Since Okonkwo stood out more than all the other men he was seen as Umuofia's most powerful man. Although Okonkwo is the most powerful man in Umuofia he also has weaknesses. One of those weaknesses is his father, he doesn’t wanna be a weak man and careless like his father. As the white missionaries moved in into their home land, the Igbo people who are unsure of how to react to these traditions either switched to their ways or stayed faithful to their faith. Many people became persuaded of the new religions authorities, however Okonkwo who is an warrior at heart refuses to accept the changes that were taking place in his community.

Musui 's Story is a samurai 's autobiography that portrays the Tokugawa society as it was lived during Katsu Kokichi 's life (1802 - 1850). Katsu Kokichi (or Musui) was a man born into a family with hereditary privilege of audience with the shogun, yet he lived a life unworthy of a samurai 's way, running protection racket, cheating, stealing, and lying. Before we discuss how Musui 's lifestyle was against the codes that regulated the behavior of the samurai, it is essential that the role of the samurai in Japanese society be understood.

Sacajawea is a well-known American-Indian woman. Her expedition with explorers Lewis and Clark was extraordinary. She was born in Tendoy, Idaho around 1788. She was a member of the Lemhi Shoshone tribe. At this time, the American territory ended at the Mississippi River. One year after the Louisiana Purchase, President Thomas Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark on an expedition that left from St. Louis, Missouri, traveling through the US Northwest, to the Pacific Ocean (History).

David Njoka is a tight end for the Cleveland Browns. Almost everyone who has played with him knows him as the freak. It’s not because he is weird or anything like that, but Njoku is just more athletic than anyone has ever seen. He has an amazing ability to jump sky high. In college he was on the track team along with football. At track he was highly know for his jumping abilities. So when it came to football he used that ability to leap over defenders to score touchdowns. The first and only reigning Hawaiian queen and the last Hawaiian sovereign to govern the islands, her name is Queen Liliuokalani. In the childhood of Queen Liliuokalani, there were lot’s interesting facts about her childhood to her adult life. I thought she was just a great Queen of Hawai’i and had a great life. But, after I read this, this was not true. She had lots of a hard time to defend the Hawai’i as the last Hawaiian queen.

Resembling many of the other cultures that we have been learning about and discussing during the course of the semester, the Cherokee have stories explaining the formation of the universe, have a creator, a trickster, and a collection of various other interesting myths. The mythology of a culture results in oneness within the community and a sense of homogeneity that is difficult to achieve by any other means. The agriculture of the Cherokee requires cooperation between the members of the community and rejects being selfish and only looking out for the wellbeing of oneself or one family member.

The Japanese people, although of different classes, are united by a fierce pride for self and culture. Although many of the samurai are starving and poor, they are too proud to beg for food, or even accept it as payment for services rendered. Some of the samurai who refuse to help the village do so because they are too proud to work for such a lowly cause. The farmers’ pride in their village is seen through their efforts to defend their village and livelihood in the face of the bandits. This pride is even more evident as those farmers who live outside the protective wall built around the village for the battle attempt to mutiny against the samurai and defend only their homes.

The Aokigahara forest has a horrifying history, a variety of different people who visit, also locals and workers have it worse than people think.

Historically, the chief group of the Ngwa people originated from Ụmụnọha in the present Imo State of Nigeria. In their search for dwelling virgin lands the people embarked on a journey. Apparently, the journey lasted many days and the clan eventually arrived at the banks of the Imo-River. Fatigued, and in need of food, combined with the reality that the river had overflown its banks they waited for low tide, for it to recede. However, the only handy food item they had was yam – the king of crops. One group decided to roast the yams, while the other group preferred boiling the yams. While they were cooking their food, the great Imo River began to recede.
