God Never Ceases To Amaze Me
Inspired by Evangelist Peggy White … by bndsawyer 1/30/01 – 4/8/09
God never ceases to amaze me
He keeps on doing great things
God never ceases to amaze me
He keeps on doing great things
Verse:
Ways that He makes
And all the time He takes
To bring vict’ry in my life
And freedom from all strife
I am standing whole today
‘Cause Jesus died to make the way
And He keeps on doing
Great things
Oh yes He spared my life … and He took away all strife
Let me see another day … That’s why I can truly say
He made a way for me …Yes! I have the victory
He keeps on doing great things
Vamp:
He keeps on
He keeps on doing great things
Yes, oh yes!
He keeps on doing great things
I’m a witness that
He keeps on … doing
Great things
(repeat)
(modulate)
End:
He keeps on … doing … great things
Psalm 19:14
Speak: “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be
Psalms 139 speaks to me as a song of praise. God speaks very clearly about how he knows us. He knows our every thought. He cares about our comings and goings. Every word that we speak God knows it before we even speak it. I love the song there will be pain in the night and joy comes in the morning. Says that he is always with us no matter where we are at. His sprit never leaves us. We could go to the depths of the earth, settle in on the far side of the sea, we can hide in the darkest places and he will find us because he cares for us. This psalm is very meaningful to me because it lets me know that my Lord will never leave me or forsake me. He created me I will praise him because “I am fearfully and wonderfully made your works are wonderful
One of my most favorable Bible verses is Psalm 115:17-18, “The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence. But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.” This verse gave me direction during a time of struggle. It keeps me in remembrance to always praise the Lord, for his love is everlasting regardless what may
Almighty Good you deserve all that we are, you do for us when we least expect you to. You gave your son to shed his blood on Calvary for our sins and we remember in this solemn
‘I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.—Psalm 193’ Olson
If we really believe, keep doing what he wants us to do, we will certainly hear the same affirmation that poor, but now so blessed man heard. “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in
Out of the depths of pain and sorrow, the believer's heart cries out: "I trust in you, O Lord: 'I say, you are my God."' (Psalms
On this account I, or rather the lord, beseech you as Christ’s heralds to publish this
In conclusion: Whatever turmoil may come in life, the love of Christ has always survived all oppositions and all trials cannot or never will separate God’s love from
These words I one day want tattooed to my skin as a daily reminder of what He does for me every day, but the many verses preceding and following them provide an even more perfect picture of who God is and what drives how I understand this world and His calling for me while I’m a participant of it. It’s a long passage, so I’ll share the portions most relevant to this post and my title. Psalms 146 opens in exalting the Lord and continues on to warn readers about the dangers of hoping in man over Him. By verse 6, we begin to learn about the many ways He blesses and cares for His people. Then, in verse 7, we read about our
Psalms 93 - This psalm shows the honor of the kingdom of God. It relates to both the kingdom of his grace and providence. He has all power in heaven and on earth. With concerns to God’s kingdom, word like so are here spoken. Have other kings their royal robes? So, has he (1). Have they their thrones? So, has he (2). Have they their enemies whom they subdue and triumph over? So, has he (3-4). Is it their honor to be faithful and holy? So, it is his (5).
Establishing a companionship is fundamental when witnessing, regardless of what the other individual’s world view is. Furthermore, spending time with the individual is imperative. This might include making a meal if they are struggling or offering a letter of encouragement. A Christian should also have a servant’s heart when establishing a friendship to look for ways to bless others. Being compassionate, patient, and listening are essential. Asking questions about their life is another practical step in building a relationship. In addition, gaining his or her trust is important. Being respectful or his or her current worldview is crucial. In the same way, being transparent about your life as a Christian is helpful. Sounding perfect is unrealistic.
God has brought us salvation. But too often we are subdued in our praise to God. We like to keep it on the inside. At a conference at a Presbyterian church in Omaha many years ago, people were given helium filled balloons and told to release them at a point in the service when they felt like expressing their praise to God. All through the service balloons ascended, but when it was over 1/3 of the balloons were unreleased. During worship, there should be numerous times when we are filled in our hearts with so much praise that we cannot contain it. I am going to tell you something that I think is great about worship. It is ok to clap during worship. It is ok say Amen. It is ok to shout out halleluiah during worship. It is ok to shout out Praise be to God, Jesus. When the spirit hits you just right it is ok to raise your hand (s) in the air to praise Jesus! The psalmist writes, “Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy before the Lord.” If the sea, rivers, and hills can do all of that to show their praise for God, then so can we. Are you joyful that you serve a God that is always faithful? If you are, somebody say Praise be to God! Are you joyful for all of God’s wonderful deeds?
"This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Thusly being complimented
Oh how I’ve been blessed by our one true God! Oh how he has taken his compassion upon me and turned my sorrow into something great. I would have never thought I would escape the place I was in; feeling unloved and lonely. But oh how God has taken himself upon my problems and turned them around! God saw me in my darkest hour, and I would strongly encourage to keep faith and hope in him through your trials, for he will see you and present you with blessings.
“The psalm begins in a rather unique way, with the psalmist declaring love for God (verse 1). It is much more common for the psalmist to speak of trusting God, seeking refuge in God, or waiting for God.” (Henry). In this commentary the author Matthew Henry brings up a great point about how the Psalm starts off and the significance it holds. The book of Psalms is a poetry formatted book which brings declarations to God through forms of poetry. In this specific psalm the psalmist is describing how God has rescued them from hard times. It states in verse one “He heard my voice: He heard my cry for mercy.” and this is a way of the psalmist to declare the good that God has done in their life. It goes onto say in verse two “Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” This has significant meaning because it is not only glorifying the goodness of God but it is showing the reader that God can pull you
