Sonia Moskovy, a medium length black hair light skinned woman with green eyes, was driving back from the mall. As she was driving, she immediately had to stop and go check the car out--gorgeous white 2018 Range Rover Sport. It was a beautiful morning at the Land Rover shop. Sonia has always dreamed of having her own Range Rover. It was a symbol of elegance, speed, and technology. It delivers breathtaking on-road performance. One of her favorite features is the Touch ProTM Duo high-definition touchscreen with the full-color head-up display that allows her to view and interact with multiple features at once. She could hear the car yelling “Get me! Get me.” Everything seemed perfect. However, Sonia had to make a decision. She has enough money to purchase her dream car at the moment, but she is not able to purchase it because she has bills to pay. She has an amazing job as a radiologist with great pay. Sonia is still in college debt aside from the fact that she still needs to pay her parents back. The problem is that Sonia can’t save her money. As soon as she wants something she has to get it, forgetting about all the loans she took back in college. Sonia realized that if she would have been saving the money instead of spending it all she would have been done with her debt a long time ago. …show more content…
“But it’s the perfect car and you know there is only a limited amount of these cars mom” said Sonia. “Yes, honey I understand that it’s the perfect car, but did you forget you have debts? It’s either the car or your debts” said her mom. “I know mom, but I can ask for an extension” said Sonia in a whining
What would you do if you had $15,000? Perhaps you donate money to charity, or perhaps buy a new car? Maybe you could finally get that watch or purse that you’ve always wanted. The issue is that many people thought they had this much money. Unfortunately, they paid with credit and are now paying 18% extra on their purchases; in some cases, it’s even as high as 26%. That equates to paying roughly $18,000 dollars for something that only cost $15,000. Many Americans are regrettably faced with these bills today, but there is hope. There are people out there who want to get us out of debt, and back on our feet. This essay will look at two of those people, Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman. Of course, you will have to decide which will work best for you. Hopefully this will help you find your way to being debt free.
Marie Kashpaw is a central female character and mother figure in the novel. She is in the middle of just about everything in the novel. Marie is a strong person, who goes through life steadfast. Only fourteen years old at the time, Marie trusts her impulses to get what she wants: Which was to be the first Indian reservation girl to become a saint. Marie is not of full Indian descent; she was very defensive about having some Native American relatives, telling the reader that she doesn't "have that much Indian blood" and was just as "light" as the other nuns were. In fact, she was so sensitive about that, eventually, she denied having any Native American blood, even with family members. Marie was raised in the bush, she only went to town for Sunday Mass and school. Marie didn’t seem to mind going to church because prayer is kind of a great equalizer and “she could pray with the best of them”, which meant it would be impossible for the nuns to reject or look down at her in disdain. The convent, on top of the highest hill, holds the strongest attraction for Marie.
Growing up, it is easy to imagine the future playing out something like this: attend college, score that dream job, get rich, get married, have kids, and live happily ever after. It all sounds pretty familiar, however many young adults find that life does not always happen so simply. There are horror stories everywhere. Students graduate, fail to find a job in their field as they expected, and are left feeling hopeless as their credit card and loan bills pile sky high. Take Paige Nichols for example. Paige grew up in a family that was well-off financially. Her parents were able to pay for her two younger siblings’ college educations and, like many middle class children, she was used to getting what she wanted. However, by the time it was her turn to go to college, her parents’ financial situation had gone downhill and she was left to pay for her education by herself. After four years she graduated with a business degree and $20,000 in debt to go with it. Her payment plan was set at $300 per month, and although she had jobs, she was used to living frivolously, and therefore only made the bare minimum payment of $50 most months. This left her in a position where she would remain in debt until she was 50 years old. A few years after graduating with her bachelor’s, she considered going back for her master’s in forensic psychology, something she had grown very fond of. However, since she was already inundated with student debt and could not afford to spend an extra
It was a chilly morning on January 28, 1986 when Lori Bockhorst went to school at Londonderry High School. On what would normally be an ordinary day in the life of the students, something exciting was about to occur. This day was a special day, because the space shuttle was expected to be launched. Though launches were still rare, Lori had seen them before, and they had always fascinated her. This time, however, was different. On the crew would be a teacher from Concord, New Hampshire; a city a few miles down from where Lori lived. The teacher, Christa McAuliffe, had won a nationwide contest over 11,000 other teachers that granted her the right to this amazing experience. She would be teaching lessons to her students from space, a feat never before achieved. (History.com Staff) After undergoing months of training, she would be the first ordinary citizen that had gone into space. Everyone was excited with the fact that normal people like them were doing the seemingly impossible. Many of the
The article describes three formats of in-vehicle feedback; visual, haptic, and audio. Each of the three formats to be broke down into various systems and functions. The shiny blue mustang is behind her with the front wheel slightly turned and dark tints. This car is also only two doors which means not that many people fit inside. The Jetta ad doesn’t exactly show a car, it shows a model of a sand car with a boy and girl playing in the back seat and a woman in the front seat relaxing getting a tan. This ad shows that this is a family car because of the two kids playing in the back seat, portraying that kids will be safe while the parents drive and wont have to be looking back and forth between the road and the kids.

The crisp, cold wind hurtled on Lothal like the end of time itself. Darkness filled that air along with stars and the moon, making it barely visible to a naked eye. It was peaceful as everyone was asleep, or on their way to being in the land of slumber. Almost everyone was in their houses trying to find the land of which they can escape the wretched hell-like planet. Almost everyone. All except one person.
Siena was speechless, she had never heard someone act so rude about something as insignificant as the looks of a car. So what if her car wasn’t as nice?
