My mother has always told me, “You can do whatever you want, as long as you put your mind to it.” To me, that phrase has always seemed to be a drummed up Togolese proverb used to instill a certain sense of fortitude in a child such as myself. Furthermore, it was probably not what she envisioned when I burdened with the news that I had been dismissed from Loyola University Chicago. In those precise moments, I woefully wished colleges addressed disciplinary letters to parents. That look of disappointment was one I promised I would never allow myself endure again. In a peculiar way, my dismissal propelled me to want more for myself. That fall, I enrolled at City Colleges of Chicago, an umbrella term for seven collective community colleges located

Having a plan about what to do with your future is an essential part of being successful. This plan could be as simple as going into the workforce right out of high school, or going to further your education. A plan should revolve around your personal career choice. A two step education plan to pursue a career as a bakery owner is the best choice for me after high school, even though some may argue against it.

I intend to place myself to the most beneficial and constructive educational atmosphere that I can. To do that, I believe the structure of the environment should have good morals and a good wholesome support system. Not only do I think Central Baptist College would bloom with these characteristics, but the far reaching effects of the college's nature would encourage and assist in my personal walk of
My uppermost three colleges I’m interested in are: Itawamba Community College, Mississippi State University, Northeast Mississippi Community College. I chose ICC to be in the band and to be close to home. Socially this college will be great for me because there are many different ways to be active on campus, and many people that I am friends with have attended there or are going to go there. Academically ICC is fantastic because it has small class sizes, so I can get more help if needed. Financially this is one of the cheapest junior colleges there are. Even though ICC is one of the cheapest community colleges in the nation, it is also one of the most successful. The students that graduate from there are more than likely to succeed than not.

Transferring to a four year school has never been a question for me, it is and always has been, a non negotiable expectation I have for myself. I am currently attending Mohawk Valley Community College, a two year school which I will be graduating from in December, after only three semesters, with an associates degree in International Studies. I chose a community college initially because I was unsure as to which field I wanted to major in. Before I made my decision however, I was presented with the idea that I should save money and go to a community college where I could change and explore different majors without any serious financial repercussions. This turned out to be the best decision I could have made at the time, as not only have

As I was growing up, James Madison University has been a college that I always planned on attending. On road trips, I would always get excited as we would pass through Harrisonburg. For some reason, though, I decided not to attend. This year I have realized that my heart truly does belong at James Madison University. The school is beautiful and it is perfect for my career path. My dream is to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and after further research, I feel like James Madison is the perfect place to fulfill that dream. Thinking about the possibility of attending James Madison University next year gives me a feeling of contentment that I have not felt in a long time. I have been researching James Madison a lot recently, and I am very
After graduating high school and attending my first year of college I felt out of place. I wanted to be more certain about my future and what I intend to do with it. I am kind of like a planner, I want my checklist all the way up to the point of what house I want to buy after having a steady job. But this does clash with how cautious I can be when it comes to my future. I feel that Virginia Commonwealth University can ease the lack a placement that I feel.
I would like to be part of the wonderful Georgetown College for a multitude of reasons: Being able to learn in the Intellectual community, being able to study at our Nation’s capital, being able learn and debate healthcare policy matters, being able to be in the topnotch premedical program that provides opportunities for clinical experience, research programs and community service activities.
