How they get these people to keep buying these shoes is ethos and pathos. What I mean by that is the company uses superstars athletes to lures these young audiences or sneakerhead to buy these shoes or celebrities would wear certain sneakers and people would want to have or look like them.

Everyday, people are walking past the State Gymnasium to go to their classes, to catch the bus, or to workout. Without looking at their surroundings, most of them fail to realize that they are missing out at a beautiful, powerful, impressive display of art. This amazing embodiment to Iowa State is called the Three Athletes. The Three Athletes exhibits three different sports, a football player, a track runner, and a basketball player. Each sport is equally significant to the other. By exploring its history, its importance, and its appropriateness as a piece of art on the Iowa State’s campus, the Three Athletes will no longer be unnoticed.

Donald Delahaye, a kicker for UCF you may have heard of him. Lost his NCAA eligibility for making and profiting of his YouTube videos. Another name you may know LiAngelo Ball. Couldn’t profit or promote his family made business of Big Baller Brand (BBB) because of NCAA eligibility rules. When it comes to wanting a career in sports, there are multiple professions and paths that lead to your destination. However, of all the options, you better expect to work hard while keeping an open mind if you want to succeed in reaching your goal.

Personal Heroes and Villains in Sports Ricardo Kaka, Zindine Zidane, these are the names of two legendary soccer players who represent the polarized sides of a very diverse spectrum of player attitudes, behaviors, and perspectives. Each player demonstrates a very high level of skill and determination that has brought them fans from across the globe, however one has conducted himself to a higher standard following respect and demonstrating fairness and honorable behaviors, whereas the other has acted disgracefully on multiple occasions and has sealed himself into the infamous side of the history books. These ideals must be reviewed and analyzed in order to understand what we have become as audiences, and what we venerate in society. Will we promote ethics or immorality? I believe these reflections can reveal a great sum about how we conduct ourselves and how we truly regard ethics in sports.

In the U.S., on average, 24 schools make over 100 million dollars off NCAA sports per year. According to the NCAA rules & regulations…”student athletes may not be paid for the use of their image or likeness or they would forfeit their amateur status (commercials, endorsing their own products) and their collegiate eligibility could be affected”. Along with that, no athlete is paid for the athletic success they bring to their school. College athletes should be paid, in order to avoid exploitation that takes place when Universities profit, but fail to compensate the student athlete.

Greatness in sports is a status that only very few reach, however to be labeled the greatest athlete of all time is for that one soul individual who excels at all aspects of the game and exceeds every other player in that sport. In my exploratory essay I established what makes an athlete the greatest athlete of all time. In the following paragraph I am going to summarize what makes an athlete the greatest athlete of all time. For the sake of the argument to follow I am going to stick with just the NFL. When I look at the NFL one name comes to mind when thinking about the greatest NFL player of all time. His name is Tom Brady. Tom Brady is the greatest of all time.

In the 1970s the NBA was a parity it had all players to be treated equally. The 70s had a mixture of great players that were striving to be one of the best and they did accomplish that by becoming great in their respected teams. All decades past and present have their teams. The 1950s had the Minneapolis Lakers dominating most of that decade. The 1960s had been dominated by the Boston Celtics led by the great Bill Russell winning eleven championships with the Celtics. The 80s was dominated by two dynasties the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics with the Lakers coming up top on most of them. The 1990s the Bulls dominated most of it. It was led by the G.O.A.T himself Michael Jordan. In the present time the NBA is being dominated by the Golden State Warriors led by a group with Steph, Klay, Kevin, and Draymond. The 1970s didn’t really have any team to dominate that decade it was very well balanced their were 8 teams that came out victorious in that decade. There was no Back-to-Back champions that decade and it was most by any decade.

Many Colleges have won big sports competitions and got a lot of revenue from winning those competitions. March Madness - with, biggest college tournament in the country. If you win March Madness you win a bundle of money and because you're in it you produce money from tv rights, talking billions of dollars. These players make the college they play for a lot of money. College players putting in all their heart to win while still studying and focusing on their education, the players not sleeping some nights to study. Should they get paid? College athletes should get paid because colleges make high revenue from sports, they put in all their heart in it and still focus on their education, and lastly how they treat their players are

The 1920’s was an era of role models and great heroes. This period was known as “The Golden Age” of sports. This was a time where Americans wanted to put the memory of the World War I in the past and appreciate life. It began with the Black Sox scandal of 1919 continuing with historic record breaking athletes. The introduction of radio made is easier for fans to follow their favorite teams.
