Statement Of Purpose: Becoming A Member Of The National Junior Honor Society

Being a member of the National Junior Honor Society would be an amazing opportunity that I would love to be a part of. It would be a great honor to be accepted into the society.

I really think that I am very qualified for National Junior Honor Society. I have seen students of NJHS making things for the community and I always join or support them because I think that helping others is a need, not an option. I like helping people, I like taking leadership and I would like to encourage others to change the world, that’s why I think that I am eligible for NJHS.

The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. I should be granted membership into the National Junior Honor Society for many reasons. First, I show leadership in many ways. Even though I do not hold a official leadership position, I still show leadership in multiple areas. In group projects at school, I always make sure my group stays focused, and I usually take a major role in doing the project. I also take a major leadership role on my baseball team, for I help mentor the younger and less experienced players. I also participate in Boy Scouts, where I also help teach the new scouts who have just joined lead by example.

It is truly an honor to be recognized by National Junior Honor Society. I realize it will take so much more than fantastic grades to be a part of NJHS. It will require tremendous commitment, determination, and a significant amount of time. I honestly believe that an NJHS member should always feel the need to always help others. The volunteer spirit should not only be shown in the community, but at home, church, and in school.

The reason that I am interested in becoming a member of the National Honor Society is because the National Honor Society represents all of the values that I find most important in my education and life. National Honor Society requires academic excellence throughout high school. At the beginning of my Freshman year, I set a goal to graduate with a 4.0 GPA. I have worked diligently to achieve and maintain this grade point average while taking several advanced classes. So far, I have taken three classes for college credit and plan to take multiple more during my senior year. Through the course of my high school education, I have realized how important it is for an individual to develop and maintain these studious habits. I believe I qualify for membership in the National Honor Society for the reason that I love helping out with school activities and non-school activities. I find pleasure in helping out in my community and being an exceptional example for kids that may look up to me or are younger than me.

On behalf of Beaufort Middle School, myself, Dr. Tomon and The Faculty Council we congratulate you and your student on being selected for membership to the Beaufort Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is a program that celebrates the success of many of our hardest working students, based upon academic achievement as well as the demonstration of outstanding character, service, leadership, and citizenship. These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built. Members of NJHS take pride in their accomplishments and work diligently toward the goal of attaining a superior education and contributing to their school and community. They do their best to provide positive role models for their peers.

I believe i should be in National Junior honor society because i work hard to keep my grades up, I take responsibility for my actions, I join in on school events like the dances and make sure i'm polite to my peers. I show leadership when the teacher leaves the room and i decide not to mess around, listening to the teacher in class and showing up to school with a positive attitude. When i show up to school with a positive attitude i smile say good morning and i’m ready to learn.

National Junior Honor Society will be a great opportunity for me. If I am accepted into NJHS I plan on keeping up my 4.0 average, balancing between school and outside of school activities, continuing to help my community/peers, and creating a specific idea to make a positive impact at the school. The next 3 paragraphs I will be stating why I will be a great member of NJHS, why it's good to help people, and something I could do to positively impact my school.

I think I should be considered for a membership for the National Junior Honor Society or NJHS because I am a different individual with a dream. My dream is to fulfill my parents dream and make them proud. My parents have done so much for me and they deserve to be repaid. My parents want me to go to a good college and graduate

National Honor Society describes the person I aspire to be. A person with character, leadership skills, and an honest person. I would love to be a part of a club that brings out the best within me. I am honored to be among the commendable students whom are being considered to be a part of such a prestigious organization, The National Honor Society. I have been wanting to be a part of this organization the second I stepped into this school. Of course I have worked vigorously for it, there has not been one year here at Lone Star where I have not been in less than 3 Pre-AP or AP classes with averages frequently resulting in an A. I work hard everyday and night in order to ensure my success now and in the future.
