Between the nights of the 20th-24th of June, Special Purpose Group ‘Accardo’ spitted up in three groups led by Accardo, Martinsen, and Bauer. Fortunately for Action Andy and Chandler the Fair, their reserve group was already in full motion, thus allowing three subsequent actions to occur. In theory, according to their plans at the time, the two Nightingales believed that dividing the combined into three groups could allow them to achieve three separate goals, which they believe were loosely connected with each other. The group under Action Andy (consisting of all four members of the Rat Poison crew, Percival Richardson and the two MacDonald brothers) was responsible for providing assistance to the Elegant Pinball crew, as the latter seeks to
I agree with you that assessments in a group is essential to understand the functioning of the group members. Also, I believe that it is important to assess individual members as well as the group as a whole. As a group facilitator we must constantly gather pertinent information that will be used to achieve the individuals and groups goals. Assessing the group helps to make the group more cohesive and beneficially to the members. You made a great point that understanding the characteristics of the group members can help improve group participation. I do believe that if a member is not participating does not mean that they are not benefiting from the group. Also, having a member that monopolize the group does not they are
Interaction patterns throughout the group were definitely different peer to peer and each participant had different ways of interacting with one another. There were a few factors thrown in that influenced that interaction patterns. The relationship between the members was one of the main influences. These girls seemed to truly love each other and acted as though there were sisters, and their instructor Dominque was the mother. This was largely due to the amount of time that goes into the group and the time they spend together. The nature of their group goals was all similar as well, thus creating a steady bridge for the girls to progress on. The leadership within the group helped influence the interaction patterns as well. The dancers looked up to Dominque so much, so they were willing to do anything she said. The way they interacted with her was as though she was their role model, and truly someone they idealized. Since Dominique took on such a maternal role, she was able to provide both stern and playful group interaction influences. The size of the group also highly effected their interactions within the group because they were not a huge group. They had lots of
The following memo was developed through deep reflection on the necessary decisions which lead to determine what possible areas of knowledge would be of importance to be analyzed, and the diverse methods and instruments that supported the understanding of the phenomena observed in the areas to be further discussed. In this vein, as a group, we decided to select articles that discuss the Ethics of Care Theory as a paradigm for nursing education. The reasons of our choice were, first due to a general knowledge about Ethics of Care Theory and its relationship with education; and second, the field of nursing provided a neutral arena for our discussions. None of us is related to nursing or any health-related educational
1) During the Forming stage of group development, the guards were excited about accepting a fun summer job. It seemed like they struggled with their reasoning for accepting the job in the first place, so they used this as justification. They didn't know what they were getting into. That question was answered in the Storming stage when they were given their assignments and uniforms from Professor Zimbardo. This helped them understand their reason for being there, but didn't exactly explain what they should expect from the experience. The first couple days were boring, which made the guards feel skeptical that anything was going to happen. When inmate 1037 began acting out, the guards struggled with how to deal with the adversity. This is when roles began to develop.
Horst and Emily were speaking to each other at the household of Emily Ryan, located somewhere in northern Philadelphia. The date was the 1st of August, several days after Horst Brotzman’s acquittal, not to mention the fact that the First Phase of the RGA’s Sunday Morning Special called “We Will Never Forget Them,” had already reached a conclusion. In spite of this, many questions still remained unanswered, particularly in the case of the contents inside the safe of Horst’s former Floridian residence (which later became the personal headquarters of the Nightingales), the possible purpose behind the theft of such documents, and the
An important part of our learning and growing experience must stem from our ability to analyze and reflect upon the groups that we have been members in. This reflection can define our understanding of the weaknesses both in ourselves and in the others within our group; and it can help to shape the way that we act in future groups. Adjusting ourselves to compensate for our weaknesses, based upon an honest and thorough examination of our actions within a group setting, is one of most important thing for any person to do. It is only through this evaluation that we can improve ourselves and our interactions with others. This paper will examine a group that was required to make an important decision about adding a new member
Flying around the area where the ACP was said to located, safe from the possibility of losing control by the powers of Newton, the Nightingales noticed that the Torcher where Action Andy, Germania and McAlister was had detected the coordinates of Newton. As a result, they uploaded the coordinates to the ACP detectors on the three Ryanites, allowing them to know what the maximum distance they should be at was. Due to this, the three began to move closer, only stopping at safest distance
Each individual had very specific problems mentally, but together they helped each other function more rationally. They held each other in check. It is very obvious that they needed each other because as soon as one became separated from the group, his mental handicaps became very apparent.
One of the biggest issues women come across is the reference of "womenn should be a size two." This is a big issue for not just me but people all over the place. They expect people to be a certain size but what if you just cant achieve the size they want you to be. They reference tthese girls usually as models. I've never heard anyone say something bad about this group of people. This hurts everyones feeling and it makes me feel bad about myself because im not that skinny. Another real life reference group is the white privilege. I grew up in a good area where i lived and i was always put into that white privilege group. I dont like when people say that because i worked hard to make it to where i am now. People assume everything was handed
In this assignment, we will explore RFM segmentation, a technique used to group customers according to their aggregate purchase history with a company. We specifically look at how recently customers have purchased (R – recency), how often they have purchased
Mr. Payne was a no show, no call for IOP group today. Chrono was made. CCO was notified. OMNI stated that Mr. Payne is incarcerated due to positive UA for Methamphetamine.
The therapist started the session by welcoming everyone to the first group “together.” He continued by explaining the purpose of the group. The therapist broke the ice by stating that the first session is about “getting to know each other, to figure out why we’re here in the room so we can prepare for future meetings.” I like that the therapist placed emphasis on “we” instead of referring to the members, it is important to note that he is part of the process too. Noticeably, while providing members with information, his eyes moved from one member to another in the room. Eye-contact is an important non-verbal skill in group therapy because it keeps the group members engaged. Don’t get me wrong, most of the time it can be awkward or pressuring but in this video’s case all the members were staring right back at the therapist.
1. A formal role is a role that is assigned by a superior power in or outside of the group. Our group didn’t assign formal group roles. We all helped where needed. The closest thing to a formal role was the secretary who “takes minutes of meetings, prepares reports for further discussion and decision making, and reminds members of past actions that may have been forgotten” (145). I always took the group minutes. It wasn’t something decided upon by the group. Moreover, I just had pen and paper out the first time and thus took on the role every other time afterward.
We have met the third group in the spot called ‘the present box’ and it was the largest group on that night with 2 women and 8 men between the ages of 19 and 24. The gathering time differs among the group; there were new comers at one o’clock in the early morning, but most of the group began their gathering in about 10 o’clock.
The others had just left, headed home for the night, but Leland elected to stay and spend the evening with Phillip, Claire, and Nora at Nora’s Grandma Helen’s place. Given his insight into the volunteers’ facilities, he had felt it essential to be able to help answer any of Phillip’s questions that might arise as his mind came to grips with being cast into this strange new world. And, he was right, because once Phillip finished bringing up all the pizza in which he’d been warned several times to take it easy on—after that being his third bout of nausea for the day, his feeling somewhat better came with a litany of new questions for Leland and his friends.
