The study was conducted using a qualitative research method. The data was gathered from the St. Mary’s Medical Center's website, Palm Beach State College library database and Lantana Branch Public Library. Additionally, the financial leverage is high while the working capital is negative due to high borrowing rates. What is our most important service? To provide unrelenting healthcare excellence to our community and client base.
The computer world is not always perfect; there is bound to be mistakes and some may be costlier than others. There is always room for improvement as well as errors. There are a lot of examples of these costly mistakes but I am going to cover three. First example, in February of 2003, St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital Center in Michigan went through a management system glitch that cost the lives of 8,500 patients. Not literally. All the patients that were “dead” according to the system, were very much alive and they all received notice of their death. They had just completed an upgrade of their patient-management system that resulted in a mapping error. A code of “20” meant expired and a code of “01” meant discharged. The code of “20” was sent to all

We can treat a patient with a variety of underlying medical conditions, from different cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic classes. However, there are a couple of common characteristics that our patients share. Most of the lymphedema patients are suffering from either diabetes, venous insufficiency, morbid obesity, or any type of cancer, such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, multiple melanoma, or lymphoma. Our patients are usually 60-year-old or older, Caucasian, and live 10-20 minutes away from the outpatient clinic. Most of them have some sort of family support either from their spouses or children. Also, the majority of our patients are religious and attend church on a regular basis. In addition, 99% of our patients are not familiar with the lymphedema diagnosis and require extensive education regarding this
