“They haven’t told you yet, have they?” he mutterred in a low voice. We were standing next to the horse stables whilst waiting for my grandmother, cousin, and brother to finish putting the last horse in the field. The sun had seeped down right before our eyes, but we were too deep in conversation to notice. Jacob, my cousin, was different. Yet had ignored this fact to have a good vacation. “No” My own voice said strangely, but it didn’t sound like me for some reason. “What is it?” Sounding calm was extremely hard in this situation. But Jacob heard the curiosity in my voice. We had just finished a short horseback riding lesson, and it was evident that Jacob hadn’t enjoyed it. I didn’t want to push any harder, if he showed any sign of uncomfort,
“You don’t mind if we ask some questions about why you’re standing there all by yourself?” said
Although not exactly the response he had hoped for, Tom’s head nodded frantically, and when he found his voice, his words tripped over his lips in their anxiety to be free. “Y-Yes, I mean, I-I want to try, but I m-might not be any good so—”

“They need to be told,” she sighed. “Please, sit down, children. After you left, Aiden, Sirethiel was a sensational place. Thorn had been banished, all the wicked creatures were transformed, and light filled every nook and cranny. Wouldn’t you agree, Cotton?”

My doubting voice said, "You

“Oh, I didn’t realize,” I grumbled. “I-I just had a dream I was running. Lord knows I haven’t done that in a while.” I forced a noise in my throat that might have been a chuckle, hoping to inject a note of humour in place of dignity.

He heard the voice in his head again. He still didn't know the language, but somehow he knew it was asking who he was.
“How old are you (F/N)?” I turned in the direction I heard the voice come from,
I have been a student of the Great Highland Bagpipes for nearly 2 years now. I have had the privilege of performing with the Balmoral Pipes and Drums for just about as long. With Balmoral Pipes & Drums I have played in numerous parades throughout the city of Pittsburgh and the surrounding Allegheny county, besides parades I have played alongside them at St. Andrew's Society's Tartan Day and Pittsburgh's First Night Celebration for two years in a row now. Besides being a piper I am also an actor and this past September I managed to combine the two, playing the pipes in a production of Henry V with Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks, an organization that provides high quality Shakespeare to the public.
I searched the room, looking for the source of the voice. I saw a figure mover in the corner.
