The number of team members isn’t specified, so I will assume it is made up of the usual amount of people on a space mission, three. The team would consist of myself and my friends, Zak and Paige. Not only would they serve as entertainment and support through friendship, but they happen to be exceptionally intelligent as well. For the three additional people, I would bring a doctor, an environmentalist with a vast knowledge of the planet we’re going to inhabit, and chemist, as they would be extremely beneficial to safely colonizing the planet. Zak’s additional individuals would be a second doctor in case something happens the other doctor or if two is needed for a procedure, along with a mechanical engineer for any housing and machinery designs needed, and a botanist so we will have someone trained in growing plants in strange environments. The environmentalist could warn and prepare everyone for any strange environmental factors on the planet. The chemist could make sure nothing is toxic to the point of risking our health and could possibly fix it if needed. The two doctors are obviously a necessity, as we would have very little chances of surviving if any sicknesses or wounds occurred without them around to take care of it. The mechanical engineer could design and work on building any machinery or buildings we need. Our muscle could help assemble said machines and buildings in addition to being able to provide security. The botanist could find out what is able to be grown on the planet, so we would have food and a natural way to acquire oxygen if there is none on the planet. The therapist is there in case anyone needs them, and knowing the team members, they will likely be needed. Humans have dreamed of leaving the earth and traveling space for many years, and up to this day they have taken many steps in the right direction. Yet, with every new frontier they approach, new problems loom over the horizon. Some of these problems arise right here on Earth. Some of the issues have been resolved, such as escaping the forces of gravity to reach outer space. Should we be funding exploration of the depths of space when our very own planet hasn't been explored to the fullest? Should we being inhabiting the solar system and potentially harming it knowing how poorly we've taken care of Earth? "We are the only earthly creatures with the capacity to extend our influence beyond the 4 corners of the globe." so what should we do with this power? Have you heard of the “Space Race”? It all began when the Soviet Union sent the first artificial satellite “Sputnik 1” into space. After that the United States rushed to catch up with the Soviet Union’s technological advances, and the Space Race started. The Space Race finally ended in 1969, when we sent the first man to land on the moon. The Space Race had many impacts on the Cold War.

Selecting a team from the member profile to collaborate on a West Coast Transit marketing project took deep thought and consideration. Everyone brings strengths and weaknesses to the company. First, I choose Natalie. Natalie works well on a team, is positive and ambitious. She works well in tense situation which is needed for this high stress project. We as a human race are mentally programed to explore the unknown whether it is sneaking out into the woods behind your house as a child or going up into the depths of space. Curiosity is what allows us to think outside the box, and when we expand out of our comfort zones we discover things that help advance our race as a whole. There was once a time when space exploration was just a science fictional thought – humans were never expected to pass through Earth’s atmosphere. It all began during the Cold War, when different counties began competing with each other. I have been researching my future job and here is what I found. Becoming an astronaut is genuinely difficult on the grounds that they want you to at least have a bachelor's degree in engineering, biological science, physical science or mathematics. NASA wants people with at least three years of experience. You need an extremely well physical condition comparable to 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses. A blood pressure no more than 140/90 in a sitting position. You also need to have a height between 62 and 75 inches.
The space race was the event the began the interest in space exploration. It all started in 1957 during the Cold War, when there was tension between America and the Soviet Union. There was also new technology from the war. According to Murray (Date unknown) “Many people believed the nation that controlled the skies could win any war.”(para. 5). It’s cold up there. Cold and inhospitable. It is not easy, and it will take time. These are things the first humans in Africa must have thought of journeys northward. And yet, people still went. They colonized the globe in all its varied environments. When humans first bred dogs and horses, they did not do so to send them into unexplored land in our steed. We did not build crow’s nests on ships to observe and not go. Why is even a question whether humans should go to space? October 4, 1957: The Russia launched Sputnik into space. Thus began the seemingly-eternal battle for control of space exploration. Who would get the first man into space; to the Moon, to Mars? Everything that could be done by either country was being done to give the edge. It soon became obvious to all that neither country was going to back down from the challenge. However, a lot has changed since 1957, governments have slumped, privatized exploration has taken charge. . . what happened? Where is space exploration going? Where is the human race, today?

Space travel has become a growing event in the world and has assisted in advancing our knowledge as well as providing information about the solar system. As the human race continues to grow, the need for resources continues to grow as well and finding new places to inhabit as well as being able to find new resources is becoming more important. The issue that needs to be addressed currently is the air quality onboard the space habitats, stations and vehicles. There have been advancements in that section, but new challenges arise that have negative impacts on the crew. Despite these issues, however, there is not an immediate need to stop space exploration as long as these issues are being worked on.
