Should we be funding exploration of the depths of space when our very own planet hasn't been explored to the fullest? Should we being inhabiting the solar system and potentially harming it knowing how poorly we've taken care of Earth? "We are the only earthly creatures with the capacity to extend our influence beyond the 4 corners of the globe." so what should we do with this power? (Source E) Funds and ethics should be big factors when considering space exploration, but they're not big enough.
This is a very big concern for the United States. It showed that if we lost the Space Race and had more wars, that we would not be safe anymore. There could be a chance that America would be nuked or bombed. They would have access to space and have HUGE advantages.
As if this was not bad enough, there was more disparaging news: a cloud of some sort was floating above the spacecraft, leading to the assumption that an oxygen tank exploded.

2. What’s
1.) According to Lao-tzu, what must the ruler provide the people with if they are to be happy?
Selfishness. A personality trait that only bad people have. Incorrect. Selfishness is part of the nature of every living human being. Despite what all humans may believe selfishness is a part of all of us and is the driving force behind everything we do. In order to survive humans must be selfish and think of their own needs above other peoples. We must be selfish to our surrounding environment by using the resources essential to humans that our environment bears. Strangely enough it is often considered an insult to be called selfish.
Nothing Lasts forever. We are told that since a very young age. There is nothing in the world that can stand up to the test of time. Some deny this and desperately hold on to the idea that they will be the ones to prove this idea wrong. This only forstalls their fall and makes it all the grander. In a short story by the horror and romantic writer Edgar Allan Poe “The Fall of the House of Usher” one character is recognizing his own decay and tries desperately to avoid it. The two main characters, Usher and the unnamed friend of Usher who we read the story though. Ushers friend has been called by Usher, who he has not seen since childhood, to come to his house and try to cheer him up in his sickly days. Ushers friend spend the next days trying desperately to help his friend cheer up from his sickness and will bear witness to Usher’s sisters “death” and the eventual death of Usher himself. The theme that Poe focuses on throughout the story focus on the idea of decay, or more specifically the eventual death and decay of everything. Throughout the short story “The Fall of the House of Usher,” Edgar Allan Poe uses the literary Elements of setting and characterization to develop his theme of nothing lasting forever.
