I have always had a passion for sports from a young age whether it is participating or learning the biomechanics of how sport affects our bodies. At GCSE, I was able to gain understanding of not only the physical side of PE but also the theory which sparked my interest in sports therapy, this was then continued throughout my A level studies.
Studying my A levels has increased my eagerness to study Sport Science. In Biology, I find studying energy systems and how the body reacts to changes such as an increase in movement particularly interesting. In Chemistry, I'm interested in how chemicals in drinks or food can react and improve or worsen our health and learning about reactions within the human body. In PE I enjoy learning aspects like attitudes and how psychology affects performance and how to fuel the body to achieve the best results in competition.

I also help to coach the younger netball team where I motivate and encourage children aged 7-14 to get involved. I often have to create my own drills and present them to the children in a way they can learn and understand which has developed my communication skills. I also gained C award in Netball Umpiring where I took a course in order to fully know and understand the rules and be able to officiate junior games.
