I should represent St. Jerome Catholic School at the Arlington Wreath Laying Ceremony for various reasons. These reasons define me both as a student and person. They describe my main qualities that have made me the person I am today. Without these qualities, I would undoubtedly be different. These qualities are part of who I am. I chose these reasons based on certain qualities and behaviors of mine. I am a good student with good grades and behavior. Qualities of mine include being a hardworker and having the determination to finish the task at hand. When I don’t understand the material, I ask others; classmates, teachers, or other adults for help. I don’t give up easily and try my hardest to do the task correctly. Outside of school, such as at home, I also demonstrate these qualities; for example, with chores. Another quality I possess is respect.
I am respectful of other people’s property and of others around me. People have also come to respect me because I am responsible, trustworthy, and honest. I also try to be kind, patient, and understanding to others, because you never know what is going on in their life. Your attitude may affect them in a negative way, causing them to feel negatively. Patience and understanding are especially important

Jerome Catholic School. Being a part of the Arlington Wreath Laying Ceremony is a very important role, one to be taken seriously. It is something special; to pay respects to those who have died protecting this country so this nation may continue to grow. To disrespect this shows that you don’t understand or care about the enormity of this and how it has affected and still affects all of us. It is an honor to do this and you should respect that and uphold that honor. If I were chosen for this honor, I would do exactly that. This is why I believe I should represent St. Jerome Catholic School at the Arlington Wreath Laying
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
“I think one of the most important lessons we teach in JROTC is importance of service. And not just military service, but service… giving back to our school, our city, our community, our state our country, that’s given so much for us”
I am a motivated student, especially when it comes to science and math subjects. I will be attentive at all times, and I will be respectful of my peers and instructors. I will cooperate with others together and analyze data. I will complete all of my assignments with enthusiasm, as they will be related to subjects I
Volunteers as a Veterans and Americans Citizen together we build this Corps with all our hearts . Were an Honor Guard to providing the Military Honor Guard ceremony for our local veterans and fallen soldiers. We have seen many flags covered casket and get ready to entomb under ground. Once ,We all witness and emotion when we saw the young son was crying at his father
I highly value integrity; I am honest, trustworthy, dependable, responsible, and faithful. I do not complain or argue with others, but rather I sit down and listen to their concerns. I am extremely polite and treat everyone I meet with the highest degree of courtesy and respect. I am a hard worker and I always put forth my best effort. I stay away from bad influences and choose my close friends carefully. I am a stickler for rules and have never once gotten into trouble at school or with the law. I treat others with the utmost respect because the Bible clearly states to “do to others as you would have them do unto you.” My morals and ethics are directly in line with the teachings of scripture, so I look down upon academic dishonesty, taking part in dangerous activities such as drugs and alcohol, and disrespecting others. I strongly believe in perseverance and never giving up, no matter how hopeless the situation may seem, and in never losing faith in your family, your friends, and, most importantly, God because you can always rely on them in the darkest of times to restore your
St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School is situated in the suburb of Algester. The suburb itself is approximately 40 minutes drive from the city and is surrounded by old and new land releases in suburbs like Calamvale, Stretton and Parkinson. St Stephen’s is currently in its eleventh year of operation and in that time has seen only two principals. In 2015, a new principal commenced at the school, after the previous foundational principal, retired. Another change to the leadership team was that of Assistant to the Principal Administration, who left to go on maternity leave for twelve months. A foundational staff member replaced her, for that period of leave. The Administration team is male dominated, with a male in the
Initially, St. Timothy Parish was designated a parish in 1969, by the Bishop of Richmond, John J. Russell. Simultaneously, Fr. Robert E. Nudd was appointed the first pastor. He served until 1978, when Fr. R. Roy Cosby succeeded him as pastor of St. Timothy Church. Thereafter, Fr. Cosby had a vision to build a school and make a Catholic education available for the children of the parish. Subsequently, in 1980, construction began on the Fr. Nudd Hall. It consisted of eight classrooms, three offices, storage, a gym/social hall, and a professional kitchen. At the outset, Mrs. Valatka was named principal, and interestingly, she was in the unique position of being the first lay principal in the diocese. The building was completed in 1981, and
When I was a freshman, I shared a homeroom with nineteen other freshmen students and six seniors. Those seniors were known as “Bomber Pilots”, whose purpose was to mentor freshman students and demonstrate how to succeed at St. Xavier High School. The significant impact that my bomber pilots had on me, and the way in which I looked up to them, started my aspirations to do the same for other students. In that same year, I was nominated to be an “Ambassador” whose primary duties are to show interested 8th graders around the school and explain all of the advantages of becoming a St. Xavier student . My Sophomore year I was a tour guide at the St. X open house for families who wished to be better informed about the school’s academic and extracurricular
If I would have the opportunity to lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown would be such an amazing opportunity. Laying the wreath would mean so much to me because I've had so many family members involved in the military at one time or another, including my great grandpa who was a sergeant in the North Korean War. Representing the school by laying the wreath for the whole nation to see would be the opportunity of a lifetime. I have always dreamed of being a leader in the class by doing something big for everyone to see. Being one of the representatives would be a huge honor. Being a representative would show the teachers and the community that there
And thought. And pondered. And then I thought some more about those who fought for or impacted my country in some way. This causes me to ask the question,”What is my responsibility to America?” I have seen these monuments first-hand, but many haven’t and won’t. They can’t be inspired by them like I am. That’s what I can do. I can remind them of the warriors that led the way for freedom of people of all nations. And the founding fathers who brought about a vote for our citizens. For the people who made this country great, I must uphold the legacy of their bravery and valor. Helping the future generations to remember is not just telling them about the people and showing them their monuments, I must also uphold the legacy of their laws of
Having taken a year off from a history class of any kind, I thought it was time to return to taking history as a junior. What followed was a fruitful year in AP U.S. History (APUSH), having never received below an A for each grading period. Thriving in APUSH left me with a desire to further my interest in U.S. history and government, and I quickly joined Lake Central’s History Club. Focused on volunteer work and preserving U.S. history, History Club is given the honor of designing and organizing the yearly Veterans’ Day ceremony. While hosting the event, club members hear the brave stories of veterans as they are treated to a bountiful breakfast. Still not fully satisfied with fulfilling my interests in U.S. history and government, I applied
During my junior year at Santa Teresa High School, I was in a class the required us to volunteer at selected locations and I had decided that I would volunteer at Edenvale Elementary. I was designated to a second grade classroom where I would be assigned to work with five students who were falling behind in the class. There was one student from that group that had a major impact on my decision of becoming a teacher; for his privacy I will call him Jeremiah. He is a student who has trouble at home, often absent or late to class, and has difficulty with reading and writing. One day I was grading papers for the teacher and Jeremiah was having a rough time understanding what his assignment in class was. He approached his teacher and asked for help,
I am asking Sue Heck, Beth Jones, Angela Dennis, and Ralph Voit to coordinate a field trip to whatever school we choose to go to . We can’t take everyone, but John is willing to take a small group from the team. That being said, we CAN NOT use the January in-service day to do this. Talk amongst yourselves and try to establish a date that works best for everyone. I cc’d Sherry Milchick on this email so you have her contact information. Work with her to identify 1 or 2 schools that make sense to visit. We will likely have to get you subs for the day you choose to
Respect In Different Examples Respect to me is very important. It shows that you have manners when you’re respectful. Being respectful to other people is the most important form of respect. You need to respect the way people live and the things they believe in. This is very important to respect other people and being all around nice to them.
“Why I would be honored to help lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns”. There is nothing more important to the guards than to stand there 24/7 and make sure nothing happened to the tombs. They work extremely well at their job and execute it perfectly. Seeing how important their job is to them touches me. I think that anyone who is given that opportunity should do it with respect, not only because you are laying a wreath for something that is extremely important to the United States, but you are showing your respect for the Country and all of the men and women who have sacrificed their lives to protect us. I would love to do this not only just because it is a cool opportunity, but it is an extremely important site to the people of the
