Feeling unsatisfied with your life or unhappy because you thought that at this point of your life you would be working in a career that you truly enjoyed is not the best feeling. But then again you can’t expect change when you’re not doing anything to change it. Sometime all you need is a that moment to stimulate the decision to make a change. Especially when you have that feeling in the back of your mind, you basically already made the decision to change. All you need is that moment of reassurance.

Jessica was very knowledgeable about her agency or hospital. She may have not remember her agency’s mission statement from work from word, but who can. However, she was able to pinpoint the importance of the mission statement, which was kindness. She understands what her role in the hospital and was able to provide how the hospital runs. For example, the hospital is a smaller hospital in an more urban area and she can only provide so much services for the client and the rest she has to refer her clients to bigger hospital or to other agency for treatment and resources. She knows that the majority of the people seeking treatment at the hospital are people who have Medicaid or Medi-cal so she needs to keep up with policies regarding their healthcare provider. Overall she knows what her agency mission and goals are, she understands who her clients are and she has knowledge and resources to help provide for her clients and lastly she has the passion and determination to continue working in a medical setting.
Before being introduced into the medical field, I had always seen myself as an engineer. Growing up I was fascinated by how everything worked. When something would break down I would be the first with a screw driver in my hand ready to take it apart. Of course being at such a young age, I would often worsen the situation than fix it, but the thrill and excitement from fixing a broken object meant the world to me. I thought becoming an engineer was my lifelong passion.
My name is Lititia Woods, but I prefer going by Tia. I have attended college for Cosmetology and Medical Assistant in the past. I currently do not hold any degrees, and this one will be my first. I have prior sales manager experience in the lease-to-own business, and look forward to managing a business of my own. I'm excited about achieving my goals, by attending Bethel
I come from a small village in Pakistan which is an underprivilded community with limited resources. Seeing the difficulties people had to go through to receieve medical care was originally my motivation to choose the pre-medical track. I have always wanted to provide help to the underprividleged because I have closely seen the lack of medical resources that many third world counries have, which results in pateints not given proper medical care. Their minor sympoms are not given attention to, resulting in high rates of critical illnesses. I hope to apply my skills and experiences by providing hands-on care. By volunteering as a medical assistant, I hope to make a small difference in both the patients' and the medical professionals' lives. I
I believe ASMSA is the right place for me to continue my studies because I believe that I will excel there. I am interested in learning some things that my current school does not offer as a course. ASMSA will offer me more opportunities to do things outside of school and in school that will prepare me for my time in college and after college. I want to be able to get up for school and be excited about what I will be doing that day, and I believe that ASMSA will provide me with this opportunity. I think that the school is the right fit for me and my learning style because I feel as if I need to be more advanced and learning things that I cannot at my current school. ASMSA will help me improve my skills and help me develop new ones in the two years that I will attend. I believe that this school will help me grow academically and socially.
As a graduate of Heald college in Concord California, I have excelled through the academic curriculum for the two years that I have spent my commitment and dedication to earn the title as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. The phrase, “why are you going to be a really good medical assistant?” Well, I don’t see myself as a really good medical assistant. I see myself as an individual who is devoted into the medical field which is a passion that I see fit in my line of duty. I feel that being a really good medical assistant does not define who they really are as a person in the medical work force. The phrase really good as I see it is a person who knows how the do the job but does not give any aspect of the passion or the need to learn more.
Currently I am a volunteer care giving assistant to a young family who's father has stage four cancer. At the times when the parents of this family have to take trips to Indianapolis for treatment they will call me. My job is to look after their two children while they are unable too. I consider my main job to be easing the minds of the parents, I want them to know that their children are in good hands so they do not have to worry about anything more than what they already are.
Based on conversations with a number of physicians, I decided that it would be best for me to gain more experience working directly with patients prior to beginning medical school. Therefore, I obtained my EMT certification and began working and volunteering in a number of different cities. Each shift, I respond to a number of calls ranging from transporting patients and providing emergency care to the sick and injured. I identify and treat the patients concerns and relay important patient information to physicians and nurses. I am developing clinical intuition, learning the necessity of teamwork in medical settings, and am gaining experience being the primary care provider. As each paramedic, nurse, and doctor has their own style and
As freshman in High School my eyes were wide at all the possibilities that were laid in front of me in a new building with so many new people. I tried my hand at everything, from sports to art and from leadership roles to group work and everything in between. While I enjoyed playing sports and expressing myself creatively, those were just outlets, not what I was truly passionate about. In high school I found niche, my passion; learning and the sciences. It's what I am good at and it's what I love. I've taken so many classes in High School, but the ones that have interested me the most were Anatomy, Biology, Psychology, and Sociology. I have been very passionate about learning why people do what they do. In life and in education I always find myself wondering and asking “why”. To blame it on my curiosity would be reasonable but I don't plan on stopping my asking without a sufficient answer. This is why I will finish my schooling to become a Physician's Assistant focused in psychology. To learn to answer my own questions about the complex human mind and help people answer their's is my goal. However, with my always wondering personality, the occupation of Physician's Assistant suits me well. If I become
After graduating college, I took a few years off to financially support my siblings back home in Kenya and care for my grandmother. I worked as a mentor and a tutor for an after school program at African Community Economic and Development of New England (ACEDONE). In addition, I worked in different departments within Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). I worked as a patient services coordinator for the orthopedics department, and processed specimens and requests for histology, cytology and molecular pathology laboratories. I am currently working at the Health Information Services department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to release patients' medical information for continuing care, payment and audits. I am also involved in organizing health
I have danced around with the many options in the medical field since high school, from paramedic to forensic pathologist and everything in between. I decided on medical assisting because I see it as a step towards other possibilities, a foot in the door to see what I enjoy and will want to do in the future. Medical Assistance have a wide working spectrum and are in many medical areas such as a family clinic, pediatrics, and plastic surgery. Because my goal is a forensic pathologist or autopsy assistant I want to be a medical assistant in plastic or general surgery because I believe it will be a wonderful step towards my goal. As a medical assistant you are held to a high standard of professionalism because the situations you will be working
