I believe that the book Animal Farm should be read by more people because of how educational and beneficial it could be to others. First off, the theme of the novel has a hidden meaning that if the book is fully read and understood the reader can be educated on the corrupt ways of the Soviet Union which makes it an allegory which means that everything in the novel has some type of meaning relating to the corrupt tendencies of the Soviet Union. Also a lot can be learned from George Orwell’s brilliant and complex writing with his uses of motifs, imagery, foreshadowing, symbolism and irony in all of his novels. He specifically makes sure that all of these literary devices are used in a certain way that incorporates the book, the Soviet Union, and he also words them in a way that it will draw the reader in and allow them to further connect with his writing as well as allowing the reader to further understand the novel by making you stop and think about what is being said.
One of the obvious yet major motifs in the novel was Old Majors theme song where he repeatedly calls out the beasts of different countries. Since this novel is an allegory, the motif is represented to be some sort of propaganda to show how the pigs remain in power by stating their leadership. Some of them consist of The Beasts of England, Comrade Napoleon, The Seven Rules of the Farm, the farmhouse, the idea of animalism throughout the novel, the windmill, as well as countless others.
