My plans for next year while remaining at Corliss Early STEM High school is to pass all my classes and keep my GPA over a 3.8 average. I want to avoid all drama and stay away from students involved in too much mess. I was planning on transferring next school year because I don’t like the vibe that comes from the staff and some of the students. I changed my mind though, because people tend to work with other they dislike which shouldn’t stop you from completing a task. Things that led to me making this decision is my favorite teachers and friends. I have a personal bond and connection with some of the staff. My friends inspires me to strive and reach my goals. Changes I would like to take place in order of me staying, is by getting new books
I became interested in the STEM camp because I believe this camp will benefit me an enormous deal in the future. Attending the camp will support my future academic goals. In college, I intend to specialize in science, math, and technology. The STEM camp will help develop my educational interests and provide a glimpse into what I can expect from studying the areas of math, science and technology and engineering. I know that my future career will involve knowledge in these subjects and I want to do everything possible to allow myself to be exposed to whatever educational opportunities that can help me develop these skills. I would also like to have an experience at UTRGV because it is one of my possible college choices at this
I’m interested in attending USNA Summer STEM because I have a strong interest in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I plan on attending the United States Naval Academy and graduate as a Nuclear Reactor Engineer and serve my country for life. I have made strong connections with the staff at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and want to make great connections with the staff, cadets, and shipmates I’d be working alongside with at the academy. I hope to serve my country with Honor, Courage, and Commitment in the STEM field of the U.S. Navy.
I would like to inform you why I made the decision to enroll my daughter Raquel Cepeda ID # 5500531 in Veterans Memorial Early College High School. The school has a high academic level and low drop out rates giving the school a great image. Two of my children attended Veterans Memorial Early College High School for four years and I believe this school prepared them for their next step in life. I believe this school will provide my child the opportunities to discover her talents and expand her knowledge. I as a parent am very interested for her academic development and I strongly believe that this school will help her build a firm academic foundation that will lead her to obtain success in further education.
When I was nine I told my mother I was going to be the first female Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, and since then my passion for law and politics has only grown. I enjoy being in thick of things and using my energy to move ideas forward. I love persuading others on topics that I see will make our community better for all of us. Participating in activities and events such as Buckeye Girls State, and the National Speech and Debate tournament have broaden my horizons immensely. However, something not listed on the resume is the conversations that happen outside of the rounds, where people come together to discuss different issues because it excites them. I love the political process, it drives the activities I do, the classes
I would love to attend Wake STEM Early College High School because I believe it will give me a head start on my learning after the high school level. Your program will improve my college experience and save thousands of dollars in college tuition by giving me an associates degree and high school diploma upon graduation. I am also exceedingly interested in a career in science or mathematics. I have always been focused on learning science and math because it is something I love to do and I can have a successful career in the future by using those skills. I understand that attending this prestigious school will require a certain level of maturity and willingness to work hard. As an 8th grader at West Lake Middle School, I am a member of the National
The main reason I came to Bronx Science was because Bronx Science was my top choice for high school. Both my mom and I felt that Bronx Science will give me better opportunities than what the University Scholars program at Francis Lewis, the other high school I was accepted into, would give me. In this course I hope to cover genetics or anatomy because I am highly interested in the human body. I would like to know how cells work as well as DNA. I would also like to know how is passed down and what DNA we share with other things, if any, because of evolution. I am interested in anatomy because I’d like to learn more about how different parts of the body works with other parts. I find the anatomy of animals and insects especially interesting because
This was the only school that gave me an offer for baseball, and I have always wanted to continue my baseball career in college, so I happily accepted. All through high school my grades were never anything but average, but I am doing a lot better here, and it is still only my first semester. College has definitely been more challenging than high school. I have to take it upon myself to do my work on my own and be responsible, because no one is checking up on me to make sure I have it done and turn it in on time. I am doing much better here, though, because I have a remarkable amount of time on my hands, so I can do my work when I feel that it fits into my schedule. This is where high school and college differ, if I do not do my work, it is completely my fault, and I have to suffer the consequences. This is causing me to mature on my own, though, and take responsibility for my actions or the actions I do not
During high school I have been selected to be part of Beloit College Upward Bound program, which is for first generation students aiming to exceed a higher education, this program helped me be become prepared for college and also work experience by helping the community by helping out in food pantry
I could not stand it. As the creator of the microcosms living in the test tubes, I couldn’t make sense of what was actually taking place within them. While my seven weeks of anticipated results were to uncover the truth of my miniature world, I realized that this experience led to my understanding of my own world. In those crucial weeks, The University of Florida left me with an indelible curiosity that fuels my desire to return back and capitalize on the boundless opportunities.
Benet Academy instilled in me a strong moral compass, a wealth of knowledge, and a large personal drive. Through my Catholic education, I now see that the world has blessed me so much thus far in life that it only feels fair to give back. The way I desire to reciprocate is to serve my country in the Army. I believe my next step is to attend Boston College, which is renowned for its excellence in the business field and ROTC programs. My goal is to become an officer in the finance corps of the U.S. Army where exceptional mathematical skills are imperative. To prepare myself, I have taken challenging courses such as Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. I know that I can contribute to the large success with my competitive knowledge and social
1. I have developed an interest in science during my high school career, and love watching new technology being created. I figure that I will most likely either continue on to medical school after I receive my undergraduate degree or try to work to design new technologies that will aid scientific research and study. Therefore, it was really a no-brainer for me to pursue various STEM related courses and subjects. In my opinion, the STEM field contributes to innovation and world progress more than any other fields. Without STEM fields, I most likely wouldn’t even be able to type this paper, or use the internet to submit my college application and scholarships. If the STEM field were to disappear, the world would stagnate. In order to prevent
Discovery to Cure High School Internship Program will help me achieve my future goals because it will provide me an opportunity to perform extensive laboratory research as well as learn more about reproductive science, a field of medicine I am very interested in. This program will give me an opportunity to perform research beyond the realm of high school and will be a great learning experience. It will give me the opportunity to expand my knowledge on the fundamentals of research. I already have background knowledge about reproductive science by researching at Dr. Chung’s lab, but Discovery to Cure will offer me a chance to research women’s reproductive system. This is would be an extremely beneficial experience because I am interested in
This school has just the kind of support I need to fulfil my potential. I feel like a fledgeling still sitting in the nest, just waiting for the chance to jump out and stretch my wings. Although I am young, I feel the need to leave my nest before it’s time for my mother to give me a push. My goal is to enjoy my life in ways that I haven’t been able to before by satisfying my need for new experiences, feeding my curiosity, and
My reasons for wanting to transfer are mainly due to my unusual high school and college path. I began high school at the same time as my peers, but unlike them, I left after completing the 10th grade. My high school was unusual in that it ended in the 10th grade, and the graduating class was encouraged to attend one of the other high schools in the district or the local community college for the last two years. I didn’t feel as though those were the right options for me, as I felt as though I needed more than a high school and I wanted a more rigorous education than what I would find at either of those locations. Fortunately, I learned of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, a liberal arts college in Western Massachusetts which catered to those in
I see that you are seeking an elementary school STEM teacher. I believe I am the teacher you are looking for! I am a middle school science teacher with experience teaching technology to elementary school students and STEM to middle school students. In addition to this, I have spent many years helping elementary school teachers incorporate STEM into their required curriculum through the Professor In Residence program at William Paterson University. I hold a Highly-Qualified status and standard certificate in elementary education with subject matter specialization in science for grades 6-8. I taught middle school science for 8 years and STEM for the past year with a focus on the engineering design process. I am familiar with the NJSLS-S as
