I was hired to make a plan to build a new bridge high enough to avoid flooding in all, but most severe conditions. My job is to prepare a stage estimate using the information, and data I have collected. I have collected my data and information from the United States Geological Survey (USGS). I will state my stage estimate and describe the procedure I used. The data I have collected was based on the stage height of the Tioga River from the USGS data base. The data base showed the peak of stream flow and the discharge in cubic feet per second, and also on the scatter plot I have provided shows the stream flow and discharge in cubic feet per second. The discharge stayed mostly in between 6-15 cubic feet, which means it is at a good amount most
The set used for Vernon God Little was highly symbolic and simplistic; when we walked into the theatre we could visually see that there were flowers, cards and memorable items attached on the audiences seats above our heads, which already created a sombre atmosphere around the theatre.
Even though there is the existence of many cultures in the ancient world, the Greeks and the Romans had the most importance on American and European civilization. Ancient Greek and Roman civilization have made many lasting benefactions to western civilization. Benefactions such as law, religion, sports, and trade are current in western civilization because of Greece and Rome. Their contrasting perspectives rest primarily upon political systems and engineering progress, but there are also several limited dissimilarities that individualize these two societies.
The Germans used propaganda to make Jews look bad. They did this because Hitler did not like them and he got people to like his ideas, therefore people where so desperate to get out of the way life was then, so when Hitler said he could fix Germany many people liked him and the way to fix Germany was to get rid of the Jews. So they had many ways of using propaganda and they did it every will along with that they many methods they used to make kids and adults and kids think oh Jews bad they need to go. So this paper is how Germany used propaganda to make people think that Jews are bad. Along with how propaganda effect Eva Abraham.

A dagger drips with the blood of a king, and a crown is taken by unfaithful hands. Macbeth himself, is initially loyal to King Duncan and a hero on the battlefield. When Macbeth encounters the Witches, it gives him a strong sense of ambition. Even though his wife Lady Macbeth manipulated the manhood of Macbeth, and the Witches teased predictions, it is ultimately Macbeth who has carried out the murder of King Duncan. This essay will argue that Macbeth is influenced by his desire for power and being ambitious led to the action, for he is the one to blame for Duncan’s murder.
Specific requirements of the project included a thorough review and comparison of floodplain delineations with existing FEMA flood hazard zones, high water marks and other flooding information, and appropriateness of the rainfall events to project the floodplain
“Audiences today want a real experience in their live performance, because they can get great script based entertainment at home, through various new media sources. Traditional theatre, which appeals on a mental, and hopefully also emotional level, has not been enough to compete with other media, and audiences have been declining. Physical theatre, by contrast appeals to the audience on a physical and emotional level, providing a much more immediate experience than traditional theatre” ~ (Artmedia Publishing in Zen Zen Zo’s “The Tempest” Teacher’s Notes)
There are so many things I love about each of the theorist that it is hard to narrow it down. Depending on the age group of my students would determine which theorist I used more. If I was teaching strictly infants I would use Erikson’s stage theory much more than say in a toddler or preschool classroom. If I had to pick I would say that the two theorists that I identified with the most are Vygotsky and Piaget. I love that Vygotsky theory that children learn more when in groups. I also love his idea of scaffolding which gives children the opportunity to advance by adjusting the level of support needed. The reason I love Piaget is his theory that children learn best by exploring and learning hands on. Because Vygotsky believed in everything
The lack of flood management measures and adequate conveyance capacity of the existing drainage system regularly caused flooding in the heavily urbanized areas. Streams Tech personnel installed hydro-meteorological equipment to collect data; processed an extensive array of satellite-based rainfall, topographic, and collected data in GIS; and expeditiously developed stormwater models using GeoSWMM and XPSWMM for the 50 square mile area. We assessed different flood control options, including cascaded detention ponds, lot-level storage facilities, restoration of natural watercourses, changes to land use planning, replacement of bridges and culverts, and relocation of settlements in the floodplains, and recommended effective measures to mitigate the flood risks.
On November 22, 2015 I went to the Broward Center for The Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to see the musical: Newsies; choreographed by Christopher Gattelli and Lou Castro. The style of dance that appeared to be most evident to me was contemporary musical theatre along with some tap. In terms of technique, I noticed they really used their plie to help launch them into all of their jumps and leaps; this is something I noticed the most in the fight scene. After seeing their usage of plie, I thought of when you said, “Always think upwards” in class because even when they were plie-ing it still looked like an upward motion because it launched straight into those high leaps. I also noticed their portdebra was similar to the loose, sporty
With more tourist taking huge interest in cultural and indigenous/ aboriginal tourism, many places are trying to stage authenticity. Staged authenticity is when a host community take something such as a person, place or thing and recreate it into something that can reflect the traditional values and customs of the locals. In a simpler term, it means the staging of local culture to create the impression of authenticity for a tourist
Cole wishes he could not have wanted to just go home and play xbox, because he took the day for granted and did not care much about his new baby cousin.
The fine art concert I went to was an amazing experience. I was always part of a fine art concert and been participating since elementary school through High School. Attending the college version of fine art was different. It was an eye opening movement. All the talented students coming to together and presenting their talents. The two different high schooners Northwest and Lumen Christi presented. While lumen Christi performed six songs and Northwest High School performed two. The students had a brilliantly talented that they showed off in front of hundreds of people. Which is pretty encouraging and breath taking.
The stage is dark, and not a word is spoken in anticipation for the performance about to be given. A group of actors stroll into the slowly growing lights and begin reciting lines with near pinpoint accuracy. Suddenly the the lights cut out while a mix of confusion and terror spreads over the entire auditorium, and after several seconds that seem to last minutes the lights return and the show progresses, with my feelings towards the show ruined. This is not the retelling of an audience member’s Saturday entertainment, but the memory of myself as a young and inexperienced stage manager learning one of the hardest lessons of calling the shots, that being that no show is without problems. The experience of stage managing has allowed me to gain an in depth understanding of working with people and how to work under the pressure of potentially hundreds watching.
