BG Clayton had time to piece together a plan, it would include the 19th Special Forces Group, the 184th Infantry Regiment (Airborne), the Marines out of Camp Pendleton which he already had buy-in from General Charkin and the Air Force at Travis and March Air Force Bases. This was outside of what the Branch Commanders had already planned as a response to Texas entering the war on the side of the SSA. The plan was a major reinforcement of Fort Benning, the 184th would jump into Benning. The 19th SF would HALO onto Lawson Army Airfield and secure it allowing for the Marines to be brought in. Once the Marines had landed they would take over the security of the airfield and then move the main force to fort Benning and its surrounding area.
The Special Operations Force (SOF) Imperatives prescribe key operational requirements that Special Forces Soldiers must incorporate into their mission planning and execution for the greatest chance at mission success. The Ugly American is a fictional book first published in 1958 that offers an insight to American arrogance, incompetence, and corruption, but bears a remarkable resemblance of how America stills thinks and functions abroad today. The book portrays characters serving as foreign dignitaries in Southeast Asia whom, for the most part, were grossly ineffective in their duties. A number of these characters served in key positions that could have made a difference in the struggle with communism had they incorporated the SOF

The U.S. Special Operations Teams are some of the toughest men in the entire world and are trained to endure the most extreme conditions in order to be properly prepared to serve and defend our country, The United States of America. There are three different branches of protection in The United States: the Navy, the Army, and the Air Force. Accordingly, each of these has its own tribute to the Special Operations Forces. The Navy contributes the Navy SEALs, the Air Force provides Air Force SOCOM, and the Army provides the Green Berets, Delta Force, and the Rangers. Each of these sectors is very selective and secretive. The SEALs are likely the most highly trained forces out of all of the Special Operations Units. SEAL stands for Sea, Air, and Land team. The SEALs must know how to do many different things. The SEALs are commandos, which is a soldier who is in the United States Special Operations who specializes in water landings, parachuting, and repelling down mountains. These commandos must also know how to take down enemies while in various places including underwater, in speedboats, helicopters, while parachuting, or by land espionage (Stanley). Their job is complicated because they must know how to do what the Air Force Units do such as parachuting, how to deal with explosives and hands on combat similar to that of the Army Units, along with the “Navy” part of the job which encompasses underwater missions and training. It is important to note that, the residents have the right to refuse the commander’s order, and remain at their place of residents, but the only consequence of that is, those that refuse to leave, if they are of legal fighting age, in accordance with the “Geneva convention” will be arrested and treated

Logistics and its tactical subset, combat service support (CSS), must be transformed from a landbased system based on depth and redundancy to a seabased system focused on speed and precision. The United States Marine Corps strategic move to Expeditionary Force 21 and reconnecting with the mindset of an expeditionary force-in-readiness focused on enhancing operational maneuver from the sea, ship to objective maneuver, and seabasing in concert with the nation’s defense strategy is requiring a versatile and flexible over the horizon (OTH) logistical support platform. With the United States Marine Corps future requirements for expeditionary operations a combined Aviation and Ground Combat Service Support (CSS) ship is required to assist in
