2,271 satellites in space right now according to The Goddard Space Flight Center's lists. Satellites are helping astronauts discover new things and uncover mysteries. The first satellite that was put into orbit was about sixty years ago. Space exploration is a big debate right now. About half of the U.S population wants the money to go to another organization, rather than space, and the other half thinks the money that is being spent in space, is where it needs to be going. Space exploration is beneficial because NASA missions are not using as much of the U.S budget Americans think they are, and medical and health fields are becoming even more advanced through the NASA missions.
For many years humans have been exploring space to discover the unknown and fuel their curious and adventurous nature, but the decision of whether space exploration is worth the cost is strongly debated. Due to various arguments and evidence space exploration is strongly supported is proven to be worth the cost. Some of these reasons include space exploration being able to expand our knowledge and it being able to generate wealth. With these reasons the argument of whether space exploration is worth the risk can be easily decided.
It is impossible to stimulate our economy or to find new things in space without a space effort. The space exploration has only begun and it has only been happening for four decades so why stop something that only has truly begun.
To go to space, we have to buy everything our president owns 76 times ($230 billion dollars). Going to space would cost so much money, and that money can be used here on Earth. Also, there are many unknowns and health issues in the barren space of space. We should NOT go to Mars, it is a stupid decision.
The human imagination tends to fascinate over the anonymous discoveries and the unseen images of Space. However, we must control our desire to explore Space by putting the financial and the psychological impact ahead of us.
I believe it is worth to continue space exploration, I feel this way because there is so much to our galaxy to explore and eventually we will have to start colonizing other planets. I also feel that it is important that we learn about our galaxy since this galaxy
Have you ever thought about exploring space? In the text “From Packing For Mars” they discuss some reasons why we shouldn’t spend valuable resources. Even though some people think that we should spend our valuable resources, I think that we shouldn’t.
Space exploration funding has been drastically reduced since the conclusion of the Space Race. Even though the Space Race is no longer relevant, it has positively affected human civilization, and we should continue to invest in space exploration to continue this trend. The first and primary reason we should continue to work with space is to aid industries on earth. Most notable is the use of satellites for purposes such as commercial communications, the GPS system, and meteorology. The second reason is because humans have an inherent hunger for knowledge, and space funding helps us develop technology for seeing what’s beyond earth. Space probes such as New Horizons and telescopes such as the James Webb Telescope have expanded our knowledge
We shouldn't spend valuable resources on exploring space. Some people could argue differently but there is evidence to back this statement up. Like we could bring new problems to the U.S., it could threaten the life of the astronauts that go up to space and the government does not have
According to President Kennedy, the among the drawbacks of space travel is the sheer amount of money it requires. In his speech, he stated that “this year’s space budget is three times what it was in January 1961, and it is greater than the space budget of the previous eight years combined.” This shows that space travel is no cheap effort.
Mankind has always been fascinated with exploring the unknown. From sailing to distant lands to someday setting foot on other planets, the spirit of exploration is the same. Bur now with the current economic situation and the high cost of sending people to space, NASA is being looked at as a way to free up some much needed funds. Although, there is many problems here on planet Earth that need addressing, the benefits of space exploration far out weight the disadvantages. Space exploration has given us more advanced technology, advances in the medical field, and a boost to the economy and these facts cannot be disputed.
As humans, a necessary part of our psyche is exploration. However, numerous trials are confronted when it comes to space exploration. While it remains vital that humans explore this great expansion, one must consider the issues that occur. After all, what is more important, space exploration, or our continued existence?
The first reason, I think space exploration should not be a priority because while in space you can run out of needed supplies like most importantly food and water.
Billions of dollars go into space exploration projects every year. Some people feel that this money should be used to solve problems on Earth. All of the “NO” arguments come from people who seem to know nothing about space. First off, the most widely used argument that does not support space exploration is “We have too many problems on Earth, so why go into space?” This argument is definitely not appropriate. While there are many problems on Earth, a lot of them can be solved using the technologies that we develop for space exploration. For example, NASA helps on research into cancer and preventing, treating, and even curing it.
You hear a lot of people saying that space research is cool but it is typically a waste of money and valuable resources that could be used to benefit our own planet and the many problems that we have all over earth today. But I completely, one hundred percent agree on the further exploration of space for different reasons such as: we are living in a virtual age where everything is done with smart phones and computers and physical exploration is much needed. Second it can actually help the economy in multiple ways not just waste money. Lastly It also guarantees the development of good technology, not only with companies, but among the younger people who need to be inspired through the educational systems we have in America.
