Space Travel Persuasive Essay

Humans obsess over the exploration of the unknown. The majority of our vast solar system remains unexplored. Most humans don’t have an idea what could be waiting for us outside of our atmosphere. Nonetheless, space exploration is not necessary unless our world is either perfect or destroyed. There is no need to throw away billions of dollars on space exploration missions when there are other necessities that need to be sought to first.

Space is something that we humans are never going to be able to comprehend and understand what it is exactly. But knowing that still is not going to stop us from trying to know as much about space as we possibly can. The Apollo missions took that step to reaching greater heights, and landing on our moon to know more about what it is and what is on it. These missions changed our look on space travel and what humans can accomplish if we put our minds to it.

The mysteries of space and ocean have always struck our attention. The question “what’s out there, what creatures live there, do water monsters and aliens exist, always pop up. However, could the risks become a barrier to our curiosity? I believe that major exploration could be a benefit for our society and our way of life. I think that major exploration could benefit us because we have a chance of finding resources, predicting the future of the planet, and provide us with advanced technology.

The concept of space exploration was first introduced to the American public in 1961 when President John F. Kennedy famously stood before congress and vowed that America would put a man on the moon “within the decade.” With hopes of defeating the Soviet Union in the “Space Race” and gaining a leg-up in the Cold War, NASA funding reached its all-time high in 1965-1966 when about four percent of the federal budget was devoted to exploring space. Since then however, funding dedicated to exploring space has nose-dived to about one-half of a percent of the federal budget (Tyson), with plans to cut that figure by an additional $260 million in 2017 (cite NASA funding cuts). Experts in the space-sciences field argue that increased funding in space exploration would re-ignite the American economy and return America to the scientific prominence it was once known for, while, on the other end of the spectrum, naysayers suggest that exploring space is an economic sink-hole that the United States can no longer afford to deposit to given its own earth-bound troubles.

While NASA and its partners have suffered continuing launch failures as of late, we can now hope to enter an era of renewed optimism in spaceflight. The transition of traditional facilities to commercial use connotes literal and new horizons. NASA unveiled the new name of Boeing’s commercial crew transportation spacecraft, dubbed the CST-100 Starliner, in addition to current plans to refit Kennedy Space Center for more continuous transport astronauts to and from the International Space Station.

With all the discoveries that NASA has allowed us to make, and our fight for a long-term survival plan I believe NASA and the space program should continue.

With the opportunities, knowledge, and reputation rising due to NASA discovering the depths of the void above us, space exploration is definitely worth the hard work. As time passes, exploring the darkness will become easier, safer, and more dependable to skyrocket the society forward. God made space for a reason, so NASA shouldn’t ignore it. Life without space exploration would be powerless, witless, and respectless. Space exploration wasn’t innovated for nothing, it was invented for success. John F. Kennedy didn’t decide to send astronauts to the moon for no reason. He did it for the country who leads exploration. The United States should without a doubt continue exploring the darkness people call

As humans, a necessary part of our psyche is exploration. However, numerous trials are confronted when it comes to space exploration. While it remains vital that humans explore this great expansion, one must consider the issues that occur. After all, what is more important, space exploration, or our continued existence?

So many adults and young people alike are in awe of the seemingly limitless skies that are made visible on a clear night. But while we stare in wonder, without the help of space-borne telescopes, we could only imagine what threats the cosmos has to offer.

Space, the final frontier as many like to call it. However we don't have access to intricate spaceships, and high tech space programs well ahead of their time. No. Space exploration has been at a slow crawl ever since the end of the space race in 1975, and since then Americans have lost all interest. Although, this doesn't mean Americans are at fault for the lack of progress in our galatic progress, rather it's more along the lines of miscommunication.

Some claim that space exploration should not be more important than people on earth. The claim is that there are more pressing matters that may need financial aid from the government. However, this is a claim that is made by people without proper knowledge of how many incredible things have been discovered and created by NASA’s technologies and the space

Many people wonder if space exploration is worth the huge cost. While it is expensive, funding space exploration has lead to many great achievements and discoveries. People do not believe that using the money for space exploration is good. Space programs have done so much good for the world and can continue doing these acts of kindness if people keep funding space exploration. The universe is a wonderful and magnificent place filled with stars, planets, nebulas, galaxies, and so on and whether people chose to keep exploring or not is completely up to them and the

Space exploration negatively affects human society, and space in many more ways than it does positively. The 15 U.S naval expeditions from 1840-1860 approached one quarter of the annual federal budget, by far exceeding even the Apollo commitment. The U.S should not fond space exploration because of the cost, the lives risked, and dangerous organisms coming to earth.

For many years humans have been exploring space to discover the unknown and fuel their curious and adventurous nature, but the decision of whether space exploration is worth the cost is strongly debated. Due to various arguments and evidence space exploration is strongly supported is proven to be worth the cost. Some of these reasons include space exploration being able to expand our knowledge and it being able to generate wealth. With these reasons the argument of whether space exploration is worth the risk can be easily decided.

Mankind has always been fascinated with exploring the unknown. From sailing to distant lands to someday setting foot on other planets, the spirit of exploration is the same. Bur now with the current economic situation and the high cost of sending people to space, NASA is being looked at as a way to free up some much needed funds. Although, there is many problems here on planet Earth that need addressing, the benefits of space exploration far out weight the disadvantages. Space exploration has given us more advanced technology, advances in the medical field, and a boost to the economy and these facts cannot be disputed.
