3,800,000, the number of concussions in 2012 reported. In a season of sports 1 in 5 high school athletes will get a concussion. A concussion is a head injury where when you fall of hit something or someone your brain will hit your skull. With no visible signs unless you pass out or forget even getting hit, you might not even know if you have a concussion. From personal experience it can give you headaches and you to feel sick more around too much. But most of the time after time your brain will heal. There can be long lasting problems in some cases like having a hard time moving, learning, and even speaking. Then once you get one concussion it a lot easier to get another one. Concussions are increasing from 2002 to 2012 they have doubled.
