Population control is at its highest demand in all of history. We have a growing population and limited resources. Droughts, oil shortage, artificial food to keep up are just a few to name. Scientist debate whether we will be able to civilize onto another planet in our future. While moving to a new planet is a great idea, I think it’s a better idea to control the growth of civilization and the consumption of our resources on our own planet first. Besides, who needs seven kids in their family anyway? Why do we need to keep people who have lost all quality of life alive, while they continue to use up resources?
We have limited resources and an over populated planet that shows no sign of slowing down. While Deforestation has slowed down, we are still burning through our tress too fast for our planet to keep up. We have mass agriculture growth, but our food is grown with chemicals that are being found to create more problems than we can keep up with. We’ve had several different droughts all over the world and some places still don’t even have clean water access. We seem to continue to find ways to slow down our own destruction, but these solutions seem to only make matters worse in the long run. We are an unstable planet that fixes one problem by creating a new one. We have too many people on this planet that take more than the earth must offer and eventually our planet will no longer be able to provide and we are not yet to the point where we can pick up and move on to the
the population is said to reach 9 billion by 2050. The overpopulation of humans is causing destructive impacts on the environment and a high demand for resources. One destructive impact would be climate change because of the exceeding rate of humans, causing pollution in the air. While the Earth is having a tough time sustaining particular resources, the high demand causes the earth to force to get its nonrenewable resources. Overpopulation can lead to dangerous impacts of pollution, depleted resources, habitat loss, etc. Overpopulation is a controversial topic. While there are those who are not paying attention to its effects, the world is displaying its resources will soon disappear due to the depletion of nonrenewable resources such as water, oil, and soil. Addressing the problems and concerns of overpopulation now, can help save the lives of individuals in the future, LITERALLY!
Population Growth is an issue that exists in today’s world that needs to be confronted before it becomes out of hand. The population itself has reached overwhelming numbers making it a problem that could turn to be dangerous. The amount of humans that the earth can support or the carrying capacity is slowly rising but at a much slower rate than the population growth rate. The increasing growth rate has its negative effects environmentally, agriculturally, socially, and economically and also has its positive effects nationally, and economically. The government is brainstorming and trying to come up with ways to decrease
Over population is an extremely serious problem facing the world today. According to an article from Newsweek in Oct. 2009 called “Where do babies come from?”, today’s world population has reached over 6.6 billion people. Also the article mentioned that in 2009 57.4% of all new born babies who were born this year came from Asia alone. This is an issue because over population can lead to hasty consumption of resources. China who has one of the largest population in the world with over 1.3 billion people, has taken a stance against over population.
In order for the Earth to sustain human life, the population needs to be controlled. There
Population in the world is growing rapidly and civilians don’t realize the consequences of having too many people in this world. Just a few of the consequences are, homeless people, food shortages, and unemployment. With an increase of people, resources are quickly being used up. Should America try to mimic China’s population control law that couples are only allowed up to two children? Population control will help the world because it will eliminate food shortages, reduce the amount of trash, and stabilize the economy.
Have you ever wondered what the answer to world problems is? World population control is one option, but it is not a good one. Some say that it would help improve life, and would help bring balance to the world. However, I believe that population control would not truly help anyone. World population control is not the answer to world problems, for it would take away human life, the right to have kids, and in the long run would not help any living thing.
The world is growing at an extremely fast rate which will lead to an unhealthy place for people to live in. If current trends persist, there will be 2.5 billion more people on the planet by mid-century. It will be difficult to feed that many people. There are many problems with population growth and the laws associated with it, but there are also ways to counteract these issues. By spreading awareness, creating laws, and more family planning we can prevent population from growing out of control.
The idea of population control is one that ignites people to talk about and explore. Some countries have implemented population control for quite some time now. There are many attributes that go against the argument, but there are also some potential positives that could come from it. No matter what religion or background people come from, each person has their own view on if population control is right or wrong. Many people choose to see certain positives over the negatives while others look at things the other way around. One of biggest and controversial topics within population control is issues of the environment.
Overpopulation needs to stop before the world runs out of run out of resources that the everybody need to survive. The first step is to begin talking candidly about the issues. Overpopulation cannot continue to be the problem that dares not speak its name. Humans are not just fouling their nest, but crowding it beyond its capacity. Only when both problems are taken seriously and become part of respectable discourse will we be able to move ahead on the steps necessary to deal with the self-destructive way we are treating our
The increased population of the planet is putting pressure on vulnerable natural resources such as food and water supplies. We have seen great benefits from science and technology, but these new technologies have altered consequences for the planet. We, as people, are the collective nervous system of the planet. Just like the frog who jumps in the warm water and never notices the water is getting hotter and hotter until it boils and he is a goner, the time will come when we will wish that we had connected the dots and paid attention to the signs a little
Overpopulation is a growing problem. If our population continues to grow, future generations will not have a livable environment. However, there are arguments on whether population control is humane or a violation of human rights. Population control is necessary, with no doubt about it. Our Birth control is a better way to keep our population sustainable than abortion because of the health risks to women, the immorality of abortion, and the considerable financial differences of the two methods.
The earth as we know it is spiraling towards extinction and the main enemy is overpopulation. Because of the increase in humans and their innate ability to destroy what its’ resources we could possibly lose our world as we know it. The balance in our living systems versus the population is not equal. We in America tend to live for right now, with little or no regard for our future. Can we change? What must we do to change? Let us
The Earth is dying. That is what environmentalists say all the time today. It shows up on the news now and then but proceeds to quickly disappear from people’s thoughts and minds. The experts warn and warn, but no one seems to listen. People are more concerned with cat videos than with the health of the one habitable planet they have. From a young age, people are told to think about the future, theirs, and this planet’s. Yet only a few people really do and actually care. The human population has grown uninhibited around the world and must decrease if the planet is to stay habitable.
Our planet right now is not in a good shape. There is a lot of problems going on and a lot of them there is nothing that we can do about it. But one that we can actually do something about is world hunger. This problem has existed since the beginning of our society and not a lot have changed since. There is enough for everyone in the world and we don't do anything about it.
Imagine a world where there isn't enough clean water to drink and there isn't ample food to eat. We have used up most of the resources that we require to survive. What little that is left is so polluted that it is not fit to be used. Is this our future? What are we doing to keep this from happening? We recycle, we ride our bikes, we compost, but is this enough? It is up to us to find a cure to the ailment that is destroying our planet. We only have one Earth to sustain the entire human race for the rest of its existence. Will we be find a way to continue our survival, or will we be the cause of our own destruction? Only time will tell, but this time may be upon us sooner than we imagine if we do not start
