The position researched for this assignment was that of a Child Care Center Director. Child care center directors administers the daily operations of a child care center. Licensing is usually necessary, in accordance to the state mandating the specific requirements. An additional credential that is commonly required is Child Development Associate (CDA) certification. Former experience in early childhood education is also important in most states. The education level can be dependent upon the child care facility and/ or state requirement, so this means that a child care director’s education can vary from a high school diploma to an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. The Child Development Associate is a special training for early childhood offered to employees, directors in an early learning center or daycare setting. According to DHHS(2009)The CDA is a credential that is equal to 12 semester college credits of professional education. The CDA is based on several training hours, observing in the classrooms and testing in order to receive certification. Once the certification is received it can be used to apply for an administrator or director’s position.

Why I Would Be A Good Fit Attending Gulf Coast Charter School has been something that I have wanted to do since my family moved down to Spring Hill, Florida. I have always enjoyed math and science. Hello, I’m Yuri. I know that I am a strong candidate for the CDA program, because all I have ever wanted to do since as long as i can remember is to work with children. The reason i want to work with children is because they give me such happiness, and motivation to do something meaningful with my life. Once i first heard about the program i was thrilled but just as terrified.

Qualifications Requirements: Director: The position of director is responsible for operations within the childcare center, to include acquiescence with regulations and communication with the department. As a director, he or she is to remain on the premises during all hours of operation and will be unable to accept any other form of employment that may interfere with stipulated duties. In order to become a director for a childcare center, an individual must meet several prerequisites before employment. These prerequisites include: background check, finger print clearance, health screening report with TB test, high school graduation or GED and 15 semester units at an accredited college in specified early childhood education classes. Three of the required units are to be in administration or staff relations, the remaining 12 units are to be in areas specific to child growth and development; child, family and community. Among these educational requirements, the individual must have completed four years of teaching experience, in a licensed center or an equivalent childcare program. However, two years are only required if the director has an AA degree in the area of child development or a child development program director permit, which must be issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Deciding to return to school at my age was definitely a difficult chose but I wanted to have a career and not just a job. Working already in the medical field, I realized that I would rather be an advocate for the people that need help adjusting to life’s changes, and people with mental, or emotional problems. I researched and saw that their where many career opportunities, in the Human Services field. Although, my primary purpose in life is to raise my children to be decent individuals, and understand that people are special in their own way. Coming back to school has help me see, and shows my children that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. I want to gather and learn as much knowledge as I can, too help me achieve my goal.

High School is where students get their education for them to get a better life and a good career for them in their future. One of my High Schools that I attended was Madera High School which is an old, calming school. Some of the students in that school may be smart, dumb or even just in between smart and dumb or even some nasty homophobic who despise homosexual people, lesbian, gay and bisexual identity. In fact, I knew someone who hates these kind of individuals and it make me think how such a person can hate these kind of human because everyone is the same we all have the same rights god gave us. I would like to attend Health Careers High School because I would like to become a doctor when I grow older. Ever since I was little I watched my dad work as a pediatrician and saw how happy he was when he diagnosed his patients correctly and when they recovered

The two schools that I chose were Nansemond River High School and Kings Fork High School which both are located in Suffolk, Virginia.
