game for its name being Softball and having been played with a big hard ball which some people find weird. Softball has been around for me since I was very young. I had many people that i looked up to which keep me pushing forward in the sport.
Softball. It’s the art that I do when that lets me be myself. When I swing my bat and it hit the ball it’s like an artist stroking a line of paint on a canvas. When I am throwing a ball and it rolls of my finger tips it letting all the sadness, and worries go away. Playing the game is life painting a masterpiece. Each stroke on the bush is hitting the ball and running to first base. Music. It’s like a band-aid. To protect me when I don’t want to be sad, to express what I can’t express in words. Its when and artist can only express themselves when painted or drawing. And its like me when I listen to music,it’s how I express what I’m feeling inside.
Playing softball, you get fit. Being fit, makes people like their bodies, which makes people happier in general. When throwing the ball, you have to throw it harder than you would a baseball, which means you’re using more of your muscles than you would when throwing a baseball. As a result, your arms and body get toned, and running to catch the ball gets your legs worked out as well. When hitting the ball, you have
